this release works only with proximity sensors, this is a minimal version of our application, but the next update (will need a least 1 month) will works even without proximity sensors and it will contain a new function (sense lock screen with full weather animations that will looks 100% like the stock sense lockScreen, this will be the first real sense lockScreen),so please keep an eye on our thread.

Thanks! Now it's ok.
Good to lock but unlock is unstable (sometimes reactive, long or inoperable) and home key can still unlock screen...
Great app, very useful, dude. I have detected these problems:
You have little translation errors (Préférences-->Preferences; secondes -->seconds)
Can you reduce the sensibility? If your pocket isn't very tight, your phone can be unlocked and cause problems.
There is a lag if you are using the CPU Governors Smartass and InteractiveX. I think you can't fix this, but would be better if you put a notice about this potential problem.
Tested on Gingerbread 2.3.7 (Xperia X8, custom kernel).
Testing now, will use throughout tomorrow and provide feedback in the evening. Really great idea for an app.

So, tested it on my Galaxy Nexus (Maguro/GSM, CM10 Stable). At the moment it seems to be a bit unstable, no FC, but sometimes it doesn't really work.
The first time I switched it on, my home button couldn't bring me to the home screen, just flickered and still on the screen of the app. Only back button or app switcher worked.
Would be nice if you put a option (yes/no) for a notification icon on the status bar.
Is it possible to use the proximity sensor for switching on again or does it drain battery too much?
By the way, if you need translations, I could offer German
EDIT: Tested app version seems to be version 1.0 as shown in the app info. Please add a version number to your downloads and somewhere in the app for easier comparison. And as always, if it is not to much effort for you, please upload also to Google Play, so all installations get your updates quickly.
Works very responsively. A few transityion errors for me and the shake to unlock is a little off.
Tested on HTC One S S4 4.0.3 ICS
Initial use is great. I like the idea of being able to pull phone out and unlocking without any input from me. Check what I'm after and replace in pocket, and locking again with out any input from the user.
Things I will be watching the next few days are unwanted wake ups and battery drain.
Would like to see this stick after rebooting. As it is now, you must start service with every reboot.

Hi Steph310,
you said unlocking is unstable, with which values on the "unlock time out" menu ?
home key should unlock screen only when the phone is out of you pocket,is it?
(when the phone is covered ,screen should go off again)

it is normal that CPU Governors(Smartass) causes problems, the low frequency while screen off can cause such problems
"If your pocket isn't very tight, your phone can be unlocked and cause problems." ==> it should work with ~5 centimeters of height, this is related to the proximity sensor's limitation(but i think it is enough)

The app works flawlessly, but at a point it is too much. I, sometimes rest my finger over the sensor when using the phone in landscape, and it turns the screen off.
(Search on where the sensor stays on Sony Xperia S).
I know it is a beta testing now, but both the UI and the icons need an update.
In summary: Works flawlessly; the idea with it is a no go for me and my phone; UI and icons needs update.

Hi
This is an Auto Screen Locker program which rely on Proximity Sensor.
you guys may love it.
>>old version!View attachment PoxLocker2.7.apk<<
>>newer version in the second page!:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=11772475&postcount=19
This program can prevent pressing buttons when you put your cell phone in the pocket
Note:What if
Can't unlock?
restart your phone or give your phone a call.
Can't uninstall?
You have to stop this program by uncheck the first checkbox("Use sensor depended locker") before uninstall this program.
in newer version, you can uninstall the program from the menu of this program!
Not working?
Make sure your phone's system is Froyo or above.
if you restart your cell phone, please run the program again.
I upload a clip about how to use this screen lock on youtube
Any feedbacks?
thanks for tha app
Just testing now... seems to work fine and doesn't lock the screen when on a call which was the only thing I was concerned about...
Only thing left to test is battery life..

It is programed not to lock screen when a call is incoming, otherwise it will lock the screen and you will miss that call.
But , anyway, your idea maybe useful to prevent using cell phones when driving.
So,if you still think that lock the screen when a call is incoming is necessary, I can add a check box for that function.

Brilliant app, this is just what I've been looking for!
I think every phone should come with something like this, and if battery wasn't such a concern with smart phones, it'd be awesome to have the reverse work too, and the phone turn on when nothing is sensed.
I've only been using for a little while, I'll let you know how it affects my battery after a few days.
Edit: I thought it wasn't locking the keys, but that was another program I started using together with it - No Lock

PoxLocker3.apk is the newer version.
in the newer version
you can set the program auto start
you can select lock delay time (how long you block the sensor)
you can select third party screen lockers
in the menu:
you can setup a white list(when the program selected in the list is running, sensor lock will not working, but the onekeylock still works)
you can easly uninstall the software
OneKeyLock.apk is a program which can call the service of PoxLocker to directly lock screen
Just tried your app. It's really great and works wonders. I do, however, find it to be too sensitive even when I set it at the least sensitive level. Maybe you could change it to be even less sensitive or make the sensor detect an object at an even closer distance if possible. Pox Locker paired with No Lock is truly a godsend.
poxlocker3 still gives me massive partial wake lock..no wonder my batt has been draining like nobody's business.. even though i ticked the 'turn off sensor after lock' option..
I've uninstalled it...
The app is now on google play, get it there if you want it:

Since this app is still very much in development you can see it as a donation, but a donation that gives you access to all the future development and features of this app. It will also give you start on boot and unlimited actions.
# What it does #
Basically what it does is it makes it possible to launch androids taskswitcher (recent apps) or call another action such as home, back, menu or turn screen off by waving your finger past the proximity sensor. You can also set an action to run when your proximity sensor is covered. With a little practice this really makes multitasking much faster. There is now also actions for media like volume, play pause and such, aswell as a flashlight (only tested on galaxy note, probably wont work on all devices) The media-actions are not properly implemented yet, so all actions may not work on all devices.
There is now some other features aswell.
Smart keep screen on will keep your screen on as long as you hold the phone in your hand. When you put it down, it will let the screen go off. I have only tested it on a galaxy note. Feedback on this would be welcomed.
You can now also run an action to keep the screen on permanently, or atleast until you run the action again.
Feel free to try it out.
# Instructions #
Configure actions for each number of waves up to six. The action you choose will then be executed when you wave.
You can also configure an action to launch when you cover your proximity sensor and for when the device is shaken.
If you have trouble with the gestures and smartswitcher recognizes the wrong gesture, you can adjust the gesture sensitivity. If you put this on low, the response and gesture recognition will be fast, but you will have to wave fast also. On high, the opposite is true. If you are not Lucky Luke like me, medium or high should work.
# Planned features #
Multiple actions for one event
Actions: toggle wifi, mobile data, bluetooth, launch apps, etc
Device facedown event
"Franticwave", action for when you wave past all six waves and then stop.
Suggestions, anyone?
# Known issues #
If the gestures stops working, particularly after using the screen off action, the gesturecounter probably consumed some magic mushrooms and forgot to count the waves and got all confused. You can either restart smartswitcher or wave until it starts picking them up again.
# Other #
The powerconsumption of the proximity sensor is extremely low so the impact on your battery should be fairly low. Did anyone using this notice a reduction of battery life, and I mean that in a more scientific way than just checking under battery in your system settings? Was it 5 minutes or 1 hour?
Zenblom made a video of smartswitcher:
He also compiled a list on working devices:
# Confirmed working devices #
- Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000
- Samsung galaxy s3 i9300 international version
- Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 P6800
- Sony Ericsson xperia neo v

