How to find a password on samsung browser rooted - General Questions and Answers

Hello I have an account for a website, but I have forgotten the password. I have no way of retrieving it by using the forgot password button. I have tried, but I never receive the email with instructions. Anyway I rooted my phone to find out the password, but I don't know how to find it. I am desperate can anyone help me?

Contact support for the website your account is with, if you can verify who you are they'll get you straight.

I have tried, but the phone given is not in service and my emails are not answered. That is why I am trying to get the password through rooting.

[Completed] What happened to my login. Can't login, haven't changed anything.

I have used the user id 'Groid' since 2011 and have not changed my password. When I try to sign in I eventually get to a page that thinks I'm not Groid and my email is not (Mod edit: removed). What happened?

Hidden HTC menu on Android 6.0

OK I've googled this a few times and I've asked in threads only to be ignored so hopefully I can get an answer here.
In the hidden menu on Android 6.0 on the bottom of the screen there is a new option called FDT settings I simply would like to know what is FDT and why does it ask for a password when trying to check status. Here's a screenshot of what I'm talking about:
See here
When u click on "FDT ready" the password prompt pops up

Yes dude it's a conspiracy to ignore you ??
I know you asked in one of my threads. It would appear no one knows. It's even less likely you will get that password.

What's up @dottat no I don't think it's a conspiracy at all I just think if no one knows why not someone say something (as u did). No one likes being ignored.
OK well someone has gotta know right? How would I go about locating this file, setting, whatever it is through adb?
Have you tried "000000"?

No but I will
Has anyone figured out what this is for or what the password is?

Color me puzzled...
I turn up a few links when searching but nobody seems to know what FDT regulation is. I seem some reference to FDT as "flight and duty time" regulation in Italy. That is likely not related.
Spoke too soon! Perhaps this helps (not really but at least you can see the acronym.

And to save you some digging, FDT stands for Field Device Tool.
So I wonder how we could get that password

I didn't see any mention of default passwords in any of the literature I saw. Anyhow it's probably OEM specific and that website was no OEM specific.
i wish someone could brute force the password and post it here

Mind me asking where would I find that

its given to you by the carrier, verizon probably wont give it to you, if you have root you should be able to download a root msl app and see if it can retrieve it for you. MSL = Master subsidy lock

but if you had read the link, fdt is a program for testing apps that are being developed,
this setting is listed in their documentation. This probably is only to allow the device to receive apps and to connect to the fdt program.
Its not something containing hidden gold for your device, but properties for a application builder you dont own / have access to.
Possible answer
I found a page on mobile app designing/programming I believe. That's best I could come up with. Hope it helps!! I'm not allowed to post outside links, new user, but searching power.flash might help

You'll need to do a password reset then. You cannot bypass this without logging in.

As I said, you would need to recover that login. Or you could get a motherboard replacement.
It will not be accessible without that login.

Who is wanting money? Anyone who offers to charge money report them as that's against the rules here.
I'm glad you got it resolved!
