THIS IS CLOSEDSplashscreens/Live Wallpapers/Wallpapers/Boot Animations

I have wanted to contribute to XDA so to get started I will be providing Splashscreens/Wallpapers/Video Boot Animation. I'll try to upload new stuff at least once a week and if you have request just let me know and I'll see what i can do. You can provide the image you want me to use. I might not be able to get every request perfect but I will try my hardest. If you see a Splashscreen you think would make a nice wallpaper or vice versa let me know I can make the changes for you. I am learning how to make roms. So I hope in the near future I will have my first rom. I am also looking to make boot animations and would like some help. Please give your suggestions or opinions. I will try may best to get every request within the same day but I am very busy with work so I do have limited time.
Instructions:
How To Install Splashscreen.
1. NANDROID BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING PLEASE.
2. Unzip The Zip with WinRAR , WinZip , or 7zip. (If you don't have those click on the name of the program it will take you to the website to download them.) Then read the READ ME! file.
3. Take the PC36IMG.zip and put it on the root of your SD Card after you NANDROID.
4. Turn off the phone. Hold the volume button down and then press and hold the power button. Let it boot into hboot.
5. Let it scan for the zip. If it finds the update your good.
6. Press the volume up button to install the splash update.
7. Reboot and you will see your new SplashScreen.

To Install Wallpapers.
1. Download file to your desktop.
2. Hook your phone to your computer as disk drive.
3. Make a folder on your sd card called wallpaper.
4. Add the wallpaper you downloaded to it.
5. Unplug phone and go into gallery.
6. Click on the wallpaper you just downloaded and set it as an wallpaper.

Instructions: How To Install Video Boot Animation.
1. Nandroid(Always do a nandroid so you can restore)
2. Download a file manager. As Root Explorer, Super Manager all that can be downloaded at the market.
3. Open the file manager and go to system/customize/resources then back up the current boot animation.
4. After you backup your current bootanimation.zip you can copy the new one and paste it in that folder overwrite if you didn't remove the old one. Also add the sound file here too if one was included.
5. Then just reboot your phone and enjoy your new boot animation.

How To Install Your Live Wallpaper.
1. Nandroid(Always do a nandroid so you can restore)

3. Download the live wallpaper file to your desktop.
4. Plug your phone into the computer and open up your sd card
5. Put the file on the root of the sd card.
6 Unplug phone and open up file manager. Find file on sd card and install using file manager.
7. Hit the menu button,wallpaper,live wallpaper then find the one you just installed and click on it.
8. Now you can set how you want the wallpaper by clicking on settings. You can choose the size and frames per second. I have found that most work best on 10 or less. Try diffident fps and set to your liking. You can also change the size of the wallpaper from small to large by clicking on set size of animation.

I have a request for a Harry Potter splash screen. I don't have a base image because I don't know how I wan't it but I've seen your work and I trust your judgement. Oh yea by the way I'm almost done with my boot animation so when I'm done I'll put together a tutorial kit for ya just hit me up on gtalk if you need any help with the splash. I'm just trying to give you something to do so more perple can see your work cause I personally think you do good work.

just installed the android killing apple splashscreen. I have been an avid apple iphone person since the 3G came out, and I just switched to the evo 4g a few days ago from the iphone 4, and that splashscreen is exactly how I feel towards apple with their cellphones.

Messed up while playing with the framework-res.apk and need to reflash the system.img. Can someone grab it for me, please?

I've been thinking about how to accomplish this, and I think the only way to get a true 3.1 system.img is to take it off of a live system, that was upgraded cleanly from 3.0->3.0.1->3.1 without any setup or anything in between.. the 3.1 update only had patches for files, and the system stuff is in individual folders/files, not an overall patch to the partition (that even possible for system? seems like there are many possible differences to overwrite)

I'd be interested if anyone finds a way to do this as well. As said it looks like 3.1 was simply a patch. We might be waiting on moto for this one...

How to add sound to a boot animation start up? HELP?