# Changelog #
Version 1.1.7 2012-08-25
-Added cm10/JB compatible recent apps option.
Smartswitcher behaves really badly in cm10. Since everything worked great in cm9 that I just ran ten minutes ago I am not sure how to handle this. A use at your own risk warning for cm10 maybe?
Version 1.1.6 2012-08-23
- Added non root actions: Toggle airplane mode, launch browser, launch calculator, launch messages, send message, launch camera, launch contacts. Also end call, but it did not work properly so its set invisible for now.
Decided to freeze the features here, or this thing is never going on google play. If you cant find something seriously wrong with this version until tomorrow, its going on play. After that, I will continue developing the app but the updates will come via google play.
The smart keep feature... I may have to scrap that idea. I cant get it to work reliably. It can be made to keep the screen on on very small movements but then it wotn turn the scren off instead. Will fiddle a bit more before I give up. Its now set quite sensitive so it may not turn your screen off properly now, if so you can just press the powerbutton or disable the damn thing
If you have any ideas on how to make this work better, please let me know!
Version 1.1.5 2012-08-21
- Fixed the bug that caused to ui to crash or slow down when you were shaking the device. Should work fine now, so there should now be no need to close the ui when trying actions any more.
- The smartswitcher listening button will now completely (hopefully) unregister sensorlisteners so if you press this button there should be no batterydrainage at all.
- Made the handling of sensors a bit more effective. Now if you have no action on any event that need the accelerometer, it wont register and use battery power. If you set none on accelerometerevents the sensorlistener will unregister and stop using battery. The same goes for the proximity sensor.
I was hoping that the users with a glowing proximitysensor will tell me if I got this to work right
Version 1.1.4 2012-08-20
- Toggle wifi, bluetooth, rotation lock, ringer volume, audio volumeactions added. The do not need root and does things the right way. Audiovolume does not seem to work, will check why.
- Added something I called quick actions menu, but the first time its launched you may wonder why I did not name it slow actions menu After its loaded once it should work faster, it could slow down every once in a while, I will fix this. Note: if you cancel this menu strange things could happen, I forgot to implement oncancel. The plan is that you will be able to make these favouritemenus yourself and add the actions you want, and trigger your new menu on any event. I need a database handler som I have to fix this first. I never intended for this app to do all of this stuff, if I did I would have done things differently from the beginning. I noticed that this menu is counted as a pro action so you can only use it 20 times before it resets, sorry, did not mean for that to happen. For now there is only a few actions hardcoded in there.
Please close Smartswitcher settingsscreen before you start playing with the actions, strange things can happen if you dont. This is betastuff, so you cant expect things to be perfect even though I do my best for them to be as good as possible
Version 1.1.3 2012-08-18
- Added action keep device alive. If you run this, your device will not sleep until next time you run it, period. It wont activate if the device is already being kept awake by the smart keep screen on function, have not tested this very carefully. If you feel a burst of short vibrations, the device is being kept awake. If you use this, dont forget to turn it off, or it will drain your battery.
- Adjusted the shakedetection. It should now work much better and should notmake doubleactions. Try it and tell me if it is better or worse.
- Adjusted the smart keep screen on function to a little less sensitive. Sometimes it did not turn the screen of because i set the sensitivity too high so it detected movement event when it was fairly still. Try it and tell me if I made it better or worse.
- Added support for up to six waves by request. Tested it some, it seemed to work fine.
Version 1.1.2 2012-08-17
- Added action flashlight. Will probably not work on all devices, but it works on my note atleast. Will add more variants for other devices.
