The confusing part is that if you go to the main samsung.com.au site it is advertising that if you order now, you will receive the device by April 21st...

Ok so, I just spoke with a CSR and I have been told that the phones will be shipped out on the 21st and delivered on the 24th!

So far from my preorder experience, I used to get on the specified date. If we getting on 24th, what's the point in preordering? I think we will be getting on 21st onwards. Else, I will drop by JBHIFI or someone and get the phone on hand on 21st.

The site clearly says that you will start getting from 21st April.

Looks like it ships on 21st, sits with Aus Post over the weekend and we should have it by April 26th... Wish we were getting it sooner but at least our Gear VR comes with our phone!

UPDATE: Just got off the phone with Samsung Australia, spoke to 2 reps, including a Supervisor; apparently we were advised during the pre-ordering process that the GearVR would not arrive until 28 days (or longer) after the phone arrived....
Don't know about you guys, but I was not advised, in fact, I have email receipts and print screens stating that the gearvr ship on the 21st!?
Anyone else?

Same here. But I don't work about Gear VR at all. Its a useless device. I got one with my S7 which I used for 30mins and never used it again. You cannot use it continuously as it creates fog inside on continuous usage.

Lol, works fine here, that fog goes away after about 10 mins, anoying i know. Also you can just use an antifog spray, just the generic stuff they use for prescription lenses.
Anyways, rep also confirmed indeed they ship on Friday and should arrive on the 24th

Which is basically what I had mentioned a few days ago from my conversation with a Samsung CSR.
The bigger question is, why send it on a Friday and just have it sitting at Auspost over the weekend... That is just cruel. The ideal scenario is to have it on a Friday and have the whole weekend to play with the new toy.

Sounds like the have logistics issues.... they really need to get their priorities straight.
Beside alll that, having that much $$$$ just sitting somewhere for 2 days when it could have been avoided by sending it 2 days earlier is just a stupid thing to do, it creates an unecassary peril to the device that otherwise could have easily been avoided. Insurance policy would typicicaly.....

If you or they missed Monday delivery, we have to wait till Wednesday as Tuesday is holiday again.

Truth is im not all the excited to get it on time or early for a few reasons;
The vr doesnt arrive with the phone and I need both the gear vr and the phone to effectivly evalute if the display is free of defects so the more time it takes to reach me, the better. Was hoping I be able to do this within that 14 day change your mind policy... What a ...
Also, i'm not going to be truly excited about this phone until TWRP is up and running on it and hopefully at most were a month away from that arriving...
Lastly, it seems like in the last 10 years things have progressively gotten a whole lot worse in the QA for all manufactures, it seems these days you don't get a device your happy with until you have fought with the CSR reps and exchanged the units a few times, etc.. I actually dislike purchasing new gadgets with displays for this reason, it's a royal pain in the arse!!
I just couldn't pass up that damn vr promo! Here's to hopefully being excited about S8+ a month from now when the dust settles

I also ordered the Galaxy Great and have not received this email message. I guess I will wait and see which ships first.
I did not preorder, I am taking my chances in store on Tuesday.

RE - Sprint Galasy S6 Edge

So I was checking the status of my preorder because Sprint, like always, managed to screw something up and the girl at order support tells me that they will be receiving them on the 10th and then shipping them out afterward. Now, I know customer service reps do not know everything so you take it with a grain of salt BUT what is the point of having a pre-order if you are going to ship the devices and your customers will be receiving them after the launch date. Wouldn't it be better to just walk into one of their retail locations and purchase the phone that way?
Now, Like I said, I don't know if this is indeed true or if she just did not know what she was talking about but if the phone does go out later then the launch date, that is really ridiculous....
My order status says the following:
Status: Your order for the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge 64GB Black has been received. For orders placed through 3:00 p.m. CT on 4/7/15, we will do our best to deliver on or around 4/10/15. I know what the order status page states. I am just telling you what one of the order support reps told me over the phone. Sprint made a big mess on my account, which has to be corrected on the backend and I wanted to make sure it would not impact my pre-order. I called in and asked her if everything was still okay since the big screwup and she said it was and then went on to when they would actually be receiving the devices, etc. Like I stated in my previous post, she could have been wrong because phone reps usually do not see the big picture only the part of the picture that is available to them but just thought I would share just in case.
I hope she was just clueless & we'll get our Edges well before the 10th.
I remember there used to be a similar concern for the S4 preorder back in 2013. In the end, Sprint delivered the preorder 3 days ahead of launch date for me.

If you got your order in then you shouldn't have anything to worry about, inventory is probably at the warehouse already. Whoever you spoke with on the phone wouldn't have a clue as to what is at the various warehouses.

It's been known since pre-orders that gold would be delayed but people keep making a big deal about it. If people didn't want to wait they should have selected one of the other two colors that were available.

I got tracking number at 2pm and when I tracked it, it said early shipping for wednesday and that it was supposed to come Thursday. Its great.
I'll be getting mine tomorrow, coming from Kentucky

Check yours when you get home for scratches on the display. Mine should be delivered today also. Hoping that there is no display issues like with the others some people have gotten on the other two carriers that started shipping early.
That's the plan. I'll update when I check them out.

