Have you tried factory reset? Also dial *#06# and check whether the IMEI is displayed correctly or as 0/null.

I have exactly the same problem
It seems that one of the users (another threath LG H900 5.1 > 6.0 problem) is right and I upload software h900 6.0 via KDZ via TOT even via octopus and nothing, even the same error is possible that the main card is not h900 but another variant?, He says he solved the problem by loading vs900 software because the main card was not h900 but refurbished vs900.
I opened the phone and I was right, now i am going to load the correct software and tell you.
I am facing same problem
I don't know what i can do i brought from in dubizzle for second hand...att h900 and for me mobile hostpot not working...
Everyone getting same problem who update has phone by LGUP. Who update from FOTA like who living in US so they don't have any problem.
I brick my phone in reupdating my mobile in LGUP then I install again lollipop root version .
I face error many times but I try again and again and now I downgrade finely.
Anti roll is 2.0 that's why u can't go back to lollipop from marshmallow. But there is a way
Everything is possible if u use ur mind because it's made by human not God.

Please make a more detailed description, I have managed to skip antirollback protection with octopus but I leave the dead phone completely brick, another way is to force the rom but also end up killing the phone, phone no logo no load, no update mode or anything if Have you been able to bypass the protection without killing your LG could you share your method?
Any suggestion how to repair that type of problem, or how to go back to 5.1.1
thanks

You're on latest update, as you can check here http://hwmt.ru/hwmtsite/firmware-database/?firmware_model=bln-l21c185b140&firmware_page=0 without a model debranding, at the moment you cannot receive other updates.
So I wont be getting emui 5 or 6 for that matter?

Exactly, not for now at least without a device rebranding. Oh yes, EMUI 6 will be on Oreo, and we still don't know for sure if our device will finally get it or not.

You could try to force the update by going on system update -> clicking on the 3 dots on upper right corner -> choose 1st option, "download latest update". If nothing is found, you could flash latest update by dload method.

Flash these files via dload. it should update you to the BLN-L21C185B361 version.

This happens the most when wrong firmwares for your build number are downloaded, but with the 3 packages that shashank linked to you yes, you are safe. They're official packages that matches your build
Thanks. Will flashing these void my warranty.
And if you don't mind, could you give me instructions on how to flash via dload...

These are absolutely stock version and no warranty loss.
For dload, check my signature below for dload guide. It is quick steps for all requirements and you can flash files easily.
Call customer care or chat with their online support they will ask for IMEI and few other things and updated will be there within 48 hours they have that hi care app where u can get online support or from there website or twitter or simply by calling customer care number
Thanks
Hey guys, sorry for the necrobump. I successfully flashed update.zip using dload (had to move it to internal storage to flash successfully).
But whenever I try to flash the 2nd file "update_full_BLN-L21_hw_meafnaf.zip" it goes upto 5% and fails. Also while booting it says "Your device has failed verification and may not work properly". On top of that, I lost file manager and update option in the settings (probably because the 2nd file did not flash). And for some reason, my build no. is "NRD90M test-keys" now...
Please help.
FYI, I'm still not rooted nor unlocked Bootloader.
I had the same problem: recovery stuck at 5 % until timed-out. Please make sure that your device is not connected to your computer via USB and then reboot into recovery mode. I unplugged the cable from both devices to be very sure.

I've managed to grab a copy of the v10d KDZ for the G710EM variant of the G7.
This firmware was originally an UK release, I believe customised for O2 (the only carrier to so far take the G7 in the UK).
This firmware originally shipped as an OTA upgrade to O2 branded handsets and was on my phone; but having "downgraded" to v10b, I can no longer re-upgrade to v10d either using LG Bridge or LG UP. (the update gets to 98% and then errors - the phone restarts the update process and then hangs at 2%. A hard power cycle of the phone brings it back online with the previous software version intact)
I'll gladly make this available if people want it; but it comes with the warning above that this *may not* work on your handset.

Me too. I am waiting for firmware update. I have G710em v10b and noting no update. Is this normal???

Sorry for the delay replying guys.
I've found that this update does not install over v10b (at least on my phone) as "upgrade" - it needs to be installed as "refurb".
This means it will do a factory reset after the installation
I guess you used uppercut, didn't you?
If so, how did you manage to flash as refurbished? I thought only upgrade option works.
My Lg G710EM upgrade today to v10f by FOTA. Now I have 4k 60fts. So I dont need kdz file.
Thank a lot

Thx for your information.
A totally newbie question, actually two.
checking via LG bridge or OTA, does it makes any difference? Or they are both available at the same time?
Isn't there a "Sammobile" like website where you can just download the new updates and flash it?

