Has anyone flashed this rom yet and if yes do ya have any feedback for the rest of us
Sent from my LG-D850 using Tapatalk

Ive installed and been using this ROM. Pretty smooth so far
Have created a telegram group to discuss the features and future improvements in this ROM. Please feel free to join
https://t.me/joinchat/AAAAAAybqlHeCOdDa7TThw

I couldn't find the CRT screen off/on option. Where is it?

new build is up.

new build is up.

whats in the new build, any changelogs please?

I can't make a new post in the troubleshooting and help section in XDA so I'm hoping someone can help me out.
I am stuck on a rom and have no root, recovery or Sim.
I flashed a rom last week being a 7.1 rom and without thinking, I used Aroma Installer and I ended up losing root, recovery and my phone isn't reading my sim. I've tried using Kingroot as well as Kingoroot but to no avail. So pretty much my phone can only be used as a wifi device.
I have tried using ADB and Fastboot, both will respond to commands, but won't read my device....I do have the latest driver's installed...But when I connect my phone to the computer I get a notification telling me that the drivers weren't installed properly..And when I go into device manager I see that the device is there but with an exclamation mark with it...Now what doesn't make sense is the fact that it can read the internal storage and DCIM on the phone (D850) but I can't get it recognize Fastboot or ADB.. even when I tried a couple of root programs it still didn't even read my phone. Am I not doing something wrong? Now it's not my computer, it's my wife's and I don't want to install things and mess with her system settings just to get my phone to read right hopefully someone can point me in the right direction, I hope I can get Fastboot somehow working and possibly just flash the D850 radio.img so I have cell service again.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
I have tried stump root, which won't work because I'm on a 7.1 rom and not completely stock.
My phone works fine, except I don't have data nor root or twrp, so flashing back to my last backup won't work...
I would really like to get my radio back..If I can somehow flash that in some sort of way I would be happy with that and I can figure the other things later. I just need a working phone so I can call and text. Is there a way I can copy and paste a radio image into a system directory without root?
If so, which directory would I need to paste it to?

Download your stock TOT or KDZ rom download LG flash tools and try to restore your phone! If that will not work this method will BUT follow instructions to a T and be careful I use this method on phones that have the anti roll back so can downgrade to root
https://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-lg-g3/general/guide-fix-hard-brick-recovery-guide-t3132359

The computer won't read my device in download mode...But it reads ADB with the phone turned on and on the home screen. .

try installing twrp with the official twrp app from playstore and if it works try to flash super user thru twrp might help but cant hurt or try stump root
1. Go Here
2. Download and install Stump root
3. Run Stump root - you are now rooted
4. Go to playstore and downlaod SuperSU
5. Install Super SU
6. Uninstall Stump Root
You now have root!!
To check,
Download root checker from play store and check for root
twrp with the official twrp app from playstore and if it works try to flash super user thru twrp might help but cant hurt

I've tried Kingoroot, and Kingoot...To no avail I'm stuck on Cosmos Os. Is there any way I can install SuperSu through ADB? Now remember ADB nor fastboot work through download mode...The computer doesn't see it.

Stump root doesn't work...I can't install super su thru twrp app..I'm not rooted.

Where can I get the KDZ Rom for beanstalk 7? Or can I just pull my TWRP backup from my phone and just restore it that way? Will I need to create a zip for that, I'm not sure how the backup is configured...I have looked at the folder that my backup is in...But when I open it up there's multiple files in it...Including user data recovery and whatnot. Now if I have to make a zip for the restore how do I do it?
And lastly, will I have to have download mode working? As I can't get it to work while I am in download mode, I can send commands in ADB like rebooting bootloader, but when I go into fastboot and trying to send commands, it says waiting for device. I'm lost with this thing...I should have just flashed the micro open gapps and been done with it.
I'm hoping you can help me out, maybe there's a way around this without pulling my phone apart to do this.

How can I get a working lg flashtool...Everytime I've used that thing..It opens with something about a username and password...It won't open straight into the tool.
Can you provide me with a working file? Or at least direct me to a site with a working file without the username and password version? Will download mode have to work? The computer doesn't see the device when it's in dl mode...It tells me after trying to install the drivers that they weren't downloaded properly.

