So I was checking the status of my preorder because Sprint, like always, managed to screw something up and the girl at order support tells me that they will be receiving them on the 10th and then shipping them out afterward. Now, I know customer service reps do not know everything so you take it with a grain of salt BUT what is the point of having a pre-order if you are going to ship the devices and your customers will be receiving them after the launch date. Wouldn't it be better to just walk into one of their retail locations and purchase the phone that way?
Now, Like I said, I don't know if this is indeed true or if she just did not know what she was talking about but if the phone does go out later then the launch date, that is really ridiculous....

I know what the order status page states. I am just telling you what one of the order support reps told me over the phone. Sprint made a big mess on my account, which has to be corrected on the backend and I wanted to make sure it would not impact my pre-order. I called in and asked her if everything was still okay since the big screwup and she said it was and then went on to when they would actually be receiving the devices, etc. Like I stated in my previous post, she could have been wrong because phone reps usually do not see the big picture only the part of the picture that is available to them but just thought I would share just in case.
I hope she was just clueless & we'll get our Edges well before the 10th.
I remember there used to be a similar concern for the S4 preorder back in 2013. In the end, Sprint delivered the preorder 3 days ahead of launch date for me.

If you got your order in then you shouldn't have anything to worry about, inventory is probably at the warehouse already. Whoever you spoke with on the phone wouldn't have a clue as to what is at the various warehouses.

I got tracking number at 2pm and when I tracked it, it said early shipping for wednesday and that it was supposed to come Thursday. Its great.
I'll be getting mine tomorrow, coming from Kentucky

Check yours when you get home for scratches on the display. Mine should be delivered today also. Hoping that there is no display issues like with the others some people have gotten on the other two carriers that started shipping early.

Mine is scratch free, as far as I can tell. I used a multi-LED flash light. The sun test is the other test. There was a lot of garbage in the wrap thing though. Lots of trash, specs of stuff. Could have just been dust. I don't know.
The wrapping on mine had a load of crap under it. No wonder they're getting scratched up in transit. Look under the M.
My screen was perfect as well, no scratches at all. Beautiful phone.

I ordered mine Friday morning online. I choose standard shipping cause it said 4/18 delivery. Well today it's not here and I called UPS and they don't even have it yet.
So even if it was shipped out today it could be later this week. Wtf good is ordering something 5days early if they don't ship it out until day 4?

That's weird. I ordered mine late Friday night and will be here tomorrow. My tracking info has been available since this morning.
Mine just says they received the info but not picked up yet. They should have been picked up this morning at least. UPS usually makes two trips for packages. AM and PM.

Tmobile is saying that it is pre-order only and they won't ship until 4/20. Aside from making the supervisor go on to the website and verify that no where does it say pre-order. It says Web Exclusive. He said that there is an error and they aren't allowed to sell them until the 20th as per their agreement with LG.
I just cancelled my order. I'd rather walk into a store Wednesday morning and pick it up and be done with it.
The bad thing is I sold my N1 today and is expected to be shipped out tomorrow morning. So cheers to being screwed and having to go without a phone for a few days.

Just called t mobile and they say they shipped it out. Called ups and they say they never received it. Got tracking number and it says scheduled on 4/19. Guess I'm f:cked to.

I called and the girl was giving me a bunch of BS. She said I couldn't cancel it because it was already shipped... then turned around and said I didn't get it because it was a pre-order and wouldn't ship until the 20th.
I had to speak with a supervisor that said some were accidentally shipped early but their contract with LG states it won't be available until the 20th.

What time did yours update? Mine still hasn't.
I ordered mine through customer retention on Friday around noon, and I got express shipping. Once I got a tracking number later on in the day, it said that UPS was ready to ship it once T-Mobile sent it, and I also noticed that the shipping was changed to 2nd day air. It left Kentucky this morning, and according to the tracking it should be here tomorrow, which would be within the 2-3 business days. I they often upgrade the shipping for some reason? I've visited a couple t-mobiles to play with it in store, it's just made me want it more
So a few people have heard that the One X could be shipping as soon as AT&T has stock at warehouse. And others have said they were told they will get the phone on the 27th. Does anyone want to chime in on this? Any inside knowledge? Did anyone tell you this as well?

i ALMOST had the guy at the local store ready to sell it to me. He said they had some in the back and would go grab one. He had one white one and went to ring me up. The damn system wouldn't let me, then the manager came back from lunch and told him he can't sell it yet . ALMOST had one lol.
I'd love if it came early. I pre-ordered at AT&T, and I am supposed to get it the 4th. But I'm going to Florida on the night of the 3rd, so it would show up the next day and I wouldn't get it until I came back on the 6th. So. Fingers crossed that it shows up early!

