G930VL (Straight Talk) to T-Mobile - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions & Answers

I have few questions regarding the Straight Talk G930VL version. Is the phone sim locked to Straight Talk? If so, is there any way to sim unlock it to use on T-Mobile? And I'm assuming installing the T-Mobile firmware is doable and will make it fully compatible with T-Mobile and all it's LTE bands.
TIA

Verizon Unlocked iPhone4 on Sprint

[Q] Can a Verizon unlocked iPhone4 be used on Sprints network? Sorry if this is a noob question but i have no experience with unlocking phones and using phones on other networks.
Hello
umm yes im pretty sure, google for it so you can confirm me
A Sprint/Verizon iphone 4 can't be "unlocked" considering it doesn't have a SIM card slot. You can flash it to metro or boost mobile, quite possibly to Sprint but its not your typical method of entering an unlock code. Even if it was the 4s, it still can only be unlocked to work on an international GSM carrier, not AT&T or T-Mobile within the states.

Question about straight talk

I'm moving to straight talk soon, and on their website when you choose a sim card you can pick either an att sim or a sim for unlocked phones. What is the difference. I thought all unlocked phones work on att and vice versa.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA
Since you never got an answer just choose the AT&T SIM, that way the phone doesn't need to be unlocked if you are using a normal AT&T device.
So any overseas unlocked device will work on ATT? Like an international hox and sgs3?
I am unfamiliar with StraightTalk and what it is, but generally an AT&T sim card only works on AT&T and an unlocked phone works with any sim card ready carrier, which would probably also include AT&T. I think you then need to go get the sim card from the carrier, or at least have it activated by them.

[Q] Z3 on Verizon?

I know that verizon has it's own Z3v, but from what I can tell the z3 from tmobile has the same bands on it's radio as the verizon variant.
If my z3 from tmobile is unlocked can I use it on Verizon? I do not have a current verizon sim card to test, so I thought someone here might have tried already. Would rather just keep my existing phone than go to a lesser version of it on verizon.
Thanks ahead of time...
No its not possible, as they need to register your ESN and considering the D6616 is GSM only, it does not have an ESN.
Also you cannot use Sprint/Verizon on each others network as they won't allow it (ESN) . But you can use Sprint and Verizon phones, those which also have GSM in addition to CDMA on AT&T and T-Mobile
I used my Sprint LG G2 (supports CDMA & GSM) on T-Mobile till I got the Z3.

Thanks for the info. I didn't have my hopes up, but it would have been nice.

Should I flash T-mobile firmware on Sprint phone since T-mobile is my provider?

I just got a Sprint phone and I am in the process of unlocking it. Once I unlock it, should I flash the Sprint S7 with the T-mobile S7 firmware since T-mobile is my provider? I know I won't get wifi calling and VOLTE, but I figured the preconfigured settings on T-mobile APN etc will make it easier for me to use the Sprint phone with less issues? The other option was flashing the International unlocked firmware.
What are your guys' thoughts?

Unlocked phone not working on Cricket

I have an unlocked Samsung Galaxy S7. The phone was originally on Straight Talk. It is model SM-G930VL. I have confirmed with ST that the device is unlocked. When I enter in the Cricket sim I get an LTE symbol, and can send and receive texts, I cannot make calls or get data. Straight Talk is telling me because this was CDMA it won't work with GSM. Is there anyway to make this model work with Cricket?
Edit: I understand technical differences between GSM and CDMA. I am basically looking for confirmation that this phone should work with cricket even if a Verizon / ST version to begin with.