Ok sounds good, the wife and I are going out to see a movie, if you can, can you just PM me directly? And when I get home I will see your message. Thank you man!

as this thread is clearly more useful as a troubleshooting section and there's little interest in the rom, i'm going to switch maybe monthly builds on this. we'll see how it goes.

[ROOT] With towelroot!

Hey Guys. So Some of you may know towelroot was just released by Geohot. I went ahead and tried it on my G2 runing stock 4.4.2 and it WORKED! I ran root checker after running the apk and it said I have full root level access. You just have to download SuperSu from market afterwards. I downloaded root explorer and was prompted with the prompt to grant root and all was well!
Link to original post: http://tinyurl.com/pykqkpt
1. Go to http://towelroot.com/
2. tap the logo for apk
3. Run the apk and follow directions within
4. After phone reboots, Install SuperSu
ALL DONE!
A side note, I haven't tried using rom manager to install custom recovery as I'm not sure if we've found a button code. If someone is willing to help me with that Id be grateful. I can't afford to brick this phone as it's my only phone work work and play.
AWESOME.
Can anyone else confirm this before we try? any bugs?
And how do I go about installing TWRP recovery (or any other suitable recovery)
All is working fine, flash twrp recovery with autorec app by cloudy.
As a side note, please donate to Dev if you can. I know i did.

It worked for me, but can we install custom roms now since we can use autorec to install twrp?
This was already posted in the top level apps section for lg g2
I tried to install recovery with an app called RecoverX, it claimed to do its job but I can't get the device to reboot to recovery. Tried holding the power/volume down like they say but it didnt work.

When I see they said it would root a S5 on VZW I was pretty hopeful. I knew this was coming real soon. But I went ahead and did it the hard way anyway.

Just to clarify, you've managed to install TWRP on your G2 and boot it into recovery with autorec? Just want to make sure before I try.
Never used autorec so if you've got a guide to link to that'd be great.

too late I used a autorec and actually got the phone to TWRP. I then proceeded (stupidly) erasing everything and wiping the device because I thought I'd be able to mount it and copy the CyanogenMod file I wanted.
Boy was I wrong.. TWRP did not allow me to mount the device to USB. And for some reason I couldn't get the right driver to install in Device Manager.
At one point I decided it would be a good idea to restart, now I'm stuck at boot loop and I can't get back into TWRP. I tried holding power+down, that forces it to restart a bunch of times. I held the UP button but that puts it into FIRMWARE UPATE mode which also doesn't allow ADB
How do I get back to TWRP? how do I flash Cyanogen mod through ADB
Any ideas please?

Hold vol down + power button until screen flashes black followed by lg screen release buttons and quickly press both again and hold. It will boot you to a white screen asking you if you want to fully factory restore...press power to agree... Since twrp replaced factory recovery it will not wipe but instead take you into twrp...takes a couple tries sometimes... You need cm and gapps packages on your internal memory to flash through twrp
If you wiped everything you will have to start over by flashing the original firmware again. It happened to me too because I didn't have the ROM I was flashing on my device already. I used this guide, http://youtu.be/Lg693AYgoTo, to flash back to stock JB, then upgrade again. Just be sure the rom is you want to flash is on your phone since USB won't work. It's no guarantee though, esp. since there is that driver error.

What are you trying to accomplish connecting to computer?
Nevermind I forgot you can choose files from computer when connected...but yeah...may need full restore...there are a few step by step threads on here to do so
Same problem I encountered, so I just figured USB is a no go and had to do the firmware update and then start over with ROM and GAPPS on device next time.Hope you get it...it sucks with all the excitement and all the time us G2 owners had to wait!
Ugh. This sucks. this file is taking forever to download for some reason and I'm in no mood to start dealing with this ****.
I'm just going to take it to the T-Mobile store tomorrow.
It's rooted and they will check it with their diagnostic tool and tell you sorry. Just firmware update it to lose root first. Use this...easy...http://youtu.be/Lg693AYgoTo

Warning

Tested Safely on following devices.
Samsung Galaxy J3 (SM-J320P)
Why use TWRP ? Why not just use some rooted firmware which keeps my warranty safe?
TWRP is a custom recovery. Thus, it has many more features than stock recovery, such as making full NAND backups, flashing zips through recovery, ADB sideload, and more! Plus, if something goes wrong while flashing something, you can always restore from a backup using TWRP, meaning you're much safer when flashing new ROM's, etc!