Hi can anyone help me with this problem? i am using a HTC Desire Hd phone & am trying to add a android_audio.zip to my boot animation but what ever i do i cant find a way of doing it? I add boot animations via Root Explorer & then dropping the file in my phone like this ( system/media/bootanimation.zip )& that is easyly enough done but i would like to add a sound with the animation.
I have been looking on the forums & only found ways of doing it via SDK on my PC but i would like to find an easyer way because i cant seem to sync properly & for some reason the CMD wont let me type, i also have the correct drivers installed but i must be doing something wrong there but i cant figure out what? Anyway i found a way of using a program for changing the boot & sound with terminal on my phone & it sounded great & easy but it was only for use with a Vision phone & not for the Desire HD, this is the link for that Vision sound/boot changer & does anyone know if there is a Desire HD version of this? So does anyone know a way to change that is an easy & safe method?

Could someone make this a bootanimation?

Alright, I have several friends who want the same thing, so it would not be just for me (and it might convince a few people to get an Android phone ). But if someone could make this a bootanimation (AOSP, Landscape), I would be ETERNALLY grateful. I would not be able to compensate you financially, but if there would be anything I could do for you all you would have to do is ask*

I'm on Sense, and I tried it with my Rom and it worked/ran like a champ. It's in Landscape. It's late so I didn't try do any audio with it, but if you wanted to, you could probably easily pull that song from the video and simply rename it/push it. IF it doesn't work, it's most likely because I messed up the desc.txt.. Let me know and I will try to fix it ASAP.
Anyways, let me know if it works.. Going to bed.

Edit: it didn't work

I'll get it working for you, it's an easy fix. It's working on my phone right now. I actually forgot to replace the one I did last night for you with my original one. Rebooted my phone this morning and your boot animation played.
Working on it now, and I'm going to flash over to CM7 really quick to make sure it boots like it should.
Edit - http://www.mediafire.com/?z47q232h8h4tfia I accidentally uploaded it with the Sense desc.txt. It's fixed in that version. Also, on my Sense Rom when I ran it, it went through the entire animation fine and looped the last ending I have it set to. On the empty CM7 rom I tested it on, it booted really quickly because it had virtually nothing to load, so it didn't make it through the entire animation. Let me know if it makes it through all of it on yours.

I have the MP3 for it as well. What do I rename it to, and how can I use ADB to push the zip and mp3 to my phone?

I believe you rename it to SPC_Audio_Final.mp3 but I'll have to double check to make sure. I never use Audio on mine.
If you want, you can find root explorer and then use that to move the files throughout the phone. It's an application for android. ADB will work as well, there are plenty of tutorials as to how you set it up.
The commands are..
ADB push bootanimation.zip /System/media
That should be where yours is located. If you find that root explorer application, you can do it all from your phone through the menus. Just copy/paste. The audio file should go to the same place as the boot animation.

did you get it to work,as for sound on a asop rom you have to use .sh file(i've seen a thread around here somewhere i'll try and find the link to the thread) and i can put this up into a flashable zip.

and here is that asop flashable(in recovery) bootanimation(made a few tweaks to make file smaller) hope op dont mind me butting in

Boot animations wont work - tried everything

Before i start i just wanted to let you guys know, i did my best to search around the forum using the search bar and manually, read all of the guides and tut's, read other peoples problems and tried their solutions
nothign seems to be working.
im on a Pantech Sky Vega IM-A650S.
i followed the tutorials located

but nothing seems to be working. my phone is z4rooted, and now when my phone boots its just black and plays the original boot sounds.
im doing this through the ROOT EXPLORER method,
i was trying to get the alienware boot animation someone created here to work on my phone and it just stays black.
i have stretched the images like in the tutorial, used the "imageresizer/Boot animation Creator"
i place it on my sdcard, then click mount r/w and move it to the media folder where it replaces the original bootanimation.zip
- in an attempt i actually tried renaming it just to "bootanimation" (without the .zip) and placing it in my "bins" folder because i noticed that there was a file there as well. looks like it made my situation worse.
all i really want to do is learn that way i can start making boot animations other people may want to use.
0 i know it was stupid of me not to make a backup of the original bootanimation, but i have the files needed to factory reset this phone.
the resolution is 480 x 800 ( i tried this resolution as well as the others )
Help would be greatly appreciated, i only ever ask a question once and thats when im at a complete loss

didn't work still displaying black when the phone is booting. even with the program,

Bump, I'm on the same situation. Even the app for the bootanimations wont play the selected animation.
I'm trying via terminal, pushing the zip through the ADB, I've just modified the stock bootanimation images and saved as PNG-8, zipping the folfer with 7-Zip and selecting store instead of compressing...
