Are you sure that's a Google version? It should be pretty simple with that. It's the Verizon version that might require additional steps

Bootloader unlock?

So i was given this phone, well i bought it broken for cheap and managed to fix it, im quite versed in htc/sony/samsung/LG procedures and this was my 1st moto device, i managed to load latest 5.1 image via mfastboot commands, and i found that i need to unlock the bootloader to flash twrp, when i go to bootloader it says device is LOCKED status code 0, does this mean its already unlocked? i went to moto site and did the whole get oem unlock procedure pasted it into the site and it said it cant be unlocked, this is a UK retails handset, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Relocking Verizon Google Pixel (2016 Model)

Okay so I have spent over 2 hours looking to see if anyone has asked this, but cannot find an answer.
I have a Verizon Google Pixel it was on 7.1 when I unlocked the bootloader with DePixel8.
I have to return it and was wondering how do I relock the bootloader? Also do I need to be back on Android 7.1?
I have since unlocked the updated to android 8.0 (or w.e. the current version of Android is out.) while bootloader is unlocked.
(I AM NOT ROOTED NOR HAVE I INSTALLED ANY TYPE OF CUSTOM RECOVERY ONLY APPS FROM PLAY STORE)
Now one last thing. If I relock will I need to use the DePixel8 method again and give the command fastboot oem lock?
Any help is appreciated. And sorry for being such a darn noob. Kinda new to this.
P.S. forgive me if this was asked somewhere and I couldn't find it,
You should be able to run the command in bootloader mode "fastboot flashing lock" and then toggle oem unlocking in settings off if it isnt already.

Trying to unlock bootloader, flash Twrp, and Root with Magisk and need help

I've been trying at this for a couple days now,no success but no brick either Every phone I've owned up to this one I've been able to root and flash recoveries and custom roms as I pleased but this phone been tricky for me so I need someone here maybe to tell me my next move... So I called TMobile and I got the rep to give me a permanent unlock for my phone and I checked the Tmobile unlock app and its says permanently unlocked ...So my question now is since I cant seem to get the adb to "fastboot oem unlock" to change the device state to unlocked in the bootloader without asking me for my unlock code ,how to I get this to work? Is the next step requesting the unlock code from Oneplus because I have all the info for the form for Oneplus but don't know how to find unlock code for the form.... Help me out guys ... Thanks

You now need to convert to Int. version, you can't "fastboot oem unlock" on T-Mo version without a stupid unlock token! Follow these instructions ===> https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-7-pro/how-to/how-to-convert-tmobile-op7-to-t3935947

After this, you need to enable OEM unlock. See here.
Once you have enabled OEM Unlock under developer options, the fastboot oem unlock will work.

Rooting an android 11 pixel 2 (Build number RP1A.201005.004) IS IT POSSIBLE?

Currently trying to root my google pixel 2. The guy who sold me this phone said it was unlocked but I guess that was a LIE. When it arived, It had a verizon SIM card and the OEM unlockd button was grayed out. Surprisingly, this method actually managed to get the grayed out OEM unlock button to turn blue:
Here’s an easy method to bootloader unlock a Verizon Pixel or Pixel XL
There's now a simple method to unlock the bootloader of your Verizon-branded Google Pixel or Pixel XL. Give your phone new life!
www.androidauthority.com
However, after I ran "adb reboot bootloader" the command "fastboot oem unlock" still failed. And after the OS booted, the button was grayed out again.
1. What is actually going on here? Why does this method seem to work for some people?
2. Is there any way to get around this?

I just tried my AT&T SIM card in the phone and it worked... So the phone is not even carrier locked, but the bootloader is locked.
If you can reactivate the OEM unlock button try using 'fastboot flashing unlock' rather than the OEM unlock command. Mine wasn't carrier locked but fastboot flashing unlock unlocked my bootloader.
Had the same drama unlocking a pixel I had and fastboot flashing unlocked sorted the bootloader once I'd activated the OEM unlock button.

I tried that after using the exploit in the OP to get the unlock OEM button. Didn't work.
I'm pretty much done with this POS phone.

Fair enough mate, worth a try but definitely sounds like it's the end of the road for unlocking it sadly. Might be time to sell it on mad move on to something else.

Bootloader question, PLEASE HELP!

I have a TracFone moto g pure (XT2163DL) running android 12, build number S3RHS32.20-42-13-2-1. I managed to get my oem unlock to show up and turned it on. First I tried using the Motorola unlock site to unlock my bootloader but it said it wasn't eligible. So then I tried using fastboot command "fastboot oem unlock" and a screen popped up telling me I can choose to unlock my bootloader and when I told it to unlock I received a message saying it was successful. But it isn't. It said it's unlocked but yet it is still locked anyway. I know TracFone has problems unlocking bootloader's but why would it let me get that far if it is impossible to unlock? Is there anything else I can do? If anyone knows something else I can try please point me in the right direction. I don't mind doing my homework after all that's how I learn but I'm just at a point where I need some guidance.please help me and always thank you so much for your time in advance...
If the bootloader reports unlocked, what makes you say it's still locked?

Nothing is wiped and it still says OEM secured on the fastboot page. The only difference now is when I try to reboot back into system it will first boot back into the bootloader again and then it will boot into system when I reboot a second time