Instructions
Follow the instructions carefully.
DOWNLOAD LINKS ARE UNDER THE "WITH PC" INSTRUCTIONS. A SEPARATE DOWNLOAD LINK IS PROVIDED UNDER "WITHOUT PC" FOR THE .IMG FILE YOU NEED FOR THOSE INSTRUCTIONS
WITH PC:
Step 1 :
Install Samsung Drivers and connect your device to PC. Let it install the drivers and any updates that may be required. The device drivers should install without failure.
Link to Samsung Drivers
Step 2 :
Download Odin 3 you can use 3.07 or 3.09
You can download Odin from here
Download the TWRP Recovery ---- Google Drive Mirror for TWRP
(DISCLAIMER: I HAVE NOT USED GOOGLE DRIVE EXTENSIVELY FOR FILE SHARING, SO THERE MAY ALSO BE A BANDWIDTH/DOWNLOAD NUMBER LIMIT PER DAY, SO IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO USE EITHER LINK, TRY AGAIN THE NEXT DAY FOR THE TIME BEING UNTIL WE DECIDE ON A BETTER FILE HOSTING SERVICE.)
Step 3:
Power down your device, then when turning it on hold [ Vol down + power + home button (all at the same time) ] in order to boot the phone into Odin mode. Release it when you see the warning about entering "Download Mode".
Press vol up to confirm
Step 4:
Now that you are in Odin Mode, connect your device via USB cable.
Now open Odin 3.09 or 3.07 that you have downloaded.
If there is a pop-up regarding Installing ADB drivers let it finish, it usually updates.
Make sure the COM : xx (xx is usb port number it can be any number so don’t worry about it, just verify COM is lit up)
Now select AP and browse to where you have .tar file and select it
Make Sure only Default Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time is ticked and nothing else. Very important! Double check that only these are ticked.
Untick Auto Reboot if you are installing recovery for first time!
Click Start and wait for the process to end. DO NOT Interrupt during this time.
Once it says PASS. BOOT INTO RECOVERY USING VOL UP + HOME + POWER BUTTON.
Done.
OR
WITHOUT PC:
Instructions:
1. Make sure you have temp root available (Yes, this means likely using Kingroot one more time).
2. Download the recovery.img file (essentially what is in the Odin flashable .tar file) from here. Make sure you are aware of it's download path to find it with Flashify.
3. Download Flashify from the Play Store.
4. Open Flashify, grant root access, and click Recovery Image. Navigate to where you downloaded the .img file and select it.
5. A dialog should pop up asking if you want to continue with flashing the recovery. Click "Yup!" and wait for it to finish. Afterwards if it doesn't ask you to reboot, do so yourself into recovery (Vol-UP+Home+Power in case you forgot). If things went right, you should boot into TWRP smoothly!
A few helpful things for the "just in case" moments(most of these require a PC with Odin, unfortunately):
* Stock Recovery Odin flashable .tar
* Stock Boot Odin flashable .tar
* Both of the above are flashed the same as the instructions above detail flashing TWRP. Use either depending on what you've flashed/messed up, or flash both if you aren't sure. These are NOT a replacement for flashing full stock firmware through Odin in case of a thorough brick (I.E. combinations of boot/recovery/system/etc being corrupted together). Use these when you're flashing TWRP or the root zip, as it's faster and you shouldn't need to flash full firmware if you didn't brick your device in some other way.
* Raw kernel source for anyone wanting to start their own project for this device.

*** IMPORTANT UPDATE: WE HAVE SOLVED THE ROOT PROBLEM ***
We have a working permanent root solution available for testing by anyone who would like to give it a try and get back to me with your results. So far on my device root has persisted through several reboots. Make sure you pay attention to the instructions when you flash it, and you should be good to go! We're working on it, currently flashing supersu through TWRP still causes a bootloop similar to when using super sume to get rid of kingroot. More work is going to be done on it tomorrow, and hopefully we will solve the issue with either custom kernel, or he was maybe porting CM13 to here and thatd fix it straight away.
In short dont let twrp flash supersu just yet. And have odin backups just in case. Might see if we can link to the stock files later.
Ok sousnds good

Glad to do it! It actually got me to stop being lazy and clean up the thread in general, plus I want to make this available to as many people as possible, since this is the FIRST real progress on this device, I want everyone to hear about it! Too many owners of this device have probably given up hope on root solutions so far, which is just tragic for what is a genuinely good device.

