Most Chinese smartwatches today, come preinstalled with the Nucleus OS. However, it seems impossible to install third-party applications.
Indeed, you are able to install such apps; just load the app you want to install into your smartwatch's microSD, and then dial up the code: *#00000000# in the dialer app.
Now you can enjoy your smartwatch???!
Some useful apps that I have found on the Internet are there:

Will this work for any watch brand with nucleus OS..
Is there a screen size limit so 240x240 as most bt watches are? Has anyone actually got a working FB app for it as it errors saying not enough resources?

Dear G1-Amateur,
I have not found any Heart-rate apps with Bluetooth Connectivity. But, if you describe exactly what kind of app you need, I will search online and come up with some. Have on mind that in order such an app to work, your Nucleus-Based Smartwatch must have a Heart Rate Sensor compatible with that. So, if you want me to find an app for your watch, please send me the device's specs (to find them press *#66*# on the Smarrwatch's dialer - then press Version > Summary) and an extensive description of the app you want.

What about clones? Do they work as well? because when I type the code in nothing happens. Or is it that I didn't put the SD card in? (sorry I can't try it out with the SD card in, there's none lying about and none in my phone and I can't be asked to go the stores to buy one.)

On a side note, is there any way to flash android on one? Or is nucleus os hard baked in

I noticed that there is some discussion about this application in this forum, so I decided to make an official thread.
The description from the market:
Fast, convenient and cool way to protect your mobile with face recognition.
Protect any application (i.e. SMS, Gallery, E-Mail, Facebook, etc.) on your phone using face recognition. Convenient and cool way to increase safety of your private apps and content.
Visidon AppLock lets you choose the apps to be protected. Your face is a key to open them! Application uses the frontal camera of your mobile and verifies in real-time that the face matches the one allowed to access the private apps.
NOTES AND TIPS:
1. You must have a front facing camera in your device to use the face recognition feature. Otherwise it is disabled and you are only able to use password verification.
2. This application was developed and tested with Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000 and Acer Iconia A500. User experience may vary with other devices due different hardware (e.g. camera etc.).
3. In addition to the applications you wish to protect, you should also add Visidon AppLock itself and any application that can be used to close or unistall applications or services (task manager, settings etc.) as well as any application that can be used to install new applications (market, myfiles etc.) to the protection list to get your mobile fully secured.
4. If the preview image is upside down or sideways, please try to set different camera orientations from the settings tab.
5. The default security level is medium. If it seems too low (i.e. other people can get in too easily), you can set it to maximum from the settings tab.
6. The most accurate recognition will be achieved when all the training images are taken directly from front (i.e. no profile images etc.). Also, you should take training images in different illuminations (in those environments where you usually use your mobile). Sufficient amount of images per person is about 5 to 10.
Btw. this app requires at least Android version 2.3, since we use the frontal camera API.
Link to marketplace: https://market.android.com/details?id=visidon.AppLock
Remember to watch the youtube video! It gives you the basic idea about how to use it.

Tasker is an automation app for Android. It's really useful. For eg: if your app had Tasker integration, I could say, write a Tasker profile to disable the lock when I was at home, or when I performed a certain gesture.

What do you mean "per person"? Does that mean I can add more than one person's face as a key? That would be neat!

It's more about that Google doesn't allow.
This is sort of gray area. I understand why you want to use rooted/unlocked phones, but it also enables piracy. Although this is free app, we still would like that the marketplace is the only distribution channel for this, so we won't be sharing this directly.
We are going to discuss this in depth and we might change our distribution politics, but don't hold your breath

Hmm. If the app can be started from the launcher, you should see it.
Anyway, there are some issues in this. I addressed them in the previous thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=15667199&postcount=38
heres the file for direct dload from the original post for those (like me) running custom ROMs and get an incompatibility message on the Market.

It would be awesome if you could make it use the rear camera if there is no front one. I don't have an FFC but it would still be cool to feel dorky and turn my phone around to unlock things. If it isn't a big deal to add that, it would be a great way to expand your userbase even if we don't have quite as accessible functionality as those with FFCs.

ability to use it for the lockscreen would be slick.
Running on thunderbolt mostly well have it set to always run as service and not keep unlocked when screen on, every once in a while it stops running randomly. I wonder if its because I have too many apps locked? Add this to lock screen and I couldn't ask for more

