Try this app mate - Simple control
I tried such apps but it only creates navbar upon the apps which makes some features of the app unuseful.

Eh?
IIRC you can easily reduce the size of the Navbar and you can hide it whenever you don't wanna see that navbar.
Isn't there any way to reduce the display size and include the navbar in its place ???

You could easily change dpi of your device, if it's rooted. Then adjust navbar keys.

Hi all,
Introudcing my request for someone to implement a no-nav bar mod, either via Xposed or through any other way.
In order to maximise screen estate, I would use pie-related apps in order to emulate the nav bar buttons.
Thanks a lot.

There are many many ways out there, you can find them by doing a simple search
But persionally I prefer GMD Auto Hide Soft Keys ★ root for this matter,
or you can try this app (might need xposed) to do the job:
[APP][4.0+]Ultimate Dynamic Navbar
good luck

I agree, and I am using Xposed with GMD Gesture Control to replace it. For whatever it's worth, when I used auto hide soft keys, the green phone button on the dialer disappeared. Switched to Xposed method and haven't looked back.
Expanded desktop mode via gravity box
Just add this line "qemu.hw.mainkeys=1" without the quotes in system/build.prop using a text editor.Reboot your phone and voila...no navbar. Before removing the navbar install LMT launcher or any other alternative. And for the dial button problem in phone app just install APP SETTINGS xposed module and set the Contacts dpi to 305 and everything will be perfect.
I reduced the navbar size and now I have one problem, in the home screen the app drawer stayed in the same position as they were before I reduced the size, it looks really bad, does anyone know how to fix, I used gravity box to reduce the size. Please help me someone....

I returned to normal size, what I want to know is whether or not I can reduce size in app only?
Is there a way to disable the annoying "feature" of transparent status bar? I've been searching for days and am only finding Xposed modules recommended or status bar replacement apps but I just want to disable the transparency, nothing else. Is there a way to do in Android V6 (Marshmallow) on Samsung Touchwiz?

No
it s default on android 6.0 system UI so you have use a 3rd party tool or app to disable it.
like nova launcher > setting > looks & feel > disable transparent notification bar
there is no setting in Android System itself
:good:

Damn, so much for Android being the OS of "options". Another IOS, here we come?
Is there any other app you are aware of instead of a full-blown launcher? Something simpler?

thats the point! you don't have any launcher or MOD Or ROM in iOS there is no option.
you don't like this you can install another thing to change it

Got it. Did that, thanks man. Is there a way to disable the "expansion" of notifications by default? After I rooted, all notifications are showing expanded. It used to take a two-finger swipe down to expand each but now they just all show up like that by default. And I'm not even able to collapse them. They start collapsing when I do two-finger swipe up but go back to their expanded mode when let go.

No.
technically when there is expanded option for a notification so user may need to do something! >> it s useful
to collapse it two-finger swipe up should work just make sure put two finger correctly!

The two finger swipe looks like it's gonna happen with the notification starting to collapse as expected but then expands back when the fingers are released. It will not stay collapsed. And they are ALL expanded by default, even a silly screenshot notification and other notifications that didn't used to be expanded before I rooted but are now.
Hey there
As the title says I am searching for a way to make the navbar smaller on Oreo
Saw many threads where ppl wanted to disable it but that's not what I am looking for
On Nougat I had some apps that made the navbar smaller but on Oreo it seems that those are not working anymore
Or maybe I am doing something wrong
Because I don't get substratum also not working (I know that changing navbar height with substratum is not working on Oreo atm?)
It's just working one time and that's it
Hope somebody can help me
No one? Please, the bar is very large, we need to oreo, please
Same here, updated to Oreo "crap" release and the navbar is HUGE! I want it a lot thinner. No solution I used before works now.
Until now nobody could give a solution or some mod?
I always used Renovate Ice ROM, with RiCE Tweaks app that allowed such customization, and much more. Not sure if it works with stock rom though. I agree, I always set my navbar to ~half of the original one, but that was also the case in nougat.

In developer options there is a minimum width option, try experimenting with that by increasing the number
Any news with this? The perfect solution would be an APK (like Nougat) that changes the navbar height

My substratum pack can disable it, but not set a height. Look up System Mods on play store.
Its under System UI -> Remove Nav Bar Immersive. Then make sure you install my app called Immersive and set it for Nav Bar.

Yeah I know that app and it's cool but that's totally not what I am looking for
I really like that substratum pack using it for making the navbar black
But in this case all I want it smaller navbar like on Nougat
Hmm

yeah it works, but changes the hole interface
with xposed and gravity box its possible to change the hight of navbar.
Just change the dpi in developer options, it won't make it shorter but the buttons smaller, looks so much better in my opinion.
this is what im looking for but no solution so far..
Same here.
Looking for this.
Hi,
I modified existing navbar enabler to make compatible with LineageOS and make capacitive button disable.
Just use Magisk to install it.

It works fine... It will be even more nicer if you add pixel animations too.. :good:
Hey, honest meant question: Why would you need an onscreen navbar when you have the buttons? Is it configurable in some way?

Because it is supposed to have the on screen nav bar in the first place. Also, the back and app switch buttons on the soft keys are placed incorrect. I find it hard to use the soft keys because I am used to the original placement of the buttons which is back on the left and app switch on the right.
Does this module works with stock Oreo (Feb security patch) ?
the dev has added support to enable navbar from settings itself, with customization.