Glad to hear it! We're working hard to finish things up, once we get custom ROM working things will be so much easier with this device!
Hey! So I followed the instructions for hooking it up with no pc. But after I typed reboot recovery it rebooted to the J3 logo and then to a black page with a big yellow triangle sign that had "!" in it and on the top it said something like: custom binary has been blocked by FRC. so I flashed the stock rom back into it (had to go to someone's house to use their pc). Didn't lose any data though after it recovered everything was still there on my phone.

That's odd, we didn't run into that on my device, but I was using a pc and Odin, though there shouldn't be any difference. Would you be able to borrow that person's PC again to try to flash it with the .tar file through Odin? AL is asleep atm but I'll direct them to this post when they wake up.

Eek, that doesn't sound fun! Alright, keep me posted as to your success with doing it through Odin if you are able to. Hopefully in a few hours AL will be up and I can mention it to them.
Awesome thanks I'm sure it will work itself out. Could be that I did something wrong while using the console although I'm not totally sure
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm this is so weird. I tried the PC method with odin and on my phone screen where it says in the small text what Odin is doing, I'm still seeing "Blocked by FRC". weird. I might have to do a factory reset and then try again or something. what does FRC mean?

Ok! I figured it out. Turned on OEM unblocking flashed it and it worked. But I accidentally forgot to untick auto reboot (whoops!). It booted up fine but now I am worried. What happens if you forget to untick that?

Good to hear! I dont think its absolutely necessary to untick that, I didnt when I first flashed it through Odin, just reboot into recovery to make sure that it worked (Turn phone off, then turn it back on holding power + vol up + home) and you should boot into TWRP if it worked correctly.

Thanks so much for doing this!
Before I jump in, I want to make sure I have the proper firmware to restore the unit via Odin, just in case. I was able to download the file "J320PVPU1AOL2_J320PSPT1AOL2_SPR.zip" from a source (with a MD5 value of 008D7C9916FCAF885C811ABC3E55F01A), which when unzipped shows: "J320PVPU1AOL2_J320PSPT1AOL2_J320PVPU1AOL2_HOME.tar.md5" (with a MD5 value of 2C92F5AED197619F6AE8A86DBCB76B8E). Is this the correct firmware to restore a Virgin Mobile Galaxy J3 (SM-J320P)?
If this is not the proper firmware to restore this phone with Odin, can you please indicate where I might download it?

Microphone issue with Oneplus one

I have a oneplus one that I just returned to stock using the method in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/onep...stock-t2826541
Problem is that at some point, while it was rooted, I used this method to make my phone microphone work (changing the build.prop file): https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/f...-issue.284449/
If I had remembered that I'd done that, I might have just left the phone alone. So, now that I'm back to stock and unrooted, my microphone doesn't work and I can't use the above method to make it so. Is there a solution out there I can use without going back to root?
My exact problem with the mic is that when I talk into the phone, the person on the other end can't hear me but I can hear myself (echo) in my earpiece. I can hear the person on the other end fine. If I switch to speaker phone I still have the same issue. Any help would be appreciated.
You'll need to go root again. Lucky this isn't too hard especially if you maintained a custom recovery. If not, then you will have to use adb. Or bacon root toolkit (the easy way).

Not really what I wanted to hear, but I guess I gotta do what I gotta do. How can I tell if I maintained a custom recovery or not? I don't think I did.
And can I root without installing a custom recovery or custom rom? All the guides I've found so far talk about all these steps and unlocking the bootloader.

