Hello, I don't have the Honor 6x. Is it possible to shoot in raw with 3rd party camera apps? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pl.vipek.camera2_compatibility_test If yes, are manual exposure, etc supported with 3rd party camera apps (Manual Camera)?
Does the stock camera app support raw after the Nougat update?
Yes it supports raw but not on the stock camera app. i use manual camera app for that.
i tried installing other apps like proshot, AZcamera, open camera etc but sad part is, in all of them longest shutter speed is limited to 1 sec.
Cameara FV-5 also supports raw and it gives better shutter speed but i dont think it is working on this phone.
Yes, there is but use 3rd party apps.
Untill now honor didn't include Raw format in their camera app
You can use this method, just shared it in the guides section as well. An option will appear for the stock camera.

Too bad it needs root

8 seconds
fastest is 1/10000 through 3rd party apps, 1/4000th with stock one

Shower shutter speed is 30 seconds,.
Hi,
Wha't the slowest/fastest shutter speed with manual camera app ? Is it worth the price ? Are there any bugs/limitations using it with honor 6x ?

If someone with a mate8 can kindly report back on whether the phone supports the FULL camera2 api
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sdgsystems.camera2probe&hl=en Can test and report which features are supported
Really looking forward to this phone, but I've heard some bad things about the camera. I'm thinking perhaps Camera2 api support would at least let me control some of the ISO settings / etc.
Thanks a lot !
Nope.
Nope. It doesn't support the new API (now).
Did a check and it does all the things except RAW support which I am not sure of.

Can someone with a Mate 8 re-test this? It's been a few months and maaaaaybe OTAs changed something..
I really dig this phone, but man that camera precessing is horrible.
Nope, no Camera2 API support now.

huawei have been making improvements, and i have to say that the camera is much much better on b321 firmware, even in dark lighting and also with 60fps recording.

No hurry. API2 has been added but now it's impossible to take low-light shots without flash. An error occurs and camera app closes.
Aftermarket camera apps do work fine though. Incredible how such errors can remain in a firmware release

SInce in the last two weeks we've seen B321, B323 and now B331, these are most likely some betas, and release firmwares with OTAs will appear later.
thats correct, based on the chinese websites that provided those firmwares, theyre all part of a mate 8 beta program, so actually its no surprise that theres no L29 firmware update and not ota update yet

I want to buy the honor 8 but I am not sure if the photosphere images from Google camera are good. This is the most important thing in a phone camera for me.
Has anyone tried it yet? The photospheres on my current Redmi note 3 are a blurry mess
Also can anyone please share a photosphere picture here from the phone so anyone who is on the fence like me will find it useful
looks good imo

Anyway, thanks

As many have heard or experienced, the stock Razer camera sucks. The Google Camera Port is awesome but does anyone know the optimal setting for the Razer phone? Those options are complex and I have no idea about really any of them.

I haven't tried that TBH. I just use the internal storage.
Here you go
https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/....20_7.0H_C2API_v.4.0_AllinOne_Full_Manual.apk
That apk based off google camera 4.4 modified by B-S-G .
I had issues with recent 5.x update so do recomend just stick with 4.4
does it make any difference at all between the stock and this google camera?
it's the only thing keeping me from buying this awesome phone , that is the camera of course.
cheers !

Hey guys, I installed the Pixel camera app and immediately I noticed an improvement. The Razer camera seems to have a lag to it when moving it to different objects to take a photo. The Google app eliminated that. It's very smooth. Also, I noticed using the Google apk the photos don't look as grainy.
I can't wait for Razer to make improvements to the camera. It has potential. I will continue to experiment with this Google apk.

Hey guys, here's that link to the video comparison if you want to see it.
Google pixel camera apk on Razer phone.
Proves Razer's camera has potential!
The video compares the camera of the Pixel 2 XL to the camera of the Razer.
The video does not show the Razer phone using two different apps.

My friend, watch it again. He specifically says it's the Razer phone using the Pixel 2 XL ported camera app.
I think I actually prefer razer cam, the colour have a better depth and overall contrast - still dreaming of root and camera2 api for RAW capability, this phone will be a dream when that day comes!

When the lumia 1520 came out it was so horrible I stopped using the camera. Took a few months but they fixed the app, camera is still amazing even with the new phones coming out.
This is one area they're focusing on, they remarked they wanted to at least get basic functionality down, which you have to give them props on, Jan-Nov and they get a concept to market, and it doesn't suck. lol
Coming from years of Sony phones I have to say this is quite the piece of kit. Thoroughly enjoying audio and video. The camera is quite bad but I can wait for a fix.
Cool, right off the bat I can take pictures of text on my monitor without it going fuzzy like the pre-update camera app. Anyone care to try post-update razer camera app to take a pic of a website on their monitor? Does it go fuzzy?
i need the pixel camera to save to external sd card - is there a modded apk which offers this option?
obviously the reason it doesnt have that option off the bat is because the pixel does not have a micro sd slot

Anyway try launching the camera via the lockscreen see if that prompts you to change the default

Let's be honest the 7 Pro is not a very good camera right now. We all know with OnePlus it will take a few updates to get the camera where we want it. I was wondering if the Gcam apk is a better alternative right now or is it still in development for the 7Pro??
Don't know about you guys, but I been taking really good photos with it. Stock app and not even Nightscape.

well for me its no bother tho
its fine with only that much for me
4:3 is 4000x3000
1:1 is 3000x3000
full is 1840x4000
and iirc i never seen any option for "custom resolution" in any stocks camera (other phone) apps too ?
well your best bet is probably using other camera apps
