condolences to Kyphur

Hi everyone:
I just found out earlier from the Kaiser forum that Kyphur, one of the mods on this website, lost his grandfather.
I wanted to offer my sincere respect to Kyphur's grandfather and pray that God bless his soul and make the after life easy for him. And at the same time i pray that God give Kyphur and his family the strength to get through this tragedy. His loss indeed is our loss as we are all one big family here in this community.
If anyone else would like to share their condolences please post under this thread. Kyphur invests his personal time into our community here and i consider this community a family, even though i am pretty new to it i have gotten alot of guidance and help from everyone here.

[Question] Can a Team Leader be a Forum moderator?

Can this get some kind of trouble or Conflict Of preferens for his team mates?

What do you mean "team leader"? There is no harm in applying once the applications are open again.

ok what i mean is, lets say, i have an android team here in xda, lets say team towchwiz and i became forum moderator of tne glacier section, the one my team develop roms and things like that, this can bring team preferense with the forum moderator with his team mates?

We have many moderators who are also part of Dev teams. If you did become a moderator, I am sure that would be taken under consideration when you are given an assignment.

I wouldnt be surprised if someone accused you of favoritism sooner or later.

You wouldn't believe the crazy stuff moderators get accused of. That is why we have senior moderators and admin to make sure they are not stepping out of line

Haha, I do. I've been browsing this website way since before I registered. Im starting to catch on on some things you guys go through. Hang in there and keep up the good work. We all appreciate what you guys do for us, even if we give you a hard time sometimes.

The long and short of it is the majority of forums here are for developers and of course the staff would be selected from said group of developers. Internal policy would dictate what would be appropriate discipline-wise, and if inappropriate actions were taken they would be reviewed accordingly. Either way most forums have rules for these chains of command.

To the mods and admins of this part of XDA. Especially sd_shadow.

I am not new to XDA, but I am new to the Fire HD section. I have been reading a lot of posts and I have to say the mods/admins are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Especially sd_shadow.
I just wanted to say thanks in general and thanks in advance because I will likely glean so much information from this part of the forum after my HD 10 arrives tomorrow. :good:
Also, please take note that I am not kissing a** here because honestly I am kind of an a**hole. LOL

Just donate a few bucks to xda

I've donated to devs before and I've also surfed XDA without an ad blocker since opening an account. It's the least I could do. Sometimes reading that someone appreciates you is as good as monetary rewards.
