Qualcomm 9008 bricked Pixel-diag port
Hi, I know that this is an old post, but I have a bricked pixel phone and have been trying to use qpst to reinstall os. So far no luck since the elf and XML files can't be found. One of the other ways I was going to try was to open the diag port and then try to use Linux to write the os files to the partitions. However, I haven't been able get the diag port open. How did you get the port opened?

I want to mess with my cell phone's (LG KG300) operating system.
But how can i dump or mess with it? Should i start directly analyzing the circuit or should i try software techniques? show me a way. I am learning assembler and know enough about digital circuits
------------------------------------------
With LEO DOWNLOAD TOOL, can i dump my firmware or upload any other firmware to my phone via USB cable? or DO I need another type of cable?
I don't have a kg300. Read the service manual. And try!
I have tried it but it seems the serial communication driver doesn't work for windows 7. I guess I have to try on XP
I am trying to upgrade the firmware of KG300 but the DEVIAN TOOL does not recognise the cell phone (it doesn't show a COM port) in windows 7 64 bit. I guess the problem is because of the driver. Is there a solution or another way to do it?
hi, so I am trying to get this thing working with the adk. I got demokit to install after adding a few files for permissions, but It will not recognize the board. It just stays at the "please connect a demokit board" screen. Any Ideas?
Have you tried booting your phone in BP Tools and tried it? I would think that it would read your board as long as MOT software is preventing that from happening... When you load BP Tools it allows access to a composite ADB interface.
I may have no idea what I'm talking about.....
**EDIT: when I said composite ADB interface, I was looking at the device, it does also have a COM named Motorola QC Diag Port that Linux should pick up based on the Arduino site....

I'll try, however the main way of doing it does not use adb. that is a work around for when the normal method does not work, which I may have to use.

Follow detail step and pic:
1. enable DM mode for M8 by ##634# -> Diag -> enable diag mode
2. link to PC (windows 8.1), and can found 3 port and 1 unavailable port:
http://1drv.ms/1wI6SEk
3. after open QPST, couldn't recogonize :

4. don't know whether unavailable port is importanct, I need get a driver, after checked, I use follow tools to install winusb driver for the port

HTC M8 for Windows
Hi,
Three days ago I bricked my LS996 ZV8 by flashing LS996ZV5 TOT file, The Phone stuck in HS-USB QDLoader 9008 mode, So the search began for a solution, Over 3 days I collected some information.
I tried to flash with Qualcomm Flasher Tool but it seems I'm missing some files which is
rawprogram0.xml, patch.xml and the mbn programmer file for msm8994 CPU (Snapdragon810).
I've managed to get the programmer file from Lenovo A2001 which it has the same CPU whith the G Flex 2 but the two missing files (rawprogram.xml, patch.xml) must be generated somehow from the TOT file.
Luckily I found a python script on github that can generate the two missing files from the PrimaryGPT.bin which you can found it on the extract TOT, The only problem that this script has some bugs which some of us can fix easily.
We need some can fix the python script bugs. to work probably.
Let's give it a shot, It may work!
You can download the script from here https://github.com/jiangchao87/ParseGPT :victory:
Please any help here! damn it!

Didn't understand a thing!
about the emmc pinouts here.
I was saying there some cheaper devices available for Jtaging. Free software is OpenOCD http://openocd.org/ for Jtag. and I think it can be done through usb connectors given below:
http://chinaprices.net/buy-ft232rl-...ter-adapter-module-arduino-banggood-53BE0B040 But we need someone with more technical knowledge to do this.
