Here's the story,
This is my dad's phone. He just recently bought it. Out of nowhere, it stuck in bootloop (screen only show phone's model). He asked me if I can fix it.
I tried recovery mode and failed. It can't enter recovery mode. So I should fix it via download mode, right?
The thing is, I don't even know the firmware's phone. So I'm assuming it is Indonesian, cause I live in Indonesia.
I flash using odin and it passed but the phone still stuck.
When rebooting, the boot screen flashing 3-5 times (show phone's model - black screen - show phone's model - black screen - and so on), then stuck at boot screen again.
This is weird. So I thought maybe wrong firmware. I tried India and Phillipines (global) firmware too but the problem still exist.
I don't know how to solve it. Please help.
Phone's model: SM-J700F/DS
Um if you bought it from a samsung store, then take it back there.

try this guide I made for restoring stock firmware from Samsung sever with the smartswitch app for Windows.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j7/j700t-development/how-to-restore-j700t1-model-to-t3423455
but you NEED YOUR SERIAL# AND MODEL # of that phone!
Fix # I dont know - if it works
Try this if it helps....
You will need ( link unavailable due to my little amount of posting and not using this account):
Galaxy J7 USB Drivers for the phone
The stock ROM for the phone (exact firmware)
Odin
First install Samsung Galaxy J7 USB drivers on Windows PC. Then Download the Samsung Galaxy J7 Stock Firmware from the link above and extract the folder on your desktop.
Download ODIN flash tool to flash the firmware on your phone. Extract the folder and you will see the ODIN.exe file in the folder.
Now Turn off your Galaxy J7 and Boot in download mode.(Hold down Volume Down + Home + Power button at the same time)
Once your Galaxy J7 is in download mode. Connect it to the PC with USB cable and run the ODIN.exe file on your desktop.
If everything is right and drivers are working properly. You will see the blue box on the ODIN screen, if not reinstall the drivers again and reboot your PC.
Now select the AP option from the ODIN screen and select the firmware file that you extracted
Hit the Start button from the ODIN screen to start the flashing process.
Once completed you will see the PASS messages on the ODIN and Phone will reboot automatically. Now you can disconnect your phone.
IMPORTANT:. If your phone is still stuck on the boot loop or in the Samsung Android Logo, then turn off the phone and reboot in recovery mode. TO do this Hold down Volume Up + Home + Power button at the same time. Now from recovery select Wipe Data/Factory Reset and after that Wipe cache partition. Now reboot you phone. If you are using a custom recovery, just wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache partition again.
DONE!!!! You unbricked your Galaxy J7. Now your Phone is running the stock ROM. Check it on the setting. ENJOY..
What is the recommended firmware for
SM-J700F/DS?? Can I flash it with any SM-J700F ?
Thanks!

Try to install TWRP on the phone, then try to wipe out the stock firmware that installed. And of course, reinstall the original stock firmware that come on that region. Its actually came from Indonesia, so be sure to install the right one.

Maybe one of the buttons is broken or so. Sometimes it does boot to download mode, sometimes it doesnt. I managed to install a custom rom. I tried two Roms and none of them is able to boot. Both get stuck on bootanimation. I did not turn on USB debugging or allow OEM unlock in the stock rom before installing a custum rom.. May this be related to that?
Just tried a AOSP Rom (unofficial Lingue) and it booted like a charm. But Samsung Rom won´t boot. Do you guys know a solution?

if you can access to download mode .
1-flash latest your firmware
2-flash cf-autoroot again if you (flash latest marshmallow) by odin
if you flash nougat
1-flash latest twrp image for your s6 model
2-flash magisk root latest by twrp
after that you should access to stock rom

What's the difference between the firmware I flashed and this one you provided? I exclude a hardware failure because a AOSP ROM did boot.
Possible for the partition layout to be corrupted?

bro , the firmware difference between country and others , there firmware can't boot correctly if you installed on device , another firmware will boot correctly .
i don't think there are a failure on hardware cuz you can boot your device correctly and you can use it .
however , you can try flash this firmware without any problem , if also not booted you may need pit file for the firmware for Poland but first try flash without pit
if not work with you only (not boot up)
-flash firmware with this pit file together with
1-check option re-partition
2-make sure you check auto reboot and f.reset time
pit file for fimware

update: With the pit file flashed it doesn't boot either.

