Pre Order Confusion - Samsung Galaxy S8+ Questions & Answers

Ok I preordered direct from Samsung my S8+, one of my friends is doing the carrier route. The confusion is over the AKG headphones. I thought that was only included if you bought the $99 extra package? He says no he's getting them with his S8 in the pre order? Is that just because he did it thru the carrier and I went direct thru Samsung??

My understanding is the headphones are included with the phone, pre-order or not.

This should solve your confusion.
http://www.phonearena.com/news/Whats-the-best-deal-on-a-Galaxy-S8-or-S8-preoder-BestBuy-vs-Walmart-Costco-Target-and-Sams-Club_id92882

I think only the earbuds come with it. The full headphones are only part of that $99 offer.

Ok maybe he's not understanding what I am saying about the Earbuds and thinks its the headphones. LOL

I'm sure all S8 & S8 Plus devices ship with "Earbuds" tuned by AKG, this is my understanding.......

Earbuds are headphones. On ear headphones are part of the $99 package. The in ear headphones are free in the package with the phone.

I understood it to mean if you paid the extra $99, you'd get the wireless version of the earbuds tuned by akg. All others come with the wired version

Since the big 4 carriers won't provide any subsidize phones, I just sumply hate to order new phones

Earbuds are not headphones. Headphones are over ear and earbuds are in ear. Is a iPod a walkman? Lol

The AKG headphones that you get in the box are wired earbuds. The ones you get in the $99 package are over-the-ear bluetooth headphones (AKG Y50BT), like in the image below:

What earplugs are you using with O1

What earplugs/headset/earphone are u using with this handset and how does it perform..Is the audio quality good?? What is the price that you bought it for?? Is it comfortable and easy to carryout around?? Wud u recommend it ???
Sony EX35LP ...
bought it when I was in Japan so dont remember the price ( maybe 1200 INR ??)
performance is decent ( I have used em previously with my Nokia 5800xm ... obviously they sounded better on the Nokia) ...
A super cheap but decent Creative headset xD Lacks bass.
I am using Creative EP630 its kinda very famous here and also the market lacks variety..I wud say the audio is an "big improvement" over the stock headset..However EP630 does not respond well to high frequencies producing some shrill and hiss noises..ITs Worth 700INR~USD$16 here
Dr.Dre Beats are the way to go
Philips SHP2700 are quite good. Not so mobile, but cheap and the sound quality is way better than my previous Koss Porta Pro (25th anniversary is such a crap).
default earplug with poweramp on classic preset = ownage
use the original earplug. but it was painful in my ear.
i m thinking to buying Philips She9500 next month...India is a very poor market for quality earpieces from klipsch or seinheiser..they are friggin costly..Philips/Creative or maybe SOny on Seinheiser
hiss problem exists with any other headset, except original
sennheiser HD202!!
AUSOME QUALITY....DA BEST WAY TO MAKE USE OF UR PHONE WEN ON DA MOVE FOR MUZIC!!
aaauuusssoooommee!!!
plz mention the price too in USD
i'm using the nuforce ne-7m headset. works well but it's a little expensive.

Klipsch Image S4I?

Just purchased a pair of these because of the reviews it has gotten. I bought them on ebay and was wondering if anyone has used them on their Fascinate, if so what functions worked and which ones didn't? I want to know just in case they don't work at all I can start looking for a buyer before they even get here. Any info appreciated.

UPDATE:
I just got these recently and if you are looking for a headset that sounds great and will answer calls and drop calls with the one middle button then I highly recommend a pair of these. No complaints at all. They are regularly $89 plus tax at BB but I got a pair on Ebay for $56 straight up. If you guys are interested for a pair PM me and I will let you know what seller sold them to me. They average in the $50-$65 dollar range. Depending on how many people are watching the auction. The seller I dealt with shipped them out on a Sunday and I got them on Wednesday. Pretty fast shipping considering he sent them from NJ to CA. As far as the sound I think they sound great. Very clear sound and the base sounds really good.
I have a set of those that I gave to my wife. None of the functions work except answering the phone and using the microphone. No pause/play, FF/REW or volume control.

Sweet! That is all I was looking for. Using the button to answer a call and being able to use the mic. How do they sound, if you don't mind me asking? I don't hear to many bad reviews about them.
They sound pretty good. Probably the best sounding for under $100.
That's good news. I paid $56 for a pair, thought I over paid, but if the pair works out, I think I may have made out. Thanks for your input. Much appreciated.

Bluetooth car Dock-Parrot Minikit-NICE! Will it work?

Has anybody tried this vehicle bluetooth dock? Looks pretty bad ass and would work with future phones. Maybe this could be my last dock for a while? Just wondering about the volume rocker on the sensation. Looks like accessing the charging port might not be an issue.
Looks well made and not really a bad price when you price the official sensation dock (that doesnt have bluetooth)
What do you think?

That's a good price, was looking at that but was expensive, better the the OEM dock.. Parrot is a good Bluetooth brand, and it should work, don't see why it wouldnt...

Looking at the pics makes me miss my n1 a little lol...
But personally I have never used parrot, but looks like a good alternative. But this tread reminded me about my BlueAnt S4 that I have stashed away because it didn't play well with my Nexus one with MIUI.
Just ordered it along with a sonos s5 zone player and zone bridge.. gotta love wireless
That product screams "Break into this car and steal me... im worth it"

Yes the wonderful N1. I ordered a new one from ebay for $250 bout a week or so ago, gave my original to my girl when i got the EVO 4G. It looks like the senation may spend a few days down being replaced so the N1 will make a nice back-up.
Bump... Its hard to believe nobody has tried one of these...on any phone? mine has shipped so it wont be long now

Bluetooth Headphones/earbuds

I was wondering what Bluetooth headphones/ear buds you guys use our recommend. I'm tired of either getting wires in the way while I'm exercising our having then eventually fray and stop working. I've heard of Jay Buds but don't know a lot about them. Of course I would prefer not to sacrifice sound quality for convenience. Thanks.

If you really want top quality for music, no bluetooth headphone will ever compare to wired, but if you can deal with some quality loss, Bose makes a great bluetooth set, although very expensive. .The Motorola S10 is pretty good for the price
Moto s9. Absolutely love them. Sound is very good. I'd recommend over s10. S10 are less comfortable and more bulky IMO.

I'll second this, fair price for wireless with solid bass and clear vocals. And bonus, one charge lasts all day, from a set that is little more than the buds and the wire between them.
Thanks for the responses, I think I will be ordering a par of the jaybird bluebuds X this weekend

I recommend this one all the time (pink) just cause it is 13 dollars cheaper but it gives incredible sound for a cheap price.

If you want extremely good sound quality and if you don't have much of a budget, I suggest the Bose Soundlink II

If you want good sound and more of a budget I suggest the Jambox.

There are many other types and brands, but when it comes to really good quality you gotta spend atleast over $100..

Completely agree with this. I have heard good things about the Jabra Solemate and even the Logitech UE boombox aswell as the beats pill but that is pushing $200+.
I would wait on a sale since big box stores like to put these portable speakers on sale and you could score a deal.

I've been super happy with my Logitech UE. A little pricey but great sound for the size along with a simple design (I'm not a fan of the gaudy alien egg design)

I have the UE Boombox and it's great. You can connect via bluetooth up to 8 devices, has a good range, and battery lasts for about 8-10 hours.