Mine is scratch free, as far as I can tell. I used a multi-LED flash light. The sun test is the other test. There was a lot of garbage in the wrap thing though. Lots of trash, specs of stuff. Could have just been dust. I don't know.
The wrapping on mine had a load of crap under it. No wonder they're getting scratched up in transit. Look under the M.
My screen was perfect as well, no scratches at all. Beautiful phone.

List updates from Samsung Direct(USA)

They have been silent except the promise arrive by 20th date. I assume they are shipping Fedex and not UPS. I have notification set up on both UPS and Fedex just in case. I have zero results of a label having been created and no movement from the order status screen. Please list any correspondence that you all have had with Samsung. It does not matter what carrier is chosen just the ones that are being sent direct from Samsung for those that have ordered from their site.

I ordered on 04/03. If it is delayed, I learned my lesson and will not order direct again just to get the extras quicker. Samsung is really pitiful if they mess this up. Im so jealous of the people who were smart enough to order straight from TMO

Mine delivered today, got charged late last night. Phone's charging as I type this up.
Anybody try tracking via FedEx? As long as you ordered from Samsung.com you can track by reference and use your order# followed by a "-01" and make sure to choose the destination country and destination zip code. Worked for me, was able to figure that out once I received my tracking info from FedEx and I tried it to see if it would help any others. Give it a shot if you haven't received anything yet.
Well I spoke with them and they said they are trying to ship the bundle together and then slipped up saying 6-8weeks for the bundle but trying to ship together or right after they ship phone. She also said 3 days max for preparing then shipped out no later than 3 days time of order

Gear VR Pre-Order Room

I was part of the T-Mobile S8 preorder and decided to make this. We can discuss the gear VR and shipping around it. Has everyone submitted their order and how did you submit it? I did it with the Samsung Shop app.
You know what sucks?.....the fact that I rushed an upload of my receipt in a form of a pdf from tmobiles site to Samsung's promotion site Realizing that it was my old s7e receipt.... now it's processing and Samsung's customer service is backed up from flooded calls...i did not have the patience of waiting 2 hours, sad thing is I probably did because I fell asleep and woke up with that stupid ass song playing while they got me on hold through the speaker phone....looks like I won't get a free gear vr because of my stupidity.......yep pretty much? and yes I used shop app

I submitted the request via the website.
I have to provide further proof because the screenshot I posted from MyT-mobile was apparently missing the order date, which I now did. But I am happy to see that my request was reviewed within 14 hours of submission. Perhaps Samsung is putting serious resources into this review process.
I submitted two offers yesterday, and both were approved today. However it never gave me the opportunity to pay $99 for the extra stuff even though I picked that option... WTF
Mine was processed and approved, just waiting on shipping.
Oh. And before anyone asks...once you make your selection of what gift you want (the $99 bundle or the free Gear VR) you CANNOT and I repeat CANNOT change it. Choose wisely.

When you click view status, it takes you to another page that shows your status. It says registration approved. Basically the same thing as the email.

If you get on a computer and go to the promotions website, it shows as approved and preparing to ship. If you got the registration approved email and it says the same in the app, have no fear, your submission was approved and is being processed to ship.

I did on the Samsung website on Thursday and it has already shipped with an estimated delivery for Tuesday. I bought the $99 bundle.
Submitted the 19th , got approved the 20th, shipped the 21st, used the app to submit. If I check the app it still says under review. But the website it shows approved gift sent. I would check the website instead of the app.
Edit: it was for the free vr. Not the 99$ package.
Is there anyway I can receive the $99 bundle its crazy how fast it's sold out..

Getting My Gear VR Tomorrow, Who Else Got It?

Just got confirmation From UPS Saying my Gear VR Will be here tomorrow.... I Live in Canada did not get Confirmation Email..... Just seen many people worried they were not getting there's so i thought I would post to show that I got mine to Show that they Are sending them, seems about as fast as my Gear Fit 2 I got with my Note 7..... Shouldn't be more than 2 weeks for the rest of you Hopefullt. Have you Guys Got your Headset yet or still waiting?

Got a shipping email on 4/21 for the bundle, but it included the tracking number for my phone (which was already delivered at that point). Still haven't gotten the package, and have no way of tracking where it is. So emailed Samsung, expecting to hear back in 24 hours, but no response yet. Guess I'm going to have to rev up Netflix and chill on hold for an hour or so tomorrow...

Everybody seemed worried about not getting it right away..... when I got My Note 7 it came about a week or so after release day .... so when it showed online 6 to 8 weeks I didn't believe it and waited patiently but it seems everyone is complaining on not getting there's.... just wait and it will eventually come!

I'm not completely worried about not getting it, except for the fact that I continually see people who registered after me who keep getting tracking numbers and I haven't heard a peep. Unless they can block fedex or ups from showing me labels have been created, they haven't even made a label yet.
after the mess of people trying to pay for the $99 bundle (of which I paid AND the charges cleared...not pending...cleared) it's starting to get a little worrisome to see so many people ahead of me.
I don't care to wait, dont care if it takes 6 weeks, but somehow being way after others who registered after me is weird.