I'll flash it today when I'm home.
Yes I can, of course the stock recovery is installed now.
You need to install firmware via the 4 part binary method. Try the process below:
Download and run this:
Samfirm (on phone so having issues getting link, the software is on xda)
When you open the program, type the values given here;
Model: SM-G920F
Region: DBT
Auto: Selected
Manual: Unselected
Binary Nature: Selected
Check CRC32: Selected
Decrypt automatically: Selected
When you write and select options given above, press "Check Update" and then press "Download" to download factory firmware for your device.
Once the download has been finished, extract the zip file that you've downloaded via SamFirm.
After unzip it, download and run Odin
When you open it, press BL and select file which starts with BL from downloaded (from Samfirm) and extacted zip folder.
Do the same thing for AP, CP, CSC.
When you set 4 files to Odin, connect your phone to your PC in download mode and click "Start" on Odin
Credit goes to @forumber2 foe this process, it seems to fix a lot of stock firmware flash fails.
Hello guys,
after days of reading and trying i decided to open a thread.
I got my Samsung stuck on Erasing Screen after an update.
I tried to Flash Stock Rom via ODIN. The Flash passed but after Booting the device stuck on the Bluescreen with "Erasing" on the bottom.
I tried Flashing with Pit, and without. With Nand erase and without. With Re-partition and without.
I can not access recovery with VOL UP + Home + Power.
Device is not rooted.
I am very thankful for any advice.
Thanks in advance.

Sorry,
it is a G930F
I downloaded the File from SamFirm (G930FXXU2ERE8_CL13438344_QB18102270_REV00) and used Odin3 v3.13.1.
any solutions?
I have exactly the same Problem.
Did you find a possibility to fix that ?
I´m going crazy with that my device is unrootet and on stock Rom when it came into bootloop , i tried to fix it with Odin a couple of times used the latest Firmware from Samfirm but it doesnt work and gets stuck on erasing Screen and keeps on restarting . I can always get into download mode but i cant open the recovery . Another thingis that my System Status in the download mode says custom ?? i never flashed a custom Rom on it Does anyone know if i can bring it back to Samsung like that because i still have a guarantee
i would be so thankful for your help guys
cheers
Had a similar issue before with an S6, and one of the workarounds that works for a lot of samsung issues is to flash the phone through ODIN with a repair firmware and a pit file. If im remembering right the firmware files are AP, CP, BL and CSC, also the pit file. you gotta check repartition in odin too.
any idea how to fix this ? In the same boat, can't figure out how to solve this.
same thing happened to me, i can't get it to work

Hello everybody,
I have been pondering the possibility of flashing a XEF CSC via Odin in order to get the updates in my region. I live in France & have imported the SnapDragon version of the S10e. The latest firmware for Hong-Kong & China is the G9700ZHU1ASC8 one.
Any way this could work without root?
Thanks for your input!
P.S.: I read about this method https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=43553707&postcount=14
Quoting from original thread:
"After playing around with several stock firmwares and Odin, I accidentally stumbled upon a method to change the CSC of my S4 I9505 without the need to root the device. I successfully changed from the original TGY (Hong Kong) to SIN (Singapore) and then to DBT (Germany). This is what I did (in summary)
Make sure you take a backup via Kies if you need personal files
Download the respective stock ROMS from sammobile.com or samsung-updates.com or see thread on Stock Roms on XDA
Extract zip to get tar.md5
Put device into download mode (Vol down+ Home + Power) and Flash using Odin (PDA option)
Wait till device reboots back into Android after completing the flash and recovery
Once device reboots, do a Factory Reset via Settings > Accounts
Once device reboots after Factory Reset/recovery, enter the google account info and restore settings and then turn off the device
Boot device back into download mode (Vol down+ Home + Power)
Re-flash the same downloaded firmware for a second time via Odin
Once the device reboots after the 2nd flash, your CSC should have changed to the CSC of the ROM you downloaded, and Kies also should show that CSC has changed and it should allow future updates via Kies or OTA"
From memory the country service code cannot be changed even if you use another region firmware.

Yeah this happens sometimes, either go through the flash again with a different version of Odin or force reboot into recovery by pressing volume up+home+power while in download mode or as soon as it turns off to reboot.
If you get into recovery wipe/factory reset then reboot.

Listen we get this all the time on this board, it is always the user not doing something correctly.
You bought the phone in the UK, what firmware was already on it?
Are you sure it is a genuine G930F?
What is the exact version of the firmware you are trying to install?
Where are you getting it from?
Did you enable "debugging" before flash?
If you flash with Odin and you get a "PASS" the recovery menu is definitely there.

Ok well it may be a hardware problem rather than software if the phone crashed.
Try one more thing first.
Flash Nougat from Sammobile not Oreo and see if it boots, sometimes this has to happen first.
**Also have you tried Samsung Smart Switch Emergency software recovery?**

Samsung Smart Switch doesn't recognize this device, i guess it a hardware problem in the end.
I tried all the solutions mentioned above.
Anyway thank you very much, i will go to a service center.

NO expert, but had similar problem.
While in boot loop, volume down+home+power
when rebooting quickly switch to volume up+home+power
boots into recovery
select mount system, press power button.
worked for me
Although prior to the fix for me, I wiped cache and factory reset while in recovery. Not sure if it was needed.