You can use KingRoot to root without custom recovery. After changing the values you can then unroot it to get future OTA updates

I got Cyanogen Recovery. Options are "reboot system now", "Apply update", "factory reset", and "advanced".
So I used the baconroot toolkit to unlock the bootloader. Then rooted it with a custom recovery. My phone is now stuck in the bootloop. I can boot into TWRP, which I know is a good thing. Just not sure what to do next now to fix it. I'm doing some searching on the forums, but if someone can point me in the right direction, it would be appreciated.

Recovering from this will require fastboot magic. The bacon root toolkit should've already gotten your drivers all setup. Now search the web for how to push and install files from your computer in fastboot mode.

Clean install of my ROM from TWRP is good because I failed to mention that I can't get into fastboot mode. The ROM I had was the factory image from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/general/guide-return-opo-to-100-stock-t2826541

Yes and no. Turns out I was actually able to boot my phone into fastboot mode. So I did that, used the baconroot toolkit option of "flash stock + unroot" and I was back to the start. My device now has an unlocked bootloader, but I think I have issues with the tamper bit. When I get my device info the "Device tampered" is set to "false" and the "device unlocked" is set to "true". I know they should both be true, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to use the zip file to change the tamper bit. I did it before, but I'm just not figuring it out this time. I hate doing this stuff.
I think once the tamper bit is correct I should be able to go back to baconroot to root and reinstall the custom recovery.
Update: I finally figured this out, now rooting with bacon root, hoping it works.
I'm all set, now to make the adjustments so my microphone works. Thanks to everyone that helped!
So, I forgot that one of the reasons I unrooted was because I couldn't update and I was tired of getting notices that there was an update and not being able to execute it.
So I now have cyanogen OS version 12.1 and I have a notice for an incremental update. I made sure that "update cm recovery" was unchecked so that I didn't lose root, hit the update button and I got the error message "error executing updater binary in zip '@/cache/recovery/block.map' "
From what I could find it looks like I need to download and flash the update rather than using the OTA updates. Is that correct? Can I update to 13 or 14 or are there issues with those roms? where do I go to get these downloads? when I flash updates does it wipe my phone? will I have to reinstall all my apps and settings?
I really dislike doing this stuff. I can do it, but I hate it. any very clear step by step instructions would be GREATLY appreciated.

So sounds like you just wiped everything and your phone is back to stock now, but I'm getting the impression you still have a custom recovery or modified system partition and the OTA updates don't like that. So yes, you'll need to flash updates in your recovery. It's not as bad as it sounds.
And about Android versions available to you, the stock COS (which might actually say "CM..." when you check your Android version in "about phone" in settings - confusing, I know) can normally receive the OTA updates (except in the cases mentioned above) or you can get the official updates online in zip form and flash them yourself (even with the stock recovery -which I'm pretty sure you have still, unless one of your methods to fix the phone installed a custom one like TWRP or CWM). The other ROM/OS options you have are about as plentiful as the stars in the heavens (since android is open source). I personally like to stick with CM especially since they do what they do very well and they have a particular interest in there OnePlus One. They just released CM 14 nightlies (which basically means it's the latest version of the OS, bugs and all, built every day). Though, to be honest, this CM 14 nightly is ridiculously stable for a freshly released nightly. At this point, though, cyanogen hasn't implemented a fair number of their customizations that are in their previous versions. So if you want the best complete CM experience right now, go with CM 13.
And to answer your question, updates like the ones that are OTA, don't wipe your data or storage. However, if you switch from COS to CM, you'll have to clean install and that will lose your data at the least (your internal storage can usually be kept between ROMs if you've got a custom recovery).
Sorry, in throwing a lot at you right now. Probably just created more questions than answers...
Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
Thanks for your help and the explanations. When you talk about COS vs. CM is that Cyanogen OS vs. Cyanogen Mod?
I was able to root and I have TWRP installed. In about phone it says "Cyanogen OS version" is "12.1-yog4pas1n0". That's the Cyanogen OS correct?
Where do I go to download the update for 13 (whatever matches what I already have) and is there a guide for doing that? I'm reading about updating to 13 and everything I see (so far) states that the update has to happen with stock recovery. Is there an option to run the update with TWRP?
Wait a minute... If I unroot but keep the bootloader unlocked then it won't wipe my phone and I'll be able to take the ota updates right? What about the change I made to the build.prop file for my phones microphone? Will that get wiped if I unroot? That's the big question.
Nevermind about unrooting. After some searches it seems that a full unroot would require a rest which would delete the mod I made for the microphone. I found that supersu can "unroot", but it's not actually a fill unroot which means that I still probably wouldn't be able to do the ota updates.
Maybe I need to gain a better understanding of your original problem... But I think that there are plenty of ROMs out there that have addressed microphone issues with the OnePlus One (I think a lot of the problems come from it having 2 noise cancelling mics). Not 100% sure if cyanogen ever implemented a fix for the mic in later updates - probably a good thing to look into. Otherwise, look into alternative ROMs. I personally don't have issues with the latest CyanogenMod nightlies, but it almost seems like there are differences between OnePlus ones (inconsistency in the manufacturing process, perhaps).
Oh, and yes when I say COS and CM, they are cyanogen OS and CyanogenMod, respectively.
Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
---------- Post added at 01:34 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:33 PM ----------
And if you don't want to use something potentially as unstable as a nightly, CyanogenMod also has snapshots that are more like monthly, stable versions.

