Hello all.
I use Nikon SnapBridge to control my Nikon DSLR.
It connects over Bluetooth from within the app.
It does not add a paired device in android itself.
The problem i have when pairing is after accepting the security keys on the Camera and the S7.
After that the name of the camera dissapears and connection fails from that point.
At first i thought it might be an issue with compatibility because its not one of the most stable apps out there.
But when trying it on my friends stock s7 it worked.
Is there any thing i can do to fix this or am i overseeing something?
mine started doing this after the nougat update, I suspect there is an issue with how nikon creates the connection in snapbridge that no longer works in nougat
yesterday I updated my Note 5 from 6.0.1 to 7.0 and can confirm that the snapbridge app is not longer connecting with the phone. after checking the pairing code on both devices the app stops with pairing failed while the cam D5600 still thinks everything is alright. hope there is an app fix soon.
greets
Timo
It does the same thing on my LG G6. The reviews for SnapBridge are dreadful. I have not been able to make it work at all with a couple of different android devices. And based on reviews online, the app is basically a failure.
Ok same here with galaxy s8. Still no solution?
Nikon snapbridge is fixed. Finally

Hey can you try doing what I did with my problem and see if it works? That is, disabling the Google App. Let me know if it did something.

Hey guys,
I know this thread was originally focusing on issues with snapbridge and Bluetooth, but I am wondering if anyone knows if Snapbridge doesn't support wifi on Android Nougat? Phone is Note 8.
I can't get my camera to connect over wifi at all. Every time I try to connect Nikon D5600 to wifi I get "this option is not available at current settings or in cameras current state." I tried updated camera to firmware 1.02 because it said it had some Android fixes but so far I still get that same error.
Thanks in advance.
I just bought a d850 and at first attempt to connect snapbridge, phone, and camera, it worked on my s7 however after 20 min it completely dropped the wifi not the Bluetooth. I pain stakenly tried to reconnect wifi but was unsuccessful. At this point it was time for an upgrade so I got the S9+ and the app did the same exact thing, no wifi, only Bluetooth. The odd thing is that it works on my Asus tablet and worked at first connection on the s7. I am left baffled and would like to enjoy full res and remote control with phone to my d850. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do?

Hi,
I recently bought a Nikon Coolpix P610 with built-in WiFi. When I tried to connect my OPO (factory ROM, up-to-date with OTA to 5.1.1 Cyanogen 12.1-YOG4PAS3JL) with the camera WiFi, my cellphone never reach to an IP address.
I have installed the app "Wireless Mobile Utility" from Nikon. I read that the app is compatible with several phone but the OPO isn't on the list so it might not work, but i need it to work.
The camera work just fine because I tried with a Samsung Galaxy S3 mini and it was okey.
I wonder if anyone had the same problem and could fix it or if you can help me to figure it out.
I tried to connect it through an static IP instead DHCP but I failed, I don't know if i'm doing it right.
Thankys in advance

As far as I know, Nikon Cooplix P610 doesn't have the WPS button, and the menu doesn't have the option like in D5300. So, you are forced to connect the smart device trough a tipical WiFi connection, like if the camera was a modem. And it didn't work :s

You don't need wps button , in 5300 connect using wps is inside WiFi settings ,so maybe your cam has that too

No, like I said, I did search the menu of D5300 and it's different to P610's menu. That's why I'm so concern about this because my only option is connect the smart device through a typical WiFi network generated by the camera.
I think that the problem is in my phone settings or how to fix it through a static IP addres, not at the camera, but I don't know how to solve it
Hi.. I am facing the same problem, not able to connect my one plus 2 with nikon d5300. Have got WMU installed, the phone says connected however camera shows not connected and when i open the app, it also says not connected... Please advise.

