Possible to buy the International Version in the USA?

I live in the USA however want to buy the Nexus 5 for my friend in Hong Kong.
There are two versions of the device, one for North America and another for the rest of the world.
Does anyone know if there some way I can buy the International version of the device in the USA via the Google Play Store?

Via the Google Play Store? No
Via Amazon, Ebay, ordering through a Hong Kong or other international store, of course. With money all things are possible.

there is not 2 versions. you can buy the nexus 5 on the play store and ship it to your friend in HK.

I have read at few review sites that there are two versions of Nexua. One for North America and Europe while other for Asia. Will a Nexus bought from USA work in India? Am planning to buy from USA.

Yes there are 2 versions. From Android Central:
Networks (North America) GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
CDMA: Band Class: 0/1/10
WCDMA: Bands: 1/2/4/5/6/8/19
LTE: Bands: 1/2/4/5/17/19/25/26/41
Networks (Rest of World) GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
WCDMA: Bands: 1/2/4/5/6/8
LTE: Bands: 1/3/5/7/8/20
LTE bands used in Hong Kong are 3, 7 and 40. Band 40 is a TDD band not supported by either device. So far the only TDD band supported is 41 which matches Sprint's BRS spectrum. As you can see bands 3 & 7 (DCS 1800 and IMT-E 2600) are both only present on the "rest of world" version. So far Japan and Korea are the first Asian countries to get the N5 on Play Store.

Hi, who can tell me or show me where to find a description of the versions of the S7? Here in Sweden, when looking online I see:

- G930 F (Flat?)
- SM G930 Flat
Are these all the same version or are there differences?

Huawei Mate 20X no more with Band 28 in the official site!

Hi guys, something very strange just happen today, i was looking in the huawei hong kong site, and they are no more with Band 28 there in the specs... A few days ago, the Band 28 was there. This is very strange

The hong kong version was with all bands , and the AR-L00 chinese version was without band 28... now i'm confused.

Band 28 is the frequency 700mhz, the 700mhz frequency is much more stable to LTE connections.
Usually the band aggregation to LTE+ is B3+B28, B7+B28, B3+B7, some places is B1+B7, and other is more than 2 bands.
Most contries use the Band 28 to have a good LTE+

This is after they changed in the Hong Kong site, before that they were selling the HK version with B28.
I know this, because i was acessing the site all the time, to buy the HK version. But they didn't put it to sell again.
After a few days, they changed the specs.

No, .de is Germany = Deutschland.
I am interested in the 20 X, but the lack of B28 dampened my enthusiasm. I would mainly use it in Germany and the Philippines. For the Philippines the lack of B28 could be a real problem.

B28 is 700 Mhz, you don't need 700 MHz for Germany, because only Telekom will start with that.
And yes, de is Germany. This was a joke, because anybody know that.

Yes, the important band for Germany outside of the cities is B20. But Globe Philippines is using B28 and since I have family there, far away from the big cities, the possible lack of B28 concerns me.