The update available through FOTA (Firmware over-the-air) and LG's desktop software - LG Bridge.
LG push OTA update first and then several days later, You can use LG bridge to upgrade your phone.
Swedish newbie here.....
I was on v10b and rooted it. Now upgraded to v10f through computer as FOTA failed. Root is of course gone.
Is there any root for v10f yet?

Can not be fixed remotely. No USB connection. You can try to use a dload firmware+Huawei storage card. I don't say it wil work but i don't say it will not work. You have to try.
You didn't mention what firmware version was on it and what is now.

I also have the same issues as the OP. My phone can't supercharge and connect to pc.
That means USB OTG is not working. That means also you couldn't try ”my” firmware. Find a Huawei storage card and try.
Can I try something else? I can access the USB stick with otg but it keeps saying that the package is not compatible when I try to flash it.
Thanks for the help.
Give me an email address. I can send you via We Transfer, few dload firmware to try.
Do I flash it with the same method?
Thanks a lot for the help man.
Delete your email address. I will send you the link to download via PM. Will be 10.1.0.176 and 11.0.0.193. The same method. Unzip and copy dload folder to the memory stick. Try one and after that the other (if the first one is not working).

I am able to disable retail mode with root junkys guide. Ill post it below. Credit goes to root junky for the disabling retail mode guide. I am currently trying to flash another software KDZ on a retail mode LG Velvet 5G. I run into this error in LGUP. I am using a modified LGup file. has anyone been able to wipe these phones. i saw another xda member claim that the LG wing will flash in LGUP but I cannot figure it out. i tried all options in LGUP. Any IDeas?
click on the retail mode app and put in the password
password 103729
click on factory data reset in the app and put in admin code
Admin L310MC570G
wait for the device to fully factory reset. Once it boots up quickly go into setting about phone and click on the build number 7 times then go into developer options.
open a adb windows on your pc and start adb server with with adb devices.
then toggle usb debugging and click always allow.
disable device admin
adb shell
am start -S com.android.settings/.Settings\$DeviceAdminSettingsActivity
uncheck retail mode admin and deactivate it.
reboot from the shell with reboot.
Uninstall retail mode app
adb shell
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.lge.retailmode
reboot from the shell with reboot.
Demo mode locks removed
Hope this helps those out there that needed it. The battery will still only charge to 50% but everything else will work as far as i can tell so far.
Rootjunky Out.

How did you get a network signal without imei?
I rooted my Samsung device previously, but has since done a clean flash and locked the bootloader so it's back to how it originally was. But now, if I update my phone, the IMEI & baseband are gone. I discovered that clean flashing the firmware A125FXXU1BUG1 seems to fix the issue for me.
So my question is, is it possible to update my phone without loosing my IMEI and baseband? And is this an issue caused by Samsung or me rooting my phone?
The same thing for me, I rooted, then go back to stock like you did but can't update to the latest version A125FXXU1BUI3. I'm currently on version A125FXXU1BUF9.
Edit.
I tried multiple times and couldn't upgrade. I updated it from the first available firmware Android 10 to the latest Android 11 in my region (A125FXXU1BUI3 XTC) with no luck. I tried every existing firmware on my device without success in updating to the current version, and I'm still stuck on version A125FXXU1BUF9. A125FXXU1BUI3 is only 710 MB in size, but no dice. I believe we are to blame for rooting our phones.
No luck means invalid IMEI and invalid baseband.
The issue isn't because you rooted your phones. Since the update A125FXXU1BUG6 I have also experienced IMEI and Baseband errors and I've never rooted my phone. I think the updates have a bug in them or something. Same goes with the latest A125FXXU1BUI3 update. I thought the latest one would fix it but it didn't. Waiting to see if the November security update will fix it
These are fimware issues made by samsung, they are not happending because you rooted your phone or triped knox or other... It's a ordinary fimware bug I thought they would fix in BUI3 which relased after BUG6(where the issue started happending) I thought then someone would allready report that, I don't actualy know if samsung knows this is happending or they just don't care to fix it.
And it's like as if anything over BUF9 is good... it really isn't. Some people say thay get bootloops and other weired issues on GSIs with fimware over BUF9 version. I haven't tested that my self yet, so I'm going of others people words. I dindn't test it because when I first saw the IMEI issues I didn't care to test.
Anyway, going to send a modem.tar file which could fix the issues, haven't tested....
I've flashed the new A125FXXU1BUJ4 November security update and the bug is still there but I was able to flash this IMEI/Baseband repair file and it fixed it. I actually reported to samsung but their response was to visit a help center. I guess they don't know it a bug in their firmware. Just flash the file using Odin and add it in CP.
The fix was posted on this forum:
