Btw, L Speed still doesn't support notification categories (or how the hell is it called). I can only toggle them on or off completely, just like on previous versions of Android.
I mean, in Android O you can seperate notifications e.g. for settings applied on boot and error messages. Therefore users can disable error messages while keeping that "settings applied" notification.

Yes, exactly. I can add NotificationCategories but i have to make one app separated with different configs, so let it be like this for now
When Google release API we will make it more compatible.

Switched to Balanced profile, battery was charging REALLY slowly. IDK, maybe it's not related to your app, but it's worth mentioning. UI wasn't snappy enough, too, but I was expecting that.
Additionaly, after boot, L Speed tweaks seem to be executed a lot later than time set in app (like one or two minutes later). However, that may be related to SuperSU. I read something about delaying things on boot due to problems with early (and the only) version that's there right now.
Will post more observations later tommorow, it needs time to test
Unexpected edit: Just tested charging, works fine now. Maybe reboot fixed it, before it phone became extremely sluggish. Screenshots show normal charging now.

@Paget96 Aggressive doze doesn't work well for me. I left phone in charger overnight and at the morning, after pressing power button, the screen stayed black and after like 3 seconds phone restarted. Doesn't have log, though.
Now rocking Light doze optimization, see how it's gonna hold up.
Balanced profile seems to do good job in increasing performance on DP3, however, I'm gonna test battery life further.

this release works only with proximity sensors, this is a minimal version of our application, but the next update (will need a least 1 month) will works even without proximity sensors and it will contain a new function (sense lock screen with full weather animations that will looks 100% like the stock sense lockScreen, this will be the first real sense lockScreen),so please keep an eye on our thread.

Good to lock but unlock is unstable (sometimes reactive, long or inoperable) and home key can still unlock screen...
Great app, very useful, dude. I have detected these problems:
You have little translation errors (Préférences-->Preferences; secondes -->seconds)
Can you reduce the sensibility? If your pocket isn't very tight, your phone can be unlocked and cause problems.
There is a lag if you are using the CPU Governors Smartass and InteractiveX. I think you can't fix this, but would be better if you put a notice about this potential problem.
Tested on Gingerbread 2.3.7 (Xperia X8, custom kernel).
Testing now, will use throughout tomorrow and provide feedback in the evening. Really great idea for an app.

So, tested it on my Galaxy Nexus (Maguro/GSM, CM10 Stable). At the moment it seems to be a bit unstable, no FC, but sometimes it doesn't really work.
The first time I switched it on, my home button couldn't bring me to the home screen, just flickered and still on the screen of the app. Only back button or app switcher worked.
Would be nice if you put a option (yes/no) for a notification icon on the status bar.
Is it possible to use the proximity sensor for switching on again or does it drain battery too much?
By the way, if you need translations, I could offer German
EDIT: Tested app version seems to be version 1.0 as shown in the app info. Please add a version number to your downloads and somewhere in the app for easier comparison. And as always, if it is not to much effort for you, please upload also to Google Play, so all installations get your updates quickly.
Works very responsively. A few transityion errors for me and the shake to unlock is a little off.
Tested on HTC One S S4 4.0.3 ICS
Initial use is great. I like the idea of being able to pull phone out and unlocking without any input from me. Check what I'm after and replace in pocket, and locking again with out any input from the user.
Things I will be watching the next few days are unwanted wake ups and battery drain.
Would like to see this stick after rebooting. As it is now, you must start service with every reboot.

Hi Steph310,
you said unlocking is unstable, with which values on the "unlock time out" menu ?
home key should unlock screen only when the phone is out of you pocket,is it?
(when the phone is covered ,screen should go off again)

it is normal that CPU Governors(Smartass) causes problems, the low frequency while screen off can cause such problems
"If your pocket isn't very tight, your phone can be unlocked and cause problems." ==> it should work with ~5 centimeters of height, this is related to the proximity sensor's limitation(but i think it is enough)

The app works flawlessly, but at a point it is too much. I, sometimes rest my finger over the sensor when using the phone in landscape, and it turns the screen off.
(Search on where the sensor stays on Sony Xperia S).
I know it is a beta testing now, but both the UI and the icons need an update.
In summary: Works flawlessly; the idea with it is a no go for me and my phone; UI and icons needs update.

Has anyone been able to get Light Flow to work on the OnePlus One? I like light flow a lot better than the CM notification center, but I just can't seem to get it to work.
Has anyone here getten it to work? If so, mind sharing your settings?
So far I've had one person say it worked and two not!
Can you try and see if led color tester by coolbeans works on the phone (with lightflow either not installed or disabled) and let me know if that works?
I'm interested in this as well. I enjoy Lightflow so much more than any of the other notification apps I've tried. I'll be heartbroken if it doesn't work...

Hello. I'm a big fan of your work (been using on the N4 and N5).
I also have this app on my OnePlus One. I noticed that up until the most recent build that all my notifications were working. Gmail and stuff were all fine.
Is it me or did the latest build change something? When notifications come in I get a white light blinking. When I power my screen on and off again it seems like Light Flow then registers, and now I get green pulses.
I'm not sure if its the most recent build of Light Flow or if its because I added a second Gmail account). I am rooted so I'm on root mode, but maybe some of my settings are whacked?

Yep, have the same "issue". Before the last Update everything was fine..
No Light Flow issues here.
Just got my OnePlus One today. Installed, restored the app generated backup from my S4, good to go.
Some apps need to have their own LED setting disabled for LF to work properly since the last version.

You sir are a hero. It no longer requires me to use Gravity Box UNC to override settings.
Question: Do you recommend for high end phones like the N5 and OPO to run in foreground or background? I see no issues with background on my OPO and the app doesn't get killed at all.
Second question: You're still going to roll out global settings someday right? Having to change speeds for every app is a bit annoying, or even custom blink settings.
Final question: Is it possible to adjust the brightness for the LED? I see a brightness option in the sleep options for night blinking, but adjustments for individual notifications? Would be nice to have global for this too

On the N5 I find it does work better with the option on, without it once every few days maybe it'll get killed off by android (which is fairly normal for any background service) so it'll miss a notification.

Yes that's still on the list. If google hadn't brought out android L I'd have been working on that, but I've had to divert my time to issues with that!

There's a global option for this (in lightflow, settings, general settings, led brightness), but not individual, you'd just have to use the custom color option at the moment.
Lightflow works for me.
I can't get LF working, or if it does work it just flashes white. I'm 100% stock/unrooted so is there anything else I need to activate to get it working? I had no issues with my previous Nexus 4/5 so it must be something silly!
EDIT: Reinstalled and seems to be working OK now, so obviously something I did wrong!
Thanks for the help @andrewpmoore
Is it possible to have the lights on even when the screen on? Is that the "Samsung direct mode?" I don't believe that worked on my other non Samsung devices, so I doubt it will work on the OPO.
I ask because CM's battery LED seems to by default remain on even when the screen is on or off.

Correction! There seems to be a small glitch: At the end of Charging when switching to Charged it seems to start switching between Charging and Charged rather than just using the Charged notification.
I've a fix coming for switching between charged and charging.
What 'Device Settings' is everyone running to make this work? Is anyone using:
Direct Mode?
Samsung root mode?
Reset color before change?
Nexus 5 force LED reset?
For some reason mine works for a period of time than I start getting SMS's and it stops working. I restart the app, but it doesn't continue to work again. Not sure what's going on.

Maybe the wifi scanning is on. Also he hasn't fully charged it I think.
The new root method is systemless (2.61), so secure settings won't get root access. Here's the fix:
adb shell
su
mount -o remount,rw /system
touch /sbin/su /system/bin/su /system/xbin/su
mount -o remount,ro /system
exit

Obviously, it won't be systemless after this, but has no negative effects other than that.

Hey these are just a few things that i have found that are not completely broken but annoying enough to talk about.
First one is on some apps I am getting double notifications. Not that there are 2 of the same notifications in the tray but i get 2 sound alerts and too vibrate alerts. Not every app is doing this though which leads me to believe it may be an app optimization issue. This also get translated to android wear btw.
Second is voice dictation in the Stock google keyboard. Sometimes it will fail and other times it will be fine. random issue so no really way to lock down the cause.
Third is camera sluggishness all around. Double tapping the power button is slower than it has been and in the app changing modes or viewing pictures is also a slight issue.
Anyone else have these issues?
Having the same issue with the voice dictation in Gboard. It turns on and shuts off immediately.

Third is camera sluggishness all around. Double tapping the power button is slower than it has been and in the app changing modes or viewing pictures is also a slight issue.
Anyone else have these issues?

Sign up for GBoard beta. A new version released today. I've read that it resolves the issue.

By the way, to sign up for beta, just go to Playstore, GBoard, scroll down, and tap the button.
I'm on Gboard beta and it works better. I have had no camera sluggishness and I flashed from O DP4. I've never had that double notification issue, what apps give you double notifications??

Twitter, Tapatalk and a few others. It is a strange thing but maybe I will wait until the September OTA to see what happens

Have you tried 1) deleting cache, 2) toggling notification on/off in app, 3) clearing app data, and/or 4) uninstalling/reinstalling app? I would try these things in the stated order and observe the app behavior each time. Let us know how things turn out. Thanks.

I'm seeing the same on my Px and Px XL. Twitter and Slack. Clearly, the issue is app-specific. I tried all of the above but no joy. I have noticed that if the phone is not asleep, then there is no double sound. This may support your theory of app optimization. I will next try uninstalling/reinstalling the app to see if it makes a difference.
Hmm I may check this myself about the sleep issue

I am having the same double notification issues as well. Same apps, Twitter particularly. I also used the OTA directly from the August 7.1.2. In addition my battery drain has been ridiculous today. I attempted to clear cache for all apps only to find that Google has removed that control from both the OS settings as well as via stock Recovery. That's right, you can no longer format the /cache partition. I wish they'd at least moved it into Developer options instead of removing it entirely.
I've manually cleared Google Play services data and cache for several apps showing high battery usage in the new battery settings. I've also limited background usage for apps like Facebook, Snapchat, etc.
I've uninstalled/reinstalled Twitter with the hope that the app will register under O [perhaps properly] and resolve the issue. No joy. I would seem that the app devs for Twitter, Slack, Tapatalk, etc. will need to fix the code to work under O. I recently saw another app updated with "Fixed Android O notifications" in the change log.
Relatedly, I have a custom ringtone set with Twitter, but the double tone I hear is the phone's default tone. I have not been able to get the custom-selected tone to play. Something else for Twitter to fix.

For wiping cache, if you are rooted or bootloader unlocked, you can use Flashfire or boot to TWRP.
My battery life on O (observed on two Pixels) is definitely not as good as N.
Weird. Battery life for me is incredibly better. I mean like.. Is there a reporting problem? How can this be so much better? Only one day in but I'm liking what I see.

For the double notification sound, my workaround is to use Lightflow. I already had it for other purposes, so I set the native app [e.g., Twitter] for no sound and set LF to make the sound. All is good.

What do you mean by "reporting problem"?

I meant is the battery indicator reporting it wrong. I was being facetious but I have not noticed any unusual battery drain. On N when I used Strava and gps for 3 hours or so I'd end up with about 55% left and then plug in for a quick charge. On O I wound up with 67% left which was pretty good. After a few days I think there are some things that are better but overall about the same as N.
I've had it today where the screen on time in the battery stats is stuck. So it's been reading 1hr 15min screen on time regardless of how much I use it... Something is a bit off with battery reporting it seems
Regarding the double sound, this is what I have discovered:
1) Go to Twitter app and set the notification for no sound
2) Go to settings/apps/Twitter, select notifications. You will see a bunch of granular notification settings. Once I made the desired setting there, no more double sounds and the tone is what I desired.

If you do not mind sharing, how you restore all your apps data and phone settings in 10-15 mins?
I have had several issues with the final O release. I updated OTA straight from beta and even factory reset without restoring data and apps.
Definitely having the Gboard microphone issue.
Was also having a lot of wifi connectivity issues. The phone would randomly not connect to several wifi networks and started dropping wifi once connected alot.
Battery life is also atrocious especially when navigating. I used maps for 20 minutes with the screen off and had nearly a 20% drain.
I contacted project fi and received a replacement device which I'm going to keep at 7.1.2 for the time being.
Incidentally the beta worked perfectly nearly for months. All this started after the final OTA to the production release.
I've tried everything but notifications are delayed or not received until I wake up the phone. Gmail is completely broken and I have to manually refresh it most times. WhatsApp is infrequent and Google Voice is broken too. But this seems to be happening more frequently on wifi.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to solve this?
same problem here....

I'm also having this problem, which is a real pain.
Yup, whatsapp notifications don't stay on lockscreen.. show up then dissapear
The problem still persists so I sent an email to the Indian customer support since my model an Indian International one. Let's see what happens.
I'm in contact with vivo support on messenger, but after a couple of logs uploaded, they still have no clue of what's happening. I'll wait next update and if no improvement, i'll get a new phone.
Maybe you could help as well with some logs for them to check, search for VIVOGLOBAL on messenger

I don't use messenger but it's pretty obvious what the problem is. It's right there in the Changelog "reduced system power consumption in the locked standby screen". In this case they've managed to somehow break both wifi and data access for whitelisted apps while the phone is locked. First thing they should do is check the functionality of the whitelist and apps locked in recent.
I think the reduced consumption was introduced to fix the high consumption from the previous FW.
I noticed too a bettery drain and high temperature of the phone, they fixed it after 1 week if I remember well.

Yes. The upgrade to Android 10 screwed up battery consumption but they've broken something else with this update.

Anyone found any additional config that corrects this?
Hello all, any update from Vivo support on notifications issue? Or any temporary fix to avoid this
I received an update to version 8.10.5 yesterday. Whatsapp notifications came today without delay during work. Battery consumption was 25% after 10 hours

Do you know any workaround or ways for downgrading?
One of the possible workaround is to
download push notification fixer app, set the interval to be one minute, then add notification fixer app to whistlist, autostart, high battery consumption.
By doing that, I am able to at least get some notification within 15 minutes (although not instantly, but better than it was).
I was not aware of update interval. I would appreciate if you could share the experience on when to receive the next update.

Thanks for your reply It'd be great if you could share how you install Gapps for the Chinese version. I'd go for the Chinese version for faster update and maintenance update.

Thanks for the comment, I would appreciate if you could provide the following before I consider resetting my phone.
Are you on PD1805F_EX_A_8.10.1 and experienced notification before?
Does "sometime lag" means the application not running smoothly or notification lag?

Yes I am on same version and lag means yes as you said some time notification will be delayed....not like no notification
And all applications are running very smooth I don't have any issue on that
