hi,
As I say in the title I have overheating issues (60-70ºC) with my mi4c (miui7, android 5.1) only when I use camera app or whatching any video in youtuve app. In overall I am quite happy with the ROM.
I read some users solved overheating with thermal files ports from LG G4. Do you recommended me any of these thermals files that works in Miui?
Thanks in advance (and sorry for my bad english)
I think you should upgrade to a newer version of MIUI. There are some tweaks for Mi4c on XDA forum but they apply to newer versions of MIUI.

Miui8 drains my battery too much, I still no see very stable roms.
I found the reason why the camera starts to heat up the phone: there is a process call "mm-qcamera-daemon". I dont know the reason why this happens..

Try TS CM13 123116 build. Very, very stable and better battery life than MIUI.

No problem.
Does anyone know what causes this bug or which patch introduced it? Thought it could be a memory leak in the kernel as a hot reboot does not help and OS Monitor shows nothing special...
Is this bug on pink kernel too?
All I know is that stock 4.4 doesn't have this problem. I have no idea whether it's a kernel bug or not.
You said, in CM versions before and including 2014-02-24 this bug doesn't exist, right?

That's the way it looks to me too. I've tried every nightly since that date and while some builds take longer to show it, it always comes back anywhere from 2 to 15 hours into use.
Hi,
I'm using the ue version of xiaomi but I don't like because I'm having problems with some apps and I'm gonna try with official version but I don't howni can do it.
I have installed the last twrp. Can I download the official rom and just install it?
Thank you
Enviado desde mi Mi-4c mediante Tapatalk
Hello,
you can try and flash china stable rom from xiaomi, but you will likely have same issues...
If you flash official china dev rom with twrp you will lock your bootloader and probably you will end in a bootloop...
Xiaomi rom aren't so much customized, they remove the bloatware and optimize some thing, if you have problems you will have with any other Miui rom...
Which apps don't work on your phone? What version of the system you currently have?
I had installed a rom from EU to get Spanish and the play store. This Rom don't works very well with the keyboard and sometimes the apps just close them.
Yesterday finally I installed the stable version of miui and works perfect in the phone. Just I'm having a problem with the icons of the apps because they don't look very nice.
I'm gonna try to have a look why this happens with the icons. Maybe it's for the play store that I installed.
Which version do you have?

I'm on sMiui 6.1.28 and it works very well, but i'm using english language, so i dont have translation issues...
Miui have a whole set of different icons for popular apps, many of your apps will look differently...

Yes, I had the same version. It works fine but sometimes I was having problems with the apps. After I tried the official Chinese rom I can say that works better.
About the icons I have tried to install some themes but I don't know why the play store icon or WhatsApp looks horrible! I would like the same icons than the EU version.
I will investigate more about this!

The guys at Xiaomi.eu make their own icons, that's why they look different. You won't get the same icons with the official China ROM. I hope you're not flashing China ROMs with TWRP. You're just asking for a bootloop eventually.

Thank you!! I didn't know why the icons were different!
I had the Chinese ROM (stable) but I came back to EU and after the installation I did a wipe and now the phone works fine. We will see how works along the week!

Hi! Recently, many people have asked how to flash IdleKernel on S7 Ports. As I got it working a month ago while porting Marshmallow I'm uploading it here.
What has changed over 5.1 base?
Fully supporting Marshmallow ports
It fixes all RIL issues on these roms (such as SMS problems)
Battery charging it's now about 15% faster
All advantages of IdleKernel for 5.1 ports (F2FS, configuration, overclocking etc.)
How to install ?
Just flash using recovery

Source: https://github.com/artas182x/idleKernel-note3
Thanks, gonna flash it
Thanks for this and for your rom

Only you? Anyone else?
@artas182x How fast can you get it to charge? I'm getting 1200 mA on stock roms and only 450 mA on s7 ports (using Ampere).
Can you make the haptic feedback work it's working in darklords kernel
Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
Thank you very much for your kernel. I use your kernel in my 5.1.1 port and I'm never disappointed. My question is will your kernel resolve the Hotspot issues in the S7 port? Or the 3 way calling issue I have with the the port?
Hi, installed the kernel with Darkwolf V3 and the zygzoo ROM, work well
Extremely long to charge, 35 % charge in about 2.2 hours
It charges using stock charger at 1500 or 2100 mA. If you don't use stock charger results may be vary.

I don't know why..but only darklord kernel works for me!! idlekernet dont work with any rom even the 5.1.1 ports..
not work in s7e dark loard it boot but i can't munt sd card and some apps fc
Awesome work sir
Sir now we note 3 users got only 2 kernel devs (you and Darkera)
I'm asking about another add on to the kernel. Plz dont get angry with me i know you guys are too busy with your works too.
I asked severel times about this in threads but asked about it any dev.
Youre still developing the rom and kernel so i think you will think about this positively.
I saw an option called tapwake in note 2 agni kernel. Its not tapwake as it spells.
Its an option that we can stop sleeping the device after sreen went off using just one tap on display. In a configurable time limit.
If you have time to see whats this and is it worth to have. I think that would be awesome.
I saw that feature in severel jb kernels made for n3. But the function slept away with kk and lollipop updates.
Plz just give it try sir.
(Sorry about too bad english without grammars) ❤✌

Have you Flashed a custom rom?
I've read there are more problems with the camera on non stock roms.

Only with the kernel source that Huawei released. But stock camera opens, it just can't save any photos you take.
Any way to get good performance in Rome based on lollipop, marshmallow and nougat? Because I have been testing a lot of roms and all of them suck in terms of performance. And I do not understand why people love them. The only rom that is excellent at performance is CyanogenMod 11 unofficial

I agree, everything I've tried is terribly slow. Do you have a download link for CM 11 unofficial?