Guy at my ATT thought one was in the back also... He came back with a confused look saying it wasn't there.
Some story as most... Friday the 4th it is supposed to arrive and they will call me to pick it up. They said when I see an email that says "shipped" thats actually the "its arrived" at the ATT location.

Mike call sustomer sevice and see whats up.You should get an email within an hour or 2 of preordering, but than again it looks like they're systems have been

I had to call the support hotline to make sure everything was ok with my order because I had an "attention" flag on one of the boxes and it had me concerned. After having my phone call to India dropped twice(the irony), I got a lady in Texas and she said it would ship as soon as it's done being reviewed, and I should see it Wednesday..
I'll go out on a limb and say that she had no idea that the phone is on pre-order otherweise that would be awesome.

I called customer service and was immediately greeted asking if I wanted to activate my upgrade. Hung up at that point. I'm assuming everything worked out fine and have a wrong email in the system. As long as I'm in the system for an upgrade, I'm happy.

Same thing happened to me. I found out that this happens when you have the device shipped to a different address than the billing address on your account.
Sounds about right, I'm shipping it to work because I won't be home to sign off on it.

Mike, when did you place your preorder?
I went to the AT&T store closest to work (Tysons Corner, VA) and the sales rep said the phone would be at the store on the 4th. Pre-orders only, 6th for regular sale.
An hour later I received an email that said, in part:
"Thank you for ordering from AT&T. Your device has been reserved and is expected to be delivered by May 4th, 2012. At AT&T, we promise to ship our products in the order in which requests are received*."
It's still possible that it'll be delayed but I've yet to see any indication of it.
Edit: The Tysons Corner store also has a One X (white) display model next to the entry. As far as I know this is the only local store with one at the moment.
This could just be a system error but look at shipping date. I placed my order at 12:30am the 22th.

I can't read it, too small
I am so pissed. Long story short. I ordered the s6 through Verizon, got the phone and it was great until the 10th day. I started having issues. So I told them and they said they'd send me out another. I told then I absolutely do not want a refurbished phone and they guaranteed me it would be a brand new one. Wtf do i get the next day? A refurbished piece of crap that had scratches all over when 3 different reps assured me they'd be sending me a new one. I called them back pissed.
So after hours of talking on the phone I get them to send me a brand new one that would come in the white box. They told me it would arrive on may 29th(which was 10 days away) because they were all on backorder waiting for the shipment from Samsung. So I've literally been calling every few days asking them what the update is and every time a diff rep just tells me that the order is placed and everything but it's still on backorder. This has happened 3+ times now.
It's been 3 weeks now and I just called again and told them this is it I've had enough and the guy tells me for some reason the order never processed because of some terms and conditions crap so he said he has to figure it out with his supervisor. I can't believe this seriously. Are the people at Verizon the dumbest individuals in the world or am I being toyed with here?

I tried that but all of the Verizon stores in my area were totally out of stock of the black s6 and they said they'd charge me to switch colors.

Multiple issues. I experienced, Bluetooth issues, got a few scratches on the phone and occasional messed up audio when on the phone. I got them to send me a new one. Should be here Thursday. Found out he order never went through cuz the stupid supervisor didn't approve the order.

I haven't been impressed with Verizon customer service, either. The first phone I got was never activated, and when I called to get it activated, the rep just redid my order and sent me another phone lol. I had to reject the 2nd phone, and I finally spoke to someone that knew what they were talking about.
It seems as though 1 out of every 3 reps know their stuff, the rest have no clue.
I'm still waiting for my $100 port in credit, and I know it won't be on my 3rd billing cycle, so I'll have to call them again :/
Never even talked to a rep. did everything online. Ordered phone on Friday, arrived Sat, activated without doing much other than turning the phone on (SIM card was already installed). I didn't port my number until I checked out the phone and ported the number on Monday morning, took about 20 min and about 1/2 hour after that to get the SMS texting working right.
No communication with a rep at anytime.
Sat night when I realized I already had the latest build (was waiting for an OTA), I rooted the device with PingPongroot. Had to do it twice but it stuck and was very easy. never connected the phone to the computer (yet).

This is literally the only way to do it. Companies like VZ and Comcast intentionally provide sucky service so that you just give up because who wants to spend hours on the phone explaining your problem to people who are intentionally making it harder for you?

