STEP 1; Make sure you install the S8 launcher
STEP 2: Instal bixby app
STEP 3: Install AOD.
Read detailed step below:
Steps to install the launcher
1. Download the apk below
2. Clear Stock launcher "Touchwiz Home" data and cache from settings.
3. Install apk
4. If launcher crashes, clear data and cache again.
5. Press Home button it should work.
For Bixby after getting S8 Launcher
1. Install Bixby apk.
2. Go to s8 launcher setting by long pressing on home screen.
3. Activate Bixby.
4. Reboot.
5. Swipe left for Bixby.
To install AOD
1. Download apk
2. Disable AOD and clear it's data
3. Install apk
4. If phone hangs let it sit for a while. Aod will crash couple of times. Clear data again.
5. Go to setting AOD and configure again.

Nothing. It vibrates for a sec, but nothing happens.

I have it installed and and testing it out now. I will reply back with results. It is going to be different on the Galaxy S7 versus the Galaxy S8. Because the Galaxy S8 has a dedicated button for Bixby. The S7 doesnt

This was originally found this on the galaxy S3 4.2.2 leak. It will work on all sammy 4.2.2 roms I assume (9505 and 9500).
1. Use a custom shortcut app from Play or Apex/Nova launcher.
2. Make shortcut from:
Activities>Settings>Torch light
3. Click on shortcut to select.
4. Enjoy!!

Nope works repeatedly for me without switching screen on again. Volume down switches it off. Did you set the timeout?

Yes...timeout is set to 15 sec.
For me it doesn't work so properly,but i can live with it i think

Very cool, at first I didn't understand what this did. Should be made clear that this works only when phone screen is off, also works with a phone that has a PIN.

Yeah but widget is not so convenient, ugly and takes up a lot of space (stock one).
Came across this earlier today. I installed on PA 4.3 but it crashes when i make a call. Maybe someone else will have better than i have.

If you read the thread in the link it says that the dialer icon will disappear. There is a workaround in there as well. I presume making a shortcut on the homescreen . . .
I installed on Xdabebbs ROM and can't seem to get it working either...do I need to freeze the LG Dialer?
My phone icon didn't disappear. It is the same as first. The Google dialer doesn't show up in the apps folder

Works on my cloudystock. All you got to do is to do it manually by copying the app in your /system/priv-app directory. Set the permission to 644 (rw-r-r) and restart. Then you got to do like what 60nine said in previous post using nova launcher (don't know about other launchers though) to make it appear in your home screen.
The calling screen still uses the stock LG dialer so i guess you can't disable the stock dialer.

funny thing i did that the 1st time and it didnt work, tried it again and also cleared cache and dalvik and its working perfectly

1) Scroll down for Google Dialer app and click on it. Check the box and click on Show/Hide icon(s) button.
2) The icon of the google dialer will appear in stock launcher or 3rd party launchers and you can add shortcut to lockscreen too.

Just found a way to enjoy all themes with stock icon's, and no root needed!
A lot of themes are almost perfect and missing 1 thing, stock icon's!
All you need is this Galaxy care app.

1. Open the app and swipe 2 times to the left and select details.
2. Now select the themes ( all ending with appicon ) and delete them.

Also it doesn't matter uninstall app with Galaxy Care, any other uninstaller worked. I user apps menu in FX File Explorer.

If anyone is interested, you can install Bixby on your S7 running nougat. Someone posed it on apk mirror this morning. I just installed it on my Sprint s7 edge. Seems to work.

Same but rooted with magisk on ambassadii rom. I already put it on sytem/priv-app. But doesn't work. It's necessary to rename it and put it on a named folded?
I already had this issue it touchwiz, but i just changed the name of apk and place it on touchwiz folder. Since ther's no bixby folder, what can we do?

I cant start it
My unit is stock with nougat. I installed the Touchwiz 6.0 home yesterday, and simply installed the Hello Bixby app on top. Some users have said you need to clear your app data for the new touchwiz to work. This may apply here too.
As for accessing it, the only way I've found is by swiping left of the home screen (a la Google Now) in the Touchwiz launcher.
I have a feeling this will be the extent of it''s uses on our device, but I'll report back later otherwise.

I did, G935F to be precise. And it works like a charm
I make setup process after a while it force closes while scrolling
