Hey guys!
I have four people connected to my wi-fi at home but one of them is sharing the internet with other people by using bluetooth tethering. I have access to his phone and i'm wondering if it is possible to disable bluetooth (or bluetooth tethering) permanently, is there a way to do that?
Thanks!

Do you have root access on that phone?

I don't have the phone at the moment (i'm at work) but i'm pretty sure that the phone is a Samsung J5, without a custom rom.
Founded a solution. I just froze Bluetooth Share using Rom Toolbox Pro, now the bluetooth remains disabled no matter what.

Any one know if the AR Drone work with the tf101 ?
well, it looks like nobody knows..
or they're all busy flying their own
There is an android app, but if it works on HC?
Also, I read that you need to enable Ad-Hoc on android devices? (and for that you need to root it)...
I started looking for a Drone last week, 300 euros for a toy is a little bit to much... I hope to get my hands on one soon
Ar Drone!
Hey there,
Ive a AR drone myself, but never tried it actually.
I Think it will work, on a Rooted and Adhoc enabled TF101.
I will try it out, and will inform you.

Please let me know if ad-hoc really is required
You shouldn't need to root it. AFAIK, the drone functions as a WiFi hotspot, and my TF has always been able to connect to my phone's hotspot without any issues.

my ar drone works very good whit my rooted (revolver 2.1.1 rom) transformer!
simply connect (ad-hoc) and use ar.pro to control your drone.

I know, my tf connects to my apollo when I use it as a hotspot, but that's not ad-hoc... the th thinks that the phone is just a plain router... I don't know how the AR Drone works, so.... that's what I would like to know...
I'm 99% positive that an unrooted TF will not connect successfully to an ad-hoc network.
That's been my experience and what I've gathered from the forum.
So yes....rooting required.
Don't have an ARDrone (want one) but apparently firmware 1.7.4 allows the Drone to be configured as a WiFi access point. http://meavydev.co.uk/ARDrone.html

So that means no root required...
I don't have a problem with rooting my tf, but if I don't have to...
But whatever, I just want one XD
Thanks everyone, i wanted to know cause i might just get one..
Hi! I am just wondering if someone know how I can wake up my computer by using Splashtop app through 3G or other wifi network.
I have successfully wakening up my computer by being at the same wifi with my computer (lan), but it wont work when I connect my tf300 through 3G or other networks. I have also been able to forward my ports so I can remote my computer through 3G or other networks.
So do anyone know how I can wake my computer through other networks?
instead i've been downgrading to splashtop v1 coz in v2 it wont work.

Go into the splashtop streamer settings to advanced settings and all the port info should be there, make sure that ip address and port is used for the port forwarding

Perform port forwarding (both TCP/UDP for ports 6783~6785, and ports 7, 9) for your Streamer on your home router.

indeed it does and i've test it with port check app and result is open, gud news is when i tried yesterday it works.!! but only one times. dunno maybe the 3g network here is lil bit slow i think so the magic packet were sended too long.
Hi, I want to do wifi tethering and be on that wifi wlan network same time with my device, so I can send and receive udp packages to my laptop(connected to device hotspot).

Im running 5.0.2 lollipop and the device is rooted.
Device is a Samsung Galaxy S4 mini.

You should try WiFi Direct option under the WiFi Settings.

Looks like it´s impossible to the device (being wifi hotspot) to be in the same network than the hotspot clients with the current technology.
All I need is to be able to send/receive udp datagrams to the clients connected to the hotspot.
Will this work ?

Hello I'm sorry if this is in the wrong spot, but I am new to these forms and I have a simple question about creating an access point on my tablet. My Lenovo tablet is rooted and I've been searching for an app that will create an access point.
What I want to do is use my wifi and then use my tablet to connect to that wifi and then use the tablet as a wifi extender. I know they have fqrouter2, but that is for any os under 4.4. I'm currently on 4.4.4. Any suggestions for an app that can turn my android device into a wifi extender?
Thank you in advance.

Have you tried PDAnet for tablets, or Foxfi?
Sent from my SM-S903VL using Tapatalk
Yes I have tried Pdanet. That will disconnect me off of my current wifi and try to host a hotspot off of my own cell phone data.

I don't think it's possible to have both WiFi and WiFi hotspot turned on simultaneously.
What I do though, is connect my phone to the WiFi, then use the Bluetooth tethering feature on the phone to create the access point. That could work for you, if all your devices support Bluetooth tethering.
The range isn't as good as your WiFi router, but its roughly as good as the WiFi AP you'd create with your phone/tablet
There use to be an app that was called Fqrouter2 that did. Unfortunately my worthless Vita doesn't support Bluetooth tethering for internet access.

It allows you to keep your watch connected to your phone when out of BT range but under the same wifi network.

very limited....
... and you can install created watchfaces and transfer music from your PC/Mac to your watch (also with iPhone).
Also for apps like Spotify or should cloud pro or the YouTube app forgot the name, you can use it without using your phone to transfer data and just use WiFi. There are many uses for the WiFi its nice to have the option instead of not having it at all

I haven't investigated but I think the watch will not independently connect to any WiFi network that you phone has not first connected to. From what I understand, it can remember WiFi networks that it had connected to through your phone, but has no protocol to connect independently without the help of your phone! That's crazy!
