So im not into the Z5,i am looking to get one...my last phone was a old but gold Z1 ...
My question is that is there a way,a modded camera app out there or something to record with more than 120fps at 720p?(240fps or more)...
I mean even my old generation Z1 was capable to do a 120 at 720p ...and this phone has a mutch stronger hardware.

So it's only software limitation? Maybe editing supercamera.apk we get the 240 fps again, I'll try to edit.

I bought a Z5c like 3 days ago,i would guess it's the same with this one too...did you had any sucess or you didnt try to modify the apk?
If it's thermal problem they could fix it just like they did with the 4k,if the phone reaches a non-safe temp then the app closes itself.
I dont want to record movies in 240fps,just 1-2 min videos for fun and because the phone could handle it i guess.

I did not try, enough for me. Ask to @chinmoy32, he knows much more editing camera apk.

Hi everybody, I have recieved my N5 2 weeks ago and Im loving it. The only problem I have is with the camera. Lets face it, the camera app is not so great and Im curious if there is a good replecement for it. I have a samsung galaxy s2 from almost 3 years ago with 8 megapixels and it takes much better pictures therefore I know it is the camera app, not the camera itself. Yes, Ive tried some camera apps from the play store but none of which I tried really work great. I am more curious in ports from the lg g2 or galaxy s2-4 if possible? What are the best alternatives or what is possible? Thanks.

did you get the 4.4.2 update yet? made the camera much better. Zoom Fx is also a camera ap that has always done right by me

Yes I did . My only problem is that I want to take fast action shots without blur and that isnt going so well........

I will try Zoom FX and see how that works
the camera app is fine, no issues with it and taking fast and motion shots. maybe its something you need to learn?

ill adjust exposure occasionally, but rarely change anything. but i do not rely on autofocus, ever. i touch to focus where i want it focused. just pressing the button and getting a general focus is satisfactory, i like making sure what i want gets focused on.

Everybody knowse that Z1C can capture HD/FHD video in 60fps, but the feature isn't there in the phone.
The Z2 camera application has options about 30 and 60 fps recording.
Is it possible to porting camera app or any other solution to record in 60 fps with Z1 Compact?

Recently, @munjeni has ported Z2 camera to his Sony based KK ROM, you can find link in the last line of instructions here:

But does his timeshift video implementation really work? Ive tried to replace files manually back n forth but the timeshift video app always ends up with the regular message in the lines of "video cam has stopped" (maybe not the exact phrase) which resulted in needing to clear camera and video data to make the regular camera work again and the ports over in the regular z1 forum have only managed half decent ports it seems?
And yeah, I havent seen any choice of 30 and 60fps in z2 camera either when I tried it.

The new update significantly increases start-up time according to Sony, as well as providing a better overview in Walkman home with fewer items. Sony still gives you the option to open the full list view. The 12.3MB.

Never had a problem playing my FLAC files, just tried again to make sure and they work fine.
I got the update through the update center a few minutes ago, in the info it mentioned 8.4.A.5.3 but when I check in my walkman app, I'm actually on 8.4.A.5.4. There must have been an extra bug fix.

Maybe because Walkman is for everyday users lol. Mp3 works for then while us Audio geeks need Flac which don't work for walkman. Damn you Sony !¡!¡!¡!¡!

Any ideas why could it be that the Visualizer doesn't work? It just gives a black screen and that's it... It has been this way from previous versions as well... I cleaned the data but no difference... :/

Here's the 8.4.A.5.4 version.
Normally this is the right apk. I extracted it from system/app but I noticed there's another semcmusic.apk in system/priv-app with a smaller file size. Let me know if it's the right one otherwise I'll upload the other one.

Thanks for the response, but the image link is no longer available.
I was able to make it via stock video.
1) record video on HD , UHD didnt let you edit
2) open instock video app
I really need this feature and it's gone since Pie update , I wonder if it's a bug or they intentionally removed it?
Anyone able to get the stabilization to work or any method to revert the camera app to the older version?

I was under the assumption video stabilisation is on always.. You can't turn it off. Hence there's no option in the settings anymore....

I wish it was like that but I'm pretty sure it is not!!!
The video recording is shaking as hell and it doesn't make sense to have in on all the time since EIS doesn't work with 60FPS and 4K and that would be really confusing.
Using gcam you get the option to turn video stabilisation on/off.

What is Gcam? do you mean google camera? I can't find it in the playstore tho I only found google lens!!

I found out you meant google camera!! but the app doesn't support honor note 10 , correct?

Your quite tight you won't find it in the Playstore as its a modified version of the camera app that goes into the pixel phones.
There's very little versions, if any now, that work OK with this phone. Not many developers are trying to port the app to the honor note 10. Not popular enough or to old.
The one I'm using is the latest version I can find that works OK with the Note 10. Albeit an old version now as the latest version of Gcam have loads more features..
