Use search option.. lock bootloader z5
Short answer is NO. If you have TA backup just restore and flash FTF, it will be same as stock..

Flash newest .ftf and install stock patched kernel, and there you go, stock rooted rom
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z5/general/ftf-e6603-33-53-83-google-drive-patched-t3581463
You can skip all wipes from flashtool, and before flashing ftf boot into twrp and wipe > advanced wipe > system, data, cache and dalvik cache.

Thanks will try...

You can relock your bootloader if you have TA partition backed up. First you have to downgrade your firmware to 32.0.A and use ivoryroot to restore your TA. You need to manually check if it has been successfully relocked. Then just flash the latest firmware. Make sure to erase all user data to avoid any problems like heat issue and others. Good luck!

whether or not you re-instate TA partitions
you can still LOCK your bootloader via FlashTool
however this time it wont be password protected and you can simply unlock it again via flastool it self

Hello
You will everytime end in bootloop because (so do you write it) your bootloader is locked.
PROCEDURE:
1. Go to the website: http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/
2. Follow the instructions and unlock your bootloader and then you will be able to root your phone permanent and even ROMs will work
Cheers

ROOT is working then until the phone isnt power off......on powering on again ROOT is gone.
ROMs wont work because you need a CWM (cstom recovery) but for this bootloader needs to be unlocked (but this woids warranty)
I have unlocked the bootloader on my sisters live with walkman and truely spoken warranty dont help a lot here in our country because they always figure something out ( the: you must pay bla bla bla....you know what I mean) so nobody cares about it

If you done it correctly it should be unlocked because....when you unlocked its unlocked no need to check
Have you done everything correctly?
I mean like wipe data\factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache and so on?
Hmmm its strange.......I didnt had any problems with a custom rom when i unlocked the bootloader
Maybe:
- You flashed another kernel,
- Did the procedure not right.
If nothing helps I would download stock .ftf (firmware) flash it with flashtool and give it first a run
P.S: Flashing .ftf will bootloader leave unlocked

Yes this is the thread I followed to the word..
I'll have to download the stock ftf? :\
I just read it somewhere that flashing a cwm recovery and wiping caches will remove the bootloop.. isnt that a better route to go through?

[TUTORIAL] [Noob-Friendly] How to Flash CM12 from Stock ROM

This is my first tutorial so please tell me if I missed anything This thread will teach some noobs here who are on stock 4.1.2/4.2.2 and want to flash latest roms like cm12/cm11/Euphoria Os and etc. This tutorial is self-tested by me!
______________________________________________________________________________
1) Firstly, you should unlock the bootloader. To do this go to this thread> http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/general/tutorial-bootloader-unlocking-relocking-t2332900 (after flashing you may get a bootloop so flash stock ftf to recover > http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/general/xperia-l-how-to-flash-tool-unlocking-t2337955 http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/general/sony-xperia-l-flashable-ftfs-locked-t2560642
2)You should install a recovery > http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/orig-development/cwm-recovery-installer-t2589320 for this you need root > http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/general/rootkit-xperia-l-15-3-1-17-1-click-root-t2591290 Backup your stock rom(optional) and TA(if the phone gets damaged during warranty) and copy rom zip file to sd card http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/orig-development/4-4-3-aospa-legacy-4-4-beta1-t2571273
3) In recovery Wipe cache/dalvic/art cache> Factory data reset> clean to install a new rom
4) Flash the rom and Gapps for specific rom(may not be included so google (the version of android gapps) and flash it after rom. Edit: Flashing kk is not necessary.
5) Reboot and wait for some time... Instalation takes some time... :good:
___________________________________________________________________________
6)(BONUS) If you want a good recovery like philz/twrp > http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/themes-apps/beta-fota-cwm-one-klick-t3068084 just install an app and click install philz. The app that installs a recovery is unique. It won't be overriden by another rom's recovery and u won't have to flash tz boot.img again and again... Thumbs up if you liked my tutorial :good: I do appreciate it! And of course, if you need any help just comment here or add me on facebook.
I'm here to help you guys!