- Added EXPERIMENTAL Smart keep screen on function. There is no adjustable settings yet, just on and off. You can try it by setting your screen timeout at a low value like 15 seconds. As long as you hold your phone in your hand, the screen should keep on. If you put it down the screen should go off in 30 seconds or so. I adjusted it to work on my device, but that does not mean it will work good on yours. There is no settings for it yet. Try it, if you dont like it, disable it. Will also spend some time on next version with the shake detection, Its teally not what I wanted it to be. It works, but barely.
Version 1.1.1 2012-08-16
- Added shakedetection. You can now set an action for shake. Note: Will cause the ui to crash, press backbutton to close smartswitcher settings before using it and it should work fine.
Version 1.1.0 2012-08-15
- No visible changes, but lots of changes in the code. I hate spagetticode, so I spent some time removing and rewriting things. Sensorcovered will now really have zero delay if you set that.
- Made the number of proactions allowed to 20, as I said I had done. It seems it was only 10
Version 1.0.9 2012-08-13
- Fixed sensor covered, now it wont trigger any action if you remove your finger within the delay time.
- Added a BUNCH of actions. Some will work on your device, some will not. (Depending on rom, installed apps etc) The new features are for the pro version (Yes I will make a pro version.) I am a nice guy so everything you had before still works, plus you can use the profeatures for a total of 20 times, after that they will reset to no action. You are free to select pro features again for another 20 times. Sorry about this, but I have spent quite a few hours on this app now, and I would not mind getting a few bucks for my work. Please tell me what price you find fair for this app, if any price at all
- Made it so that gestures will work on active phonecall. This means actions like for instance hangup will actually hangup the call. Sensor covered should not interfere with anything now.
Version 1.0.8 2012-08-11
Note: Remaining bug, sensor covered works but the delaysetting does not do what it is supposed to do. That is, even if you remove your finger from the sensor within the delay time, the action will still trigger. Sorry about that, will fix. Too tired now
- Fixed the bug that caused settings to not save after a while. Should work fine now.
- Added configurable settings for sensor covered so you can now set any action for that event. If you have a device with slow sensor you should now be able to launch recent apps by setting sensor covered delay to 0 and action to recent apps. You can now also set screen off as action on any wave.
- Fixed vibration feedback for sensor covered event.
- Removed Screen off setting as it is no longer needed.
- fixed some other bits and pieces and cleaned up the code.
Version 1.0.7 2012-08-09
- Completely rewrote all of the code for taking care of actions. If I am lucky this will take care of the strange superuser permissions error. Unfortunately this way will mean an ever so slightly slower response, but if it turns out this way works better, I will see if I can speed it up some.
- Lots of bugfixes. Wavesettings and gestures off in landscape SHOULD work properly now. So SHOULD the screen off feature.
- Added button to stop Smartswitcher from doing anything at all. Now, please tell me what I have broken this time
Version 1.0.6 2012-08-08
- Added settings for all gestures. You can now disable/enable/configure individual gestures. I did test this, but not very carefully. I should stop doing this so late at night. Please tell me if you find problems.
Version 1.0.5 2012-08-07
- Added option to disable gestures when phone is in landscapemode. Now you dont have to kill smartswitcher if you find it unusable in landscape and then start it again when back in portrait. Let me know if it does not work as intended.
- Changed the vibrationfeedback on recognized gesture to a more gentle level.
- Find my sensor-mode is gone. Kind of useless feature anyway, good riddance to bad feature.
Version 1.0.4 2012-08-06
- Wave once for recent apps, twice for menu, three times for back, four for home. No customizable settings for this yet, I need to sleep now Oh, I broke find my sensor-mode.
Version 1.0.2 2012-08-05
- Configurable delay for the screenoff when sensor covered-feature added
Version 1.0.1: 2012-08-04
- Disableoption for screenoff "bug"
- Changed Get the feel-mode to Find my sensor-mode, hopefully this is not as confusing
More coming. If you have any ideas or suggestions, let me know.