I'm pretty sure my problem is related to the 2 noise cancelling mics issue. It works great with the build.prop changes. Once I get an update installed on my phone I'll have to see how the microphone works.
So if I want to go to cyanogenmod 13, I would have to wipe my device and install that OS. When I do a backup in twrp, can I restore that backup (i.e., all my apps & settings) once the new os is installed? Or does that option restore the old OS?

A backup in TWRP (or nandroid backup) is like a perfect picture of what you phone was running just before you booted it into recovery. So when you restore one of them, it is like the phone steps back in time to when you made the backup, restoring the system (read: OS), data (read: apps), and cache.
In other words, you do a backup so that you always have something you can restore if you break your phone/have boot loops or what have you when flashing new ROMs.
If you go from COS to CM, it will require a clean install which means you will need to setup your phone the way you like it again. That being said, there is an app called Titanium backup that doesn't work the same as a nandroid, but can backup your apps and data and is capable of restoring them from one ROM to the next. It's not always perfect, but it can do a lot.
I personally have just chosen to embrace the chance of needing to start fresh every once in a while. I use Nova launcher and I have a Kustom LWP, both of which I made backups of in their respective app settings. I save those backups and whatever else I want to internal storage and I just don't wipe that partition in TWRP. To be safe, I also keep backups in the cloud. Everything else I just download again from the play store and setup the way I like.
Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
Well, its looking more and more like I might go to cm. Once I do that will I still have to wipe my phone to flash updates? Or will I still have to do that for updates every once in a while?

Just to be clear: by dumping userdata all my userdata and all apps are dumped as well? So my bought apps are in the file as well as all my logins, personal data, pics, music, ...?
If this is the case I'd rather don't like to share them and I don't want to reset my phone, if there is another one with the latest ROM and haven't installed his stuff till now.
Btw: system is round about 3 GB.
Edit: finished dumping, userdata couldn't be dummped, it stopped at 32 GB

I have found a com.adups.fota folder in file manager and this is apparently spyware?

I can't get titanium backup working with root :/
??!! Me yes are you sure it's rooted?
Sorry a mistype... I can't get it working without root. I have yet to try this tutorial, was waiting to find the latest rom!
has anyone found the latest stock rom yet?
My phone got the version mars_pro_20170705222633 and it seems to be the latest. It says that my system is up to date.
Can't get the phone rooted with the tutorial above, just once it downloaded from phone and progress bar changed to yellow. Afterwards by trying step 3 no TWRP came up with booting into recovery, just the plain lying android figure saying "no command" or something like that.

After the sp flash tool finishes UNPLUG and TURN your PHONE OFF.
Then make sure it's OFF.
Now PLUG IT to your usb.
Then OPEN the ROOT FILE.
That's it!
Then reboot!
if you can find a way to extract your latest ROM and upload it here so we can all update to the latest firmware!
Came with that version out of the box.
Will try to root tomorrow again, although I did these steps. But now it simply downloads and exit with an error.

ok let us know.
Also try to extract the rom and upload it here first
I'd like to upload the ROM, unfortunatly MTK Droid Tool doesn't recognize my phone, although Windows does.
Tried to change the UDB connections as well, no success.