You should add backup of TA before unlocking bootloader (in case if phone will got damaged.. during warranty). Else your tutorial is great

Install the app and click philz if your bootloader is unlocked. BTW it's written in that thread that can only be installed on cm12/cm11 etc. But not on stock. If you want a recovery on stock rom try the step 2)
you should wipe cache and dalvik after flashing
and one question why is KK recommended first?

cm11 isnt nessasary...
cm11 overrides system and userdata partition...
cm12 does the same... so there isnt any differenz in flashing cm12 from stock or from cm11....
only thing usefull is to flash latest stock before flashing cm12 ... because other than custom roms ...stock rom will override nearly all partitions.... that means better modem...baseband ...etc... so you should come from last stock

I have a HUGE problem. Please help me ASAP!
I just flashed my Xperia L to CM 12.1. I was already on CM 12 before. So I went into recovery, wiped everything and installed the new ROM from zip. Everything worked fine except for the network signal. I was getting no network signal at all. So, when I rebooted the phone, I saw that the ThunderZap kernel was also removed. I tried to flash the kernel using flashtool, but this particular variant has 2 .img files (bootlp and bootkk). I flashed them both using the FlashtTool. Now, when I reboot my phone, all I see is the ThunderZap logo. Please help me ASAP, as this is my only primary driver phone.
I rooted the phone using the install.bat toolkit. unlocked the bootloader using flashtool and imei on sony. flashed stock rom. then installed recovery and flashed a custom rom.
The wifi stopped working. cant even turn it on. (the date keeps reseting to 1970 on every flash btw)
Tried miui rom, cm12, stryfex roms. same issue..
I tried:
Installing a different version of flashtool
Changing wlan.ko(can't find a prima folder)
Installing a different kernel
Flashtool says error flash aborted on flashing stock ftf
(Closing TA partition

Phone bricked after upgrading to Oreo

Hi, I have a FRD-L09C432. I wanted to try Oreo with the russian firmware, so I followed this guide:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/how-to/rebranding-to-frd-l09c10-oreo-russian-t3815591
Something must have went wrong because it booted without setup nor GApps. I think the two data zips didn't flash correctly. They couldn't be dloaded because they don't have an update.app file.
I managed to install TWRP with MultiTool v8, and I tried to flash Gapps but the google account setup crashes. I tried to flash the two other zips, "update_data_full_public" flashed successfully (only a small error at the begining but I don't think it was important) and "update_full_FRD-L09_hw_ru" gave an error directly.
I rebooted to system and OEM unlock was disabled and greyed out ... I tried to factory reset in TWRP and now it won't boot, it's stuck on honor boot animation for minutes then reboot ...
I tried to reflash update.zip via TWRP but it gives an error. Also TWRP can't unmount system, I don't know if it's important.
I tried to use DC Unlocker (15€ credits) to unlock FRP but it didn't do anything ... I asked for a refund to try DC Phoenix.
I thought about flashing stock recovery via TWRP to factory reset properly but with FRP locked I'm worried to lose TWRP forever.
Now I don't know what to do. Is DC Phoenix a good solution? Which ROM must I flash? How do I rollback to Nougat? Is there any solution?
Thanks. I'm pretty lost actually :crying:
Ok I solved my problem by flashing C10B360 from TWRP and factory reset from stock recovery. If it can help someone!

Most probable you did not Format data after you flashed the stock ROM. Download the fastboot of the stock ROM you wanna use, unzip it and flash it with MiFlash tool.

Nope...format data is needed (this one when you have to type ”yes”)
Even though I get this message error the phone booted the rom, weird...
So can I try flashing other roms like lineageos using this tool or do I need twrp? Could the wifi error on the other roms be from not properly formatting the folders?

Yeah, you got that error because you did not lock your bootloader, but ROM will work just fine. You can use MiFlash for stock ROMs only.
The Wi-Fi problems are usually related by flashing the custom ROM from the wrong stock firmware and vendor version. Just read the first page (OP) of the ROM you wanna flash and see what version of the stock ROM is needed (most of them ask for 12.0.3.0 version, but some ask for 12.0.2.0 or 12.0.4.0).

Say I lock the bootloader, but what if I want to unlock after? will I have to wait 7 days again?

If you already unlock. Then flash with fastboot, phone will lock again. And you can instant unlock again because your Mi Account have permission to unlock your device.
