Hi guys,
Am I mistaken or is this the last samsung note pro in the known universe to receive an update to lollipop? I understand it's been a long wait for all note pro users. Does anyone here have an idea when this particular model SM-P905 (baseband no: P905XXUANA7 build no: P905XXUANC3) will receive an update?

why wouldn't you use odin ?!

Unless I've missed something, the firmware for my specific model isn't available from sammobile, so I can't use odin to update.

I guess you don't have to flash a specific firmware since you have the international 905 model !!
Mine was from italy and i flashed UAE firmware without problems !!

Oh. I feel so newb (And I'm a tech guy...awkward....lol). Mine is running stock kitkat (4.4.2). I rooted it a while back, but so far, have not flashed it with any rom. Correct me if I'm wrong - international version means that all the LTE/radio bands are unlocked? I can't flash it with Deodex.Root.Xposed, as I'm not running stock lollipop. Which rom did u flash yours with?
Chris
You should be able to use Odin to flash any of the released 905 version lollipop updates from sammonbile. You will lose your root however.

Thanks for the link, however, I live in Australia, so according to sammobile, there's no lollipop firmware for this country:

Since your going to flash it yourself just choose any region (pick one thats on 5.1.1) and flash that. Then just change the language and time zone settings during set up and you should be good to go. Many US customers with the 905 used this method when other countries were getting the original 5.0.1 update before them. Worked fine.

Thanks for the info. Cool. I'll keep an eye out for 5.1.1. If I'm not mistaken, most are 5.0.2 at the moment, except AT&T.

Hi fellas, so i got a Metro Pcs GS7, but i'm kind of obsessive and it bothers me a lot having a device not meant for my carrier (T-Mobile), tried to flash T-Mobile G930T Firmware via odin, but it gave me an error at the end, so i flashed back G930T1 flash, any suggestions?
Appreciated!
Always could with any other Samsung' between the 2 carriers
Except that the locked bootloader on both carriers devices may cause a issue if you Odin one or the other .Its worth a try all it will do is fail if not .But i did this on metro s5 s4 and s6

It should work with no problems. I had a Sprint S7 and flashed T-mobile firmware to use on TMO and its been working great. All the US S7's are pretty much all the same except for the firmwares. So they should be fine.
Yes you can ... i have done couple with no issue make sure to check your download it might be bad ...
How did you do it cause there's no working T-Mobile firmware online right now all of them give you an error message.

I just flashed my Metro S7 with this Tmobile flash and it worked,
Odin BL,AP,CP, and CSC and Voila!!!!!
I went to best buy the Samsung rep did it for me, I tried to do it like I did with my s5,s6 from Metro and the file was corrupted
So ifi flash this on my metro phone, will a metro unlock via unlock all carry over to the T-Mobile version? Will it get T-Mobile update?

It works like a charm. I think it even unlocked the phone? My phone accepts T-Mobile sims without issue.

I used the method on galaxy7root.com . At the top of the page click root Qualcomm and everything you need is there.

Commented on the wrong post sorry
How can I flash the G930U firmware onto the G930T? Is it possible? I'm sorry, I've been out of the scene for a while.
Is it really worth rooting my phone to flash the T-Mobile ROM to get faster updates and have advanced messaging?

I'm moving my SM-920V from Verizon to Tmobile. My baseband version is currently specific to Verizon so when I switch will my future firmware updates be coming from Tmobile and will the baseband version change to reflect Tmobile?
I guess what I'm confused about is if I were to manually download and install a future firmware would I be looking for one that is Tmobile branded for my phone?

if you are going to change just sim card then you will never get updates from tmobile but if you change your cell phone to tmobile variant then you will get them.

That is what I was mainly wondering. So it sounds like it is safe to download the tmobile firmware for my model of S6 and install that firmware when I move to Tmobile? Or did you mean if I change out my actual phone (hardware) to a Tmobile variant?

Thanks, while it's downloading, I'll give it the good college try to try to find a current version online too but so many places are full of clickbait links that they're worthless.
I would *consider* signing up with sammobile but I hate to give any cc info out to online places like that.
I am on 955F. But latest update is available for my phone via over the air is version R16NW.G955FXXU4CRI5
Also i live in Canada and my phone is sim unlocked and using telus. Is this why I havnt recieved the newest update? Can i cross flash new G955F firmware using odin?
Can anyone answer me please?

Did you try to download the newest firmware via sammobile.com? Just tap your SM-G955XXX model and download the firmware, then flash it via ODIN.
But my question is can i flash any g955f firmware from any region?

Could you share the process with me?
and the thread died...
I've looked through threads of people doing the reverse of this. It's been a few years since I've had an android and was running nexus devices then. What's the process to flash an unlocked firmware on an AT&T locked 968U to the 968U1 firmware (assuming there aren't issues doing it)?
Are there any other pitfalls I need to be aware of prior to doing it other than the wifi calling?
If this is already posted somewhere else, please feel free to point me there. I didn't see any info about going from a carrier locked 968U to unlocked firmware.
Thanks in advance.

I just did this today went from TMB locked one to unlocked (For a family member) mine is unlocked. All went well no problems at all. Just download the U1 Firmware you want to flash and for CSC use home_csc (In ODin) so you can keep your data and probably the wifi calling feature too ( i did that all features are intact). Use the Odin and firmware from Ota and non Ota thread . Enjoy

What did you gain that made it worth it for you? Also, I'm on a Locked ATT/Firstnet Ultra and am wondering if flashing to an Unlocked Firmware would give me more control of my device.

If your on FirstNet I recommend that you stay on ATT branded software, I'm not sure if band 14 will work properly for you if you are on unlocked software. Thank you for your service!

You can get VoLTE back, but yeah, WiFi calling is not gonna happen.

I flashed the U1 firmware (ATJ3) onto my AT&T Note Ultra, then flashed the Home CSC from the AT&T U firmware. I have VoLTE and WiFi calling.
Help!
Hello all, I have a Note 20 Ultra 5g that is unlocked and I'm looking to flash the original ATT firmware for this device.
Having this unlocked version on Firstnet has been nothing but problems and I don't have access to band 14 or wifi calling.
I see this thread is a little old but if anyone could help me out or send me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it!
I have rooted some of my older phones several several years ago so I think I could pick this back up pretty quickly. I know over the years things seem to get easier and have probably changed quite a bit since I've last done something like this.
Thanks in advance!

AT&T hasn't released any "official" firmware for the Note 20 series.
Since Samsung firmware is multi CSC, just flash any firmware with the same build number as the AT&T variant and use your AT&T SIM card.
Go to this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/ota-and-non-ota-firmware-for-n986u-and-n986u1.4143833/
Make sure you know what device you have, U or U1. Then grab the appropriate version.
Fir AT&T U devices, N986USQU2DUCA or N986USQU2DUCA will work.
For AT&T U1 devices, N986U1UEU2DUCB is the most recent version.