The fault may be mine, but just to be overly clear, you have to wave your finger past the sensor AND back again within a relatively small amount of time. Maybe you did that.
What is your phone running?
Hi,
I've been testing both an earlier version and current version and it works fine for me. Could be that I'm also running paranoid (v0.5) on a note.
I shot a video on an earlier version:

Is this battery friendly? I love the idea and if it doesn't drain my battery quicker than usual I'll be using it instead of the long click of home button.
Please add an option to hide the notification icon. I don't think there is a need for it as this is a set it once and forget about it app. You don't go changing the settings every day.
Thank you and good luck with this awesome project!
EDIT: btw, I'm running stock rooted 4.0.4 and this works great!

Thats a bit strange. It worked for a previous poster on LRG if I am not mistaken. I don´t mean to offend you, but are you sure you are doing it right? Set the sensitivity to high and try a few more times. If you enable the somewhat strangely named Get the feel mode, the phone will vibrate a little when it "sees" your finger, thats just to help you find the sensor. The Vibrattion setting will make the phone vibrate a little longer when you waved correctly. If you cant get it to work, let me know and I will try to help you get it working.

Thats a bit strange. It worked for a previous poster on LRG if I am not mistaken. I don´t mean to offend you, but are you sure you are doing it right? Set the sensitivity to high and try a few more times. No matter how I slavery finger over it (fast or slow), it just vibrates and nothing happens....I'm on the stock LRG kernel.

You must de-select "get the feel"mode in the app menu, otherwise out only vibrates
Carefully crafted on my Galaxy Note, for your eyes only
I installed it minutes ago,
and it works great.
Switched to high.
I'm on classic rom v3.
Only thing is, deactivate vibration and feel mode, but still feedback with vibration.

Not working on cleanote rom really like the idea though!
Will be keeping up to date with this for sure!

I'll keep it short for now and update this topic start as needed.
Here you can find instructions on downloading & installing a preliminary version of Cyanogenmod 10 for Alcatel OT-995.
I'm fairly happy with the progress I've made recently, though it should not be considered stable. Some features are known to be broken, for others it's your job to point out missing functionality.

Please read the installation instructions carefully
Most basic device functionality should be working. A list of known issues (incomplete):
Video mode camera overlay may bug; workaround: launch regular camera, switch to video
Occasional artifcats on window transitions
Hardware video decoding is unavailable, use MX Player or VLC instead.
Not implemented: HDMI out, FM radio
The custpack partition is used to store /system/app, that's why a separate CWM images is required to install CM10 releases. This also means it's backup/restore functionality is currently broken. Advanced backup might allow you to just backup/restore /data though.
You may mention any broken functionality here, but I prefer receiving an issue report here, as that allows me to keep track of things more easily.
Do check whether your specific issue has already been reported, and try to be as detailed as possible.
You should be comfortable flashing/recovering your device - if not, this might not be for you yet - wait until we smoothen things out
Bring on the feedback. I'm sure I missed something in the guides or release.
Disclaimer: I'm still working on a best-effort basis, every now and then my spare time is severely limited..
Nice - nice indeed.
many thanks for taking time and developing for ot 995.
it was just today that i had installed ics and now this??? my lucky day...
anyway, will help you in reporting bugs.... keep rocking.....
extra great news ! Iuss, i'm downloading it right now and flashing it Thank you very much for this release (even though is preliminary)
EDIT: I flashed it. Booting was quick. I was setting the phone and i restarted the phone.
So at first touch everything looks nice
- Scrolling is a bit strange (is scroll downward the screen goes up).
- The phone is charging and the LED is not lit.
- Camera works (photos, video, and panorama with some greenish overlay).
- Data not working. Confirmed.
- Wifi works
Tnx again iuss!
Thanks for the hard work, I'm sure this will be WAY better than Alcatel's ICS release. Just love me some jellybeans :silly:
Just booting it up now. Nice boot logo, I haven't seen that one before. Yours?
Yes, thanks very very much!

Very nice indeed.
Testing it right now
First of all. Fantastic job! Well done! I tested the rom.
My experience was
# My camera and video worked pretty good. It took pictures and video was working. Maybe a little problem with the focus on Video. And some greenish with the transition between taken picture and camera.
# Wifi, Phone works
# No Data/3G
# Led Backlight keys dosen't work when u wake the phone up from sleep. But if u change the light settings the Keys lights up, and works.
# Multi touch works good and responsive.
Thanks alot an keep up the good work!
It seems very nice, but I'm confused because I was asked to unlock my sim again which was done when I bought it months ago, and it didn't even work with that code. What could be the cause, and would it work if I went back to ICS?

