GoSMS, S3, and Floating Notifications

I am running the stock Samsung 4.3 rom on my Verizon Galaxy S3.* I use Floating Notifications to manage my app notifications.*As Android 4.3 now incorporates the Android Listener Service to handle notifications, I am able to dismiss notifications from my notification bar by dismissing the Floating Notification for the corresponding app.* I have tried multiple SMS apps including stock, and this feature works fine.* However, when I clear the Floating Notification for GoSMS, the message icon on the status bar blinks (where as the rest would go away) and stays in the notification drop down, making me pull down the notification bar and manually swipe it away.* I can also use the Floating Notification to open up*the message within GoSMS, and it still shows I have a new*message (and the LED blinks) until I go in and manually dismiss from notification drop down.* Is this a GoSMS issue?
Thanks!

It might be. I haven't used GoSMS in about a year but is there a notification setting that may be overriding Floating Notification? Which other sms apps have you tried because if those all work perfectly fine then I'd have to put the blame on GoSMS barring an overriding setting. I'm using Floating Notifications and it works great for just about every app I've used it with however I've only been using stock sms on JB TW and AOSP JB/KitKat.

Apps notifications disappearing

Good evening at all,
I've already tried to do a forum search, but I did not find an answer.
I use Nova Launcher Pro.
I have a problem with notifications. Notifications work in whatsapps and sms, I see them on the top bar.
Instead, in other apps (calendar, inbox by gmail, netatmo security for example) are not seen. They appear quickly on the screen and then disappear.
Can someone help me?
I've already tried to modify the power saving options, but it does not change anything, even by changing the "special access" menu.
Thank you
guiduz
Have you gone into Nova settings and down to Notification badges, tap that and down on the bottom you will see TeslaUnread and enable the apps you want to get notifications from?
Hello, thanks for the answer.
My problem is of not having notification icons in the status bar for applications (for example the notifications of Netatmo, the security camera app ).
I have notification icons only for messaging programs (like whatsapp, sms etc.). For other apps, I have the only notifications that appear on the screen and soon disappear.
Thanks

UP!
Please help me!
About phantom vibrations, today I was in front of my pc when I heard a vibration without notification on the phone and I noticed on the PC that I just had an email, so the ghost notification was due to the arrival of the email!
Im having the same issue, I get a vibration, and a quick flash of a notification.
So if my phone is in my pocket, by the time I get it out the notification will be gone.
Text message, whats app and gmail all seem to work
I dont get google voicemail notifications, group me notifications, let go notifications and a few others...help?

Pop up preview problem

I cant see no more pop-up previews of txt messages, whatsapp etc... I have enabled all notification setting but I can see notification only in status bar and lockscreen. So frustrating..
EDIT: after factory reset, pop ups working normally.

Enable banner notification for received e-mails?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S8+ running Android 8.0.
I use the Samsung Email v5.0.x app.
When I'm using the phone, if I receive an e-mail, it doesn't appear from the top of the screen in a temporary banner-style notification.
I simply hear the audio notification, the icon appears in the notification bar and the notification appears in the notification tray.
Some other apps produce a banner notification (e.g. Messenger).
I don't see any options in App Notification settings.
Any idea how to enable this?

Android Notification Dot ?!

The Dot that is to show that there are unread messages, emails etc. disappears once the notification is swiped away from the notifications bar. To my understanding the Dot should remain even if the notifications is swiped away as the Dot would show I have unread messages unless I have manually marked it as read from the notification (this is how it is in Huawei, App Badge).
This is not well implemented in OnePlus as not sure what's the purpose of removing the Dot along with notification from the Status bar. Removing notifications from the notifications bar declutters the area but removing all notifications from everywhere does not make sense. This way one would not know there are unread messages unless and until apps are opened, and if something important it would definitely have already been missed.
Is this same in the Lineage OS ROM ?