Hi. I have to say that with the following OTA of my phone that I received the problem was solved. So, I can't help you.
What can I say to you is that I talked to the Oneplus Support and they were very gentle and after like two months talking trying to explain my problem I managed to make an online appointment where they study my phone. Finally, because of my PC's operating system they couldn't upload some files in my phone to solve the problem. But the analyst I was talking said he would raise my problem to developers, and in fact, they solved the problem in the next update. If you really need this solved, you should try to talk to support, even most in your case, because your device has Oxygen.
I hope my answer helps you. Regards.
Hi there, is there any way to force S7 latestes nugat update to remember PIN code for Car Audio of mine?
It has no problem connecting to OBDII adapter remembering the PIN, but wont connect to Car Audio, i have to enter PIN manually every time i enter the car.
any solution?
Same problem here. No automatic connection. Pin input every time. Are we alone?
Looks like... sadly.
I have the same problem - 2016 Volkswagen. Sometimes the phone is remembered, but it asks me to pair 90% of the time. I have a Pixel XL
Of note: I also use Android auto - which I suspect could be the culprit. When I plug in via that connection, the Bluetooth connects without asking for a PIN, but then the phone invariably asks my permission to access messages. Why won't it remember?
No problems in my 2015 Chevy Silverado...
Mine works omn my cars and with my other paired devices.
Some devices I was able to add to smartlock and others I couldn't
Are you on stock rom?
Are you rooted?
I remember I faced this issue once on a previous smartphone because when I installed a custom rom I lost the IMEI.
IMEI corrupt will result in that bluetooth issue.
Hope not your case....
Any one found a solution to the issue maybe?
Did anyone find a resolution for this? I am having the exact same issue on my new S9+. It was working when I first purchased it then the phone updated and now it can't remember bluetooth pin numbers so everytime I get in the car I have to type in the pin code.
Thanks.

Are you rooted? If so, there's an issue with rooted S9+ not remembering bluetooth pairings after reboot. You have to download a Magisk module called libsecure_storage companion.
A few months ago (I forgot exactly when), I updated to the latest available herolte LineageOS build for my (rooted) S7.
As I use a Samsung Gear S2 Classic smartwatch, I went about updating build.prop to make the Galaxy Wear app work on my phone (the app works out of the box on everything except flashed Samsung phones, which is circumvented by replacing 'samsung' with 'htc' in build.prop). However, my watch would not connect anymore, despite resetting my watch, reinstalling the app, etc etc. It simply did not show up on the menu. Then I noticed that I was also unable to connect to my bluetooth speaker as well, despite it being on and working perfectly fine as before with my laptop. Scanning for bluetooth devices simply shows nothing. The smartwatch would show up for very short periods of time and then disappear again, the bluetooth speaker is still listed as 'paired' but attempting to connect to it does nothing.
So, my Bluetooth is broken after this update and I have no idea how to begin fixing this. I have not attempted reflashing my phone yet. Does anyone have any solutions or suggestions for troubleshooting?
I have OP7 PRO running android 10 and stock Oxygen OS (not root).
When I pair my device to my car bluetooth set everything works fine, but once the connection is lost it will not auto-reconnect the next time i'm in my car.
Moreover, in order to connect again i need to do the pairing again (not just select the device from the existing devices list).
I saw tons of threads online about this with no solution, some mentioned they think it's an issue with android OS and not the phone itself (this is supported by the fact that my wife just got a new Xiaomi and have the exact same problem).
Does it make sense that this is a global Android issue and has no fix for such a long time? did anyone experience it and managed to fix it?
I would guess at an issue with the car Bluetooth. May be theres a firmware update for that ?

That was my first thought, but it seems that the issue is on the device side as i can see that after connecting the device doesn't appear in the previously connected devices list.
As if the phone forgets it for some reason.
I've had occasional problems too. I'm using Launcher 10. Just last week, I turned on my wifi before starting my car as usual. It connected, then disconnected 2 times and then was stable. There's been times where I'll restart my car to fix it. It's irritating but who knows what can be done about it.
I have a rooted stock op7pro and I have a Samsung active2 watch that randomly disconnects and reconnects once or twice an hour. I have battery set to all Samsung apps on my phone to not optimize battery usage and I have no idea why it does this.
Sent from my OnePlus7Pro using XDA Labs
I have understood that it's also possible that it depend on the order in wich you connect.
You should first have to connect the car to the phone instead of the phone to the car.
Iow have the car lookup the phone
Yes, i head a lot about people with flaky connection but i hope that was the situation, for me it won't reconnet 100% of the times.
Changing the order of connections didn't work.
Hi guys, tried to use android auto today for the first time and having absolutely no luck. Either with wireless or a cable. Car says device not recognized. I've rebooted both, deleted all devices off the cars system etc and still nothing. The phone connectsvia Bluetooth and takes calls and plays music no issue but android auto won't connect. When I plug the phone in via USB it says device not supported?
I've Googled and it seems this is a common issue. Does anyone know of a fix or having similar issues? I'm rooted so wondering is that the issue or could there be a workaround as I'm rooted instead perhaps. All suggestions welcome, thanks!
