Hi All,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 - International version - G930F. Currently running latest XSA firmware (Android 7.0 build DQBH).
The phone is not rooted.
I cannot connect to WiFi in my office.
No issues connecting to WiFi at home.
I have tried static IP instead of DHCP. It will then connect to access point but without internet.
Any idea how to resolve this?

Ask tech support at your office, might need the IP of the gateway, or try using a public DNS like Googles
Likely something to do with their network rather than your phone

Maybe you need to ask your IT person to clear all mac add that are on the AP.

WiFi connection reported in settings with office wifi network - says "Connected", shows 4 bars, but no data passes - no internet data, no Speedtest.net connection, Talkatone can't connect to its servers - this on same network that my Galaxy Note, and my iPad 3 connect without difficulty.
My Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 connects to my wifi home network fine, and works fine when tethered to my Galaxy Note.
I am baffled by why it says connected but no data will pass - maybe a firewall issue, but why do Note and iPad have no trouble?
I can connect to a different wifi network in our building, and data passes normally.
Any thoughts/comments/remedies?
Thanks!
This is probably not going to help much, but I had the same problem trying to tether to my phone. My solution was to install an app on the phone that configured hotspot in an infrastructure mode.
In your case, maybe your IT person can offer assistance?
Does the wireless network you're connected to have MAC filtering? I've had that happen before where the device will say it is connected and have an IP, but can't do anything because the MAC address isn't in the allowed list.

The IT assistant found that his Android phone also wouldn't pass data. I will pass along this info, maybe the chief IT guy can sort this out.
Thanks!
Hi there, I have a problem.
Yesterday afternoon I updated my tablet P6200 Odin v1.85 to version 4.1.2 CSC: SER, and I found the problems regarding the wifi connection.
The tablet tries to connect to it by inserting the credentials I get "saved, protected" and does not connect to the network.
I tried to change WEP WPA WPA2 none, no solution.
I tried to restart / reset the router to its initial settings without solution.
I tried to assign a static address, no solution.
I've tried changing the transmission channel of the router (eg 2, 3, 6, 8), no solution.
I tried to use the application WiFix manager, no solution.
I do not know what to do.
- P6200XXMF1_P6200OXEMF2_P6200XXMC3_HOME.tar.md5 is the firmware version 4.1.2 Russia
- DSL-G624T is the code for the D-link router.
The problem may be that the CSC does not match?! (Russia vs Italy -> SER vs ITV)
Any Idea?
I did open a similar thread like 15 days ago, but the device was a GT-P6210.
Try testing a different brand of Wifi Router, like a Linksys, Cisco or any other except D-Link. I was able to connect my device on Linksys routers without problems
There is a known issue with Samsung JB and DLINK routers, that did happen on S3 and S4, but it seems that the good ol' GTP will share the same fate

Not really, let's wait for US version ofthe rom in order to check if there is a fix with the Wi-Fi issue.
You can also try upgrading your router firmware to its latest version and try it again.

The Router firmware is the most recent!
D-Link DSL-G624T

Hello, Norwegian here. I just downloaded the latest update from my carrier, Telenor. The current version is now "G930FXXU1BPLB/G930FNEE1BPK1/G930FXXU1BPJJ".
Now suddenly my phone can't connect to my local web server or file shares (SMB sharing in programs that I use for backup phone etc). The servers are on the same subnet as my Wifi and it works fine on other devices like my laptop and my Samsung Galaxy Tab A.. Example http://10.0.0.59/ , a webcam, wont work anymore. Chrome browser says ERR_ADDRESS_UNREACHABLE.
Do anybody have a clue what this is?
The Setup:
Sky Router (uk broadband)
Sonos with Sonos Boost
Samsung S7 Android 7.0
Pixel Android 7.1.2
Iphone 10.3..1
Issue:
All phones can connect to the Sonos setup.
However the Samsung S7 drops the connection after a while and then cannot find the Sonos System.
The ONLY way is by rebooting the Sky Router.
Rebooting the phone does not work
Switching Wifi on and off does not work
Setting a static DHCP IP number for the Samsung and Sonos Boost, does not work.
I don't think i have any software or settings on the Samsung that should affect this.
Can anyone suggest anything else I can do?
Thanks
Hello Community ,
usually i'm a silent user on xda because i find all solutions via search function.
Now i have i strange problem and i can't find a solution.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 (SM-G930F) with the latest stock Firmware from Samsung.
I have a Pihole (Raspberry Ad-blocking) at home and because of that i have set my wifi settings to static. (Ip, Gateway and DNS).
Now when i'm not at home and open a wifi-hotspot on my Galaxy S7 for my Laptop the laptop connects to the Galaxy S7 Hotspot but i can't access the web.
I found out that my Laptop gets a dynamic IP from the Galaxy S7 but the DNS keeps the same static IP like when i'm at home....
The Problem is i can't change that IP neither on the laptop nor on the Galaxy S7 because i'm not connected to that network (because i'm not at home).
I hope someone can help me.
(Sorry for my bad english, it's not my native language)