You should adjust the settings for your screen brightness. What i did was that I used the quick settings widget. There's an option for brightness click that one, and the backlight keys should light up.
Awesome start...
Iuss, CM10 is great. It has a few quirks, but so far I am loving it.
I have run into one issue, I can't create a Google account. I ran recovery, booted CM10, and went to create my Google account under System settings > Accounts and there is no option for Google, just Corporate and Email. Am I missing something?
I was able to manually download Titanium and restore many of my apps, but several won't load. That's too be expected though. But being able to create a Google account is pretty important to me.
If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

Did you flash gapps? If not do that, then see if you're still not able to start your account. I flashed it before I booted for the first time and not only did I get prompted to start/login to an account, most of my apps were reinstalled.

tumaini418, yes, I did (I followed iuss' instructions including the download links). Another odd thing that has happened is I have lost the ability to access SD Card through USB.
Fortunately I backed ICS before setting CM10, so I was able to Recover back to ICS, and I suddenly have access to my SD Card again. I'm going to stay with ICS for tomorrow as I must have a working phone, but I'll try ICS again later this weekend.
Could you say me if there is a CM9 build which should be totally functional?! It help me to wait CM10!

That was supposed to work, seems I had my brightness control set to 'half' (or whatever it is) - then it does work. Will replace the proprietary liblights - it appears to be broken and/or depend on framework hacks.

I'm confused - what do you mean by unlocking? A network lock, or the SIM PIN?

iuss concerning the phone asking for a sim pin. I got the same thing when switching from airplane mode. It's a popup. I tried to enter a pin I used in the screen lock before, but of course that wasn't it. It's very confusing because my sim has never had a pin to unlock it.

A Light: Flashlight 2.6
LED/screen light 1-Click ad-free.
Flashlight with no interface. To turn on/off - click the app icon.
Works with locked screen.
Vibrates every minute & turns off automatically after 10 minutes to save battery life (you can change it in the settings).
Lights by LED or screen if device has no LED.
A-Light is free and contains no ads.
Please leave a nice review and share the flashlight with friends, if you like it.

Need advice. A-Light has a vibration at the start to avoid accidental activation. But some people find it annoying in flashlight and a waste of batteries.
Should I remove it? Does it annoy you? )

1 click action is great! Set up to light up on my.
However, I would like the ability to turn off vibrate. Can you include that?
Why does this app need access/permission to take pictures/videos?

Thank you for the feedback!
If I add the "settings" to turn off vibrate it wouldn't be 1-Click any more Vibration has been added to prevent accidental turn on the flashlight. Some people need this.
About permissions - the led is a part of a camera. Android does not give access to the flash separately, only the camera entirely.
A-Strobe
Please check my new app (in the same style):
A-Strobe: the simplest LED stroboscope.
Switch on / off by pressing the icon. Frequency adjustable by volume buttons.
Works with locked screen.
Test period expired. Now free version available only for some contries.
Paid version. $1

Thank you.
I've changed my mind, free version available again in all contries. :good:
But if you install the A-Flashlight (similar app cost $1), I can drink an extra cup of coffee
Thanks!

Btw, L Speed still doesn't support notification categories (or how the hell is it called). I can only toggle them on or off completely, just like on previous versions of Android.
I mean, in Android O you can seperate notifications e.g. for settings applied on boot and error messages. Therefore users can disable error messages while keeping that "settings applied" notification.

Yes, exactly. I can add NotificationCategories but i have to make one app separated with different configs, so let it be like this for now
When Google release API we will make it more compatible.

Switched to Balanced profile, battery was charging REALLY slowly. IDK, maybe it's not related to your app, but it's worth mentioning. UI wasn't snappy enough, too, but I was expecting that.
Additionaly, after boot, L Speed tweaks seem to be executed a lot later than time set in app (like one or two minutes later). However, that may be related to SuperSU. I read something about delaying things on boot due to problems with early (and the only) version that's there right now.
Will post more observations later tommorow, it needs time to test
Unexpected edit: Just tested charging, works fine now. Maybe reboot fixed it, before it phone became extremely sluggish. Screenshots show normal charging now.

@Paget96 Aggressive doze doesn't work well for me. I left phone in charger overnight and at the morning, after pressing power button, the screen stayed black and after like 3 seconds phone restarted. Doesn't have log, though.
Now rocking Light doze optimization, see how it's gonna hold up.
Balanced profile seems to do good job in increasing performance on DP3, however, I'm gonna test battery life further.
