What can I do without tripping Knox? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S6

Wondering what I can do on my S6 that doesn't trip Knox, if anything. Running Android 5.1.1 (just downgraded from 6.0.1).
Would love to be able to run a custom rom like LineageOS and have perm root, but if that requires tripping Knox, its not worth it to me.

Root 5.1.1 - Dont care about tripping KNOX

I'm on the newest OTA of 5.1.1, and I want to root and don't really care about KNOX anymore. I just want to do so without wiping my phone or losing any data; custom ROMs are out of the question.
PignPong and Chainfire don't work for 5.1.1, the non-KNOX tripping solution breaks vital features, so I'm wondering if there is another way.
If you want root and not worried about knox flash this http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...d-development/kernel-stockmod-kernel-t3100395 kernel to gain root.
I'm afraid there is still no method that will meet your needs.
Does this break anything? All features intact, no need to reset the phone?

[NEED UPDATE]Root N915G Without tripping knox?

Hi,
I know this has been posted a few times before but i was looking for an update.
I am looking to root my N915G without tripping the knox counter as i have only just got it and still want a valid warranty. I am aware that if i downgrade to kitkat i might be able to use kingroot to root without tripping knox but ideally i want to keep lollipop. I have tried all of the rooting apk's however all of them fail.
Is there any temporary solution that could work without tripping knox?
Thanks,
Alex
I would love that 2!

Does rooting without using a custom ROM trip Knox?

Hey, I want to root my GS6 but i'm not sure if it will trip the Knox counter or not. If I don't use a custom ROM with the root, I just keep using the one that it came with, will KNOX be tripped?
If you are on 5.1.1 or 6.0.1 you have to Trip Knox. I remember there is a engineering Bootloader somewhere which allows you to root without tripping Knox. But not sure about this.

Towelroot and S9 plus

I have an s9 plus (exynos) so I know I can root my phone but I'm still worried about tripping Knox.
There's also towelroot which doesn't trip knox and if you do not install a custom rom no harm will be done to Knox.
My question is now if Towelroot will work with the S9+, some say it will some say it won't .
If towelroot is the way to go how about installing root (supersu or magisk) can this be done without installing another bootloader?
As far as I know installing another bootloader will also harm Knox
Towelroot hasn't worked for years now. It's only for pre-Lollipop devices. The only way to root now is to unlock the bootloader and trip Knox.
lmao.. yea, towelroot is super old...

Work profiles workaround on KNOX tripped Note 10 with stock firmware?

I have a Note 10 that I recently rooted (with Magisk), tripping the KNOX counter, and can no longer use Island/Shelter/work profiles. Do any workarounds exist to bypass KNOX and get Island/Shelter to work again?