THIS DOC IS NO LONGER ACTIVELY MAINTAINED!
Sorry for this, but real life took over and managed to take so much of my time up that I’m no longer able to verify and test stuff on my own. Besides, since Android Wear 6 a lot of things changed and I’d have to test all of these apps again.
Greetings dear Android Wear users!
Today I got my LG G Watch and I'm just amazed by the capabilities of that watch so I thought I'd create a list of all working sideloaded apps.
For everyone who doesn't know: Sideloaded Apps are .apk files installed directly to the watch via ADB.
Since Android Wear is technically the same and the specs for every watch are also kind of in the same range this list will most likely apply to your own Android Wear watch too, even when it's not an LG G Watch.
Please report any weird behaviors here with the keywords mentioned below to make things easier for me to search and add to the list.
--------------------
Useful Links:
Apps2Wear - Directly install APKs onto your watch via your SmartPhone
How to Sideload Apps onto your Android Wear device (YouTube)
Easily download any APK file directly from the Google Playstore
Easily launch apps from your watch
Un/Install Android Wear apps (Google Docs)
--------------------
The list of all sideloaded apps working on Android Wear can be found on Google Docs (to make things more simple for me to update).
------------------------------------------------------------
CLICK HERE TO SEE THE LIST (Google Docs)
Will be updated over time
------------------------------------------------------------
Want to help?
If you want to help making this list bigger and better please write the following keywords into your reply/report so I can find things easier and faster:
"Tested & Working" - App install works and application is running and starts without a force-close.
"Tested & Crashing" - App installed but crashes/force-closes at start up.
"Tested & Report" - App installed and runs fine but is unusable (e.g. GUI is too big, example would be Temple Run 2)
This makes my work a whole lot easier and my thankfulness for you even bigger
And now: Have fun testing!

Probably not SwiftKey (minuum is probably best suited to wear anyway), and definitely not WhatsApp. If you look at the guide by Corbin Davinport on pushing APKs to android wear, he says that he found that apps that require internet connection do not work. Therefor, WhatsApp wont be able to directly connect, as you would design the app so that it works through the devices Bluetooth connection to connect to the internet. However, I believe the developer of Wear Messenger has an app that lets you access WhatsApp through text messages, which then allows you to use WhatsApp from wear messenger.
The second point of this post is directed at OP,
In the google docs, it lists "Don't tap the white tile" as partially working and intermittently crashing in certain game modes. Once again referring to the guide by Corbin, the crashes arise whenever the app try's to show an ad. If you go into the settings and disable banner ads and only allow popups, you can get to the end of the game without the app crashing. It probably will crash at the end though if it tries to show an ad as this tries to connect to the internet, and that causes apps on wear to crash. One would probably be able to fix this by decompiling and recompiling the application to remove ads.

Since yesterday i'm working on adapting it for wear.
Besides it's own feature, it has a specific feature that could make many more apps working on wear: it has a remote clipboard feature that allow to set the clipboard on the wear device from your phone.
They are many apps that don't work on the wear because they need text entry: this would allow you to type the needed text on your phone and paste it in those apps.

Just got my LG Watch G and I tested all sorts of apps after installing the "Ghoma rom", below are some of the apps not on the list I tried.
Tested & Working
Retry
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rovio.retry&hl=en
Game complains about missing Google Play Services but if you "ok" the prompt the game will load and seems to be fully playable. The built in "ad" button that opens a ad to view and earn coins does not work. You must earn coins the hard way in game.
EDIT: The game seems to be usable once every boot, in my case I had to reboot the watch to play the game again.
Tested & Report
Speedtest.net
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.zwanoo.android.speedtest&hl=en
The app loads but doesn't do anything because there isn't system wide internet access.
Tested & Crashing
Youtube
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.youtube&hl=en
Crashes and fails to load anything.
Keepass2Android
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=keepass2android.keepass2android&hl=en
There are two versions of this app, regluar and offline. I tested the regular one and it crashes and fails to load anything.
8-ball Pool
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.miniclip.eightballpool&hl=en
Crashes and fails to load anything.
NHK World TV Live
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.nhkworldtv.android&hl=en
Starts to load but crashes complaining about internet access.
Starbucks
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.starbucks.mobilecard&hl=en
Crashes and fails to load anything.
ICE
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.queader.ice&hl=en
The game doesn't even seem to try loading, no crash message. But it causes the screen to rotate till it silently crashes in the background.
Angry Birds Friends
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rovio.angrybirdsfriends&hl=en
Loads to a black screen and just sits there. Required putting the watch to sleep with the palm gesture to exit.
2FA apps
Was disappointed to see these crash on start:
Google Authenticator
RSA SecureID
Not really surprised, but it would have been nice

i do have sony xperia phone,
after downloading "OS MONITOR" app on playstore

That's a suspicious behaviour.
But OS Monitor app has a probable explaination at least.
There is some information the description on Google Play:
You may see high network traffic on Android L, because I use local TCP socket to transfer data, please don't worry about it, those data never pass though mobile network, it is just a false alarm. I also am working on it and hope to find another that doesn't cause false alarm

Its simple. If you dont trust an app then dont use it. Many more apps are coming out of China and are sending info back to them. This is common.