It looks like they delayed you just to be outside of the 14 day window. Anything outside that 14 day return policy can be replaced with a certified like new device. Is the home button that bad that you couldn't see living with it? Would a stiff home button eventually became loose also?

I exchanged one due to a very loose home button. It didn't register presses half the time and rattled bad. They are out there, the lemon s6s. They are far between but they do exist sadly

Yeah, pretty lame. I'm keeping the new gold one because the screen is much better. The home button doesn't rattle as much now. It's barely noticeable so I'm okay with it.

The confusing part is that if you go to the main samsung.com.au site it is advertising that if you order now, you will receive the device by April 21st...

So far from my preorder experience, I used to get on the specified date. If we getting on 24th, what's the point in preordering? I think we will be getting on 21st onwards. Else, I will drop by JBHIFI or someone and get the phone on hand on 21st.
The site clearly says that you will start getting from 21st April.

UPDATE: Just got off the phone with Samsung Australia, spoke to 2 reps, including a Supervisor; apparently we were advised during the pre-ordering process that the GearVR would not arrive until 28 days (or longer) after the phone arrived....
Don't know about you guys, but I was not advised, in fact, I have email receipts and print screens stating that the gearvr ship on the 21st!?

Same here. But I don't work about Gear VR at all. Its a useless device. I got one with my S7 which I used for 30mins and never used it again. You cannot use it continuously as it creates fog inside on continuous usage.

Lol, works fine here, that fog goes away after about 10 mins, anoying i know. Also you can just use an antifog spray, just the generic stuff they use for prescription lenses.

Which is basically what I had mentioned a few days ago from my conversation with a Samsung CSR.
The bigger question is, why send it on a Friday and just have it sitting at Auspost over the weekend... That is just cruel. The ideal scenario is to have it on a Friday and have the whole weekend to play with the new toy.

The bigger question is, why send it on a Friday and just have it sitting at Auspost over the weekend... That is just cruel. The ideal scenario is to have it on a Friday and have the whole weekend to play with the new toy.

Sounds like the have logistics issues.... they really need to get their priorities straight.
Beside alll that, having that much $$$$ just sitting somewhere for 2 days when it could have been avoided by sending it 2 days earlier is just a stupid thing to do, it creates an unecassary peril to the device that otherwise could have easily been avoided. Insurance policy would typicicaly.....

Truth is im not all the excited to get it on time or early for a few reasons;
The vr doesnt arrive with the phone and I need both the gear vr and the phone to effectivly evalute if the display is free of defects so the more time it takes to reach me, the better. Was hoping I be able to do this within that 14 day change your mind policy... What a ...
Also, i'm not going to be truly excited about this phone until TWRP is up and running on it and hopefully at most were a month away from that arriving...
Lastly, it seems like in the last 10 years things have progressively gotten a whole lot worse in the QA for all manufactures, it seems these days you don't get a device your happy with until you have fought with the CSR reps and exchanged the units a few times, etc.. I actually dislike purchasing new gadgets with displays for this reason, it's a royal pain in the arse!!
I just couldn't pass up that damn vr promo! Here's to hopefully being excited about S8+ a month from now when the dust settles

They have been silent except the promise arrive by 20th date. I assume they are shipping Fedex and not UPS. I have notification set up on both UPS and Fedex just in case. I have zero results of a label having been created and no movement from the order status screen. Please list any correspondence that you all have had with Samsung. It does not matter what carrier is chosen just the ones that are being sent direct from Samsung for those that have ordered from their site.

I ordered on 04/03. If it is delayed, I learned my lesson and will not order direct again just to get the extras quicker. Samsung is really pitiful if they mess this up. Im so jealous of the people who were smart enough to order straight from TMO
I ordered the Verizon variant and two cases on the 6th. I received tracking info for the cases Mon night, but the phone still says "preordered" on Samsung's site.

That did it for me. Switching to desktop left me with the same "pre-ordered" status. At least now I know it should hopefully be shipping​ any moment now.

Mine delivered today, got charged late last night. Phone's charging as I type this up.
Anybody try tracking via FedEx? As long as you ordered from Samsung.com you can track by reference and use your order# followed by a "-01" and make sure to choose the destination country and destination zip code. Worked for me, was able to figure that out once I received my tracking info from FedEx and I tried it to see if it would help any others. Give it a shot if you haven't received anything yet.
Well I spoke with them and they said they are trying to ship the bundle together and then slipped up saying 6-8weeks for the bundle but trying to ship together or right after they ship phone. She also said 3 days max for preparing then shipped out no later than 3 days time of order