I was interested in this field and was wondering how exactly you were leveraging root permissions to actually capture the system audio? This would be super helpful for me - if you wouldn't mind sharing some of your sources it would be much appreciated.

iirc it lets you stream your system audio over dlna to something like a sonos speaker or upnp device. along with some other less important stuff, check on the playstore com.nav.aoaservice

Very cool that AOA is now free. I like the simplicity of the app -- just redirecting audio to RAOP device on network. Plays well with XBMC/Kodi on Raspberry PI and Airmusic NW11 Airplay/DLNA box.
It works well for me with AOSP (OmniROM) but just seems to pipe noise from HTC Sense ROM (HTC M7 Dev Edition). Does Sense use a non-standard audio stack?
Thank you for this free app. It seems to work well for me as a solution of piping Xbox music pass to my Denon. Only thing I wish it did which another paid app does is send song track info to the airplay device, perhaps it specifically knows how to hook into the Xbox music app for this info, it just works automagically. Would be super if this could get added at some point but isn't critical.

I've been using aoaroot for a few months. Its recently been pulled from play store and I keep getting warnings that its dangerous and to uninstall. Can anyone shed light on the situation? Ive contacted the developer but have not gotten a response yet.

Same here. I ended up uninstalling the app. Any response from the dev?
Not yet, I've uninstalled AOA and bought AllCast instead. It works just as well for me.

WE have confirmation!
Just receieved a reply from the developer. He explained that he has been overseas with no access to his email.
This is what he said about it being banned from the play store:
The app does NOT modify any system files and will not harm your device.
On Android 5.0, SELinux is enabled by default, which will make injectso fail, to make injectso work, the app temporary disable SELinux, launch injectso, then re-enable SELinux immediately , This happens at startup of the app and only lasted a 3 seconds, it should not cause any harm to your device. Unfortunately Google use this as an excuse for violating their developer's terms and have banned this app from playstore.

Thanks for the update!
Force closes on Marshmallow. Anyone got a fix?
This seems to me, misleading, I was thinking this was Android Open Accessory (AOA)

Still looking for a Marshmallow fix on my Nexus 7 2012, as this is just the best thing and free. Or, are there any other free alternatives to this app?
Pity it's not in development any more.
With selinux in permissive the app works for me in M.

Hi!
How did you reach him? The apps (neither SELinux enabled or disabled) not working for me. I use MIUI 8, android 6.
I am trying to enable AOA on my s6 edge android 7.0 installed, for the Sony Auto teyp dsx-a110u for days. And I could not do anything.
Is this a solution for me? Or is there any other solution?
Hello guys this wasn't made by me, but since the author released it to the public, im just sharing the steps, if you guys wanna thanks
say hello to mcfasa09 here https://www.reddit.com/r/GearS3/comments/7t9nfd/tizen_messages_app_non_samsung_phone/
"If you don't have a Samsung phone I just found out you can still launch the Messages app. This app allows you to see SMS conversations for all texts sent from the watch. The app will not be visible in the app drawer (thanks a lot, Samsung), but it is still installed on the watch!
If you use a face from an app like WatchMaker you can set a tap action to open an app, and sure enough, "Messages" is listed as an app (select one of the elements in your face, Tap Action/Watch: Select Application/Messages).
What this ultimately means is that it is possible to create an app that, when launched, auto-launches Messages. Essentially adding Messages itself to the app drawer. For now using a tap action is fine, but I'll be making an app for this during this coming week (Of course I couldn't put it on the Samsung app store, but sideloading it to your S3(S2/Sport) will work fine). If you beat me to it please post a link to the download.
Thanks!!
Another note: Once you look up a contact in the messages app, you can then send texts via voice. Another once thought "Smasung phones only" ability.
It's a very simple piece of code. Again if someone wants to beat me to it please post the link to download it (the Tizen Studio project file would also be appreciated). Here's what you need to make it:
https://developer.tizen.org/community/code-snippet/native-code-snippet/launch-another-application
https://developer.tizen.org/ko/deve...anagement/application-controls?langredirect=1
Note that the link is for a native app, rather than a web app.
You will also need to know the package name of the Messages app which can be found using an sdb shell command:
http://developer.samsung.com/forum/thread/how-can-i-know-installed-package-name-by-tool-/201/280289?boardName=SDK&startId=zzzzz~"
When are you releasing the app
Sent from my [device_name] using XDA-Developers Legacy app
I would also like to know.
I'm new to Gear S3. On the link in OP, the dev told that the app should be sideloaded to the watch. How do I sideload apps on my Gear S3? Is it the same as using adb tool?
Any update on this?
