Hi Guys its been a while I haven’t made any tool, so here is it. An awesome dev tool to unpack, repack any boot or recovery img and Automatically makes Materialised TWRP from any twrp img.

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Requirements :
*Any windows PC (32 bit and 64 bit both)
*Recovery, boot img
*Some basic knowledge about rom (very basic)
Features :
*Pretty small in size
*Unpack Recovery, boot images
*Repack Recovery, boot images
*Automatically makes Materialised TWRP from a Normal TWRP image :0
*Easy to use and Portable
How to use :
Whole detailed explained guide here
Basic Info:
This tool is simply written in batch script, coz it makes easy to write and execute, easy to handle and harmless file.
Also this tool is an open source project on github you can check it in the download sections from main webpage, so what I am trying to say is don't edit the tool and change my name and post it somewhere else, coz its my work I struggled.
Note:- Sometimes your materialised twrp made from the toolkit wont work, coz of some handled problem by the script. If something happens and TWRP won't work, no worry run the script again. Very rare cases it won't work.

Can you need to remove that adlink to your github link? Against XDA rules. Post the github link here and not on a third-party website.

Bro listen, that third party site is my main website and this is just a post I have created just to spread this tool nothing else with this post, and it's my choice if I want to add adlink to GitHub site,I have spent hours in making it,so it's my choice what I am gonna doing, downloads are compulsory from that third party website I.e my main webpage,if you don't like it's your problem am not gonna post download links here. Okay thank you.
So, you ask for donations and thanks, also you claim you can do whatever you want with "your" tool's download links but you don't have the minimal common sense to give credit to the people that actually created the tools you use. I see in your tools folder a lot of executables from osmosis and from me (my Carliv Image Kitchen) like the coloring tool checo exe.

It's fine, you didn't know but the way you responded was not appropriate. If you had said this before then I would've understood where you're coming from. "coz you people get support from many peoples" No I don't but I don't complain. I've been doing this for 3+ years now and only got two donations. It's called a donation, no one is obligated to donate for your work. If that was the case then you would basically be telling people to pay for your work which isn't allowed on XDA. Let's not make your work on XDA define who you are, if you're known or not. Just do what you can and do good work and people will recognize you. Don't beg for recognition.

Hello [email protected]! We need your skills to write a single click script for the new Elephone P8 3D. The rooting procedure with TWRP and Magisk is complicated for newbies. Can you help us, please?

(8.4.14) Alright, this is the current status:
- The script was removed due to outdated / non-existant files and links.
- I'm trying to get this project done, but could seriously need some developer's help because our device is not officially supported by CM which makes things even more difficult. (Additionally, I'm busy because of school-stuff :silly: )
- The porting tutorial is easier now, than it used to be: looky-here
Just have a look, maybe you see something I didn't - talk to me (I'm also on Google+, same name)
- You can also post external links from different devices on which UT actually works - maybe that'll help.
- I'm still trying to figure out how to use Github and will most likely give a link to the source, once it's uploaded!
I don't want to let this project die, so let's work together! :fingers-crossed:

I wish Spii good luck with the build process!
You should ask some moderator to reserve second and third post in your name, if case the project evolves, there might be need for more posts to keep thread clean. Since you didn't reserved them by yourself .

Hey first of all, thanks for creating this :good:
Now to the whole community:
This is my first ROM project, so I am still a beginner! That means everyone is welcome to (try to) help with this, making it as good as possible.
So what are you waiting for, boot your linux pc (or virtual drive) and start downloading and compiling The tutorial, is well explained. If you still have problems, just ask maybe I can help, at least I can try.
About my progress:
I compiled it successfully yesterday and I got a 32MB output, which is smaller compared to others, maybe there is something I forgot.
I tried also to boot from it but it doesnt work, maybe someone with experience can help me finding a solution.
I tried to take a logcat, but somehow it shows my device as "offline".
At the end I would like to thank @dominos_liberty for his fantastic work and several Roms, especially the Cm-10.1, that I use as base!

The device specific part of Ubuntu Touch should be relatively small, as it relies on CM and the preinstalled part (generic). It doesn't have to get big.

@dominos_liberty: Hey, I added in 'build/core/main.mk' in the subdirs 'device/htc' but then I get a compilation error:
Code:
No rule to make target 'out/target/product/villec2/obj/SHARED_LIBRARIES/libgenlock_intermediates/export_includes', needed by 'out/target/product/villec2/obj/SHARED_LIBRARIES/camera.msm8660_intermediates/import_includes
Have you any idea, is the 'device/htc' not needed?
EDIT: Nevermind

Is your source available anywhere? Seems like a project I might be able to get on board with.
Edit: and by your source, I mean the source you're compiling from right now not the CM10.1 branches
Just a little update about my situation:
As I said, I am a beginner. What does that mean? I cant solve certain problem (making the ROM bootable) on my own, because I have no experiences. I was on the #ubuntu-touch irc-channel (more than once) and the only answer I got was from a guy in a similar situation, with another device, so he coulnd help me.
As you probably know finding answers on google is very time intensive, thats why I was hoping some people from our community would try the same like me -> Trying to compile and doing some experiments, but 'x ZackehSoul x' was the very first one who said that he will also try his luck.
In short: This work is frustrating, but I will try my best, cause I am learning by doing and maybe someday I can present you something that works.
Thanks to the guys who believe in me, but dont expect too much!
@x ZackehSoul x : I found yesterday this thread from the HOX (click me). They got it booting, and there is also a little tutorial wich shows the changes needed. As we have the little brother from the HOX, this may work also for us, but I got some new problems..
As I am experimenting a lot and my upload is slow I wont upload the sources till something works, but you can just follow the guide and if you have problems I will try to help you.
EDIT: As you probably know, 'breakfast villec2' wont work because we dont have an official cm version. You have to enable the device manually (deprecated), showed in the ubuntu wiki!
EDIT 2: @dominos_liberty : I attached the last_kmsg, if you could have a look at it, that would be great!
logcat gives me an error: /sbin/sh: exec: line 1: logcat: not found
Kind regards
-Spi

I cannot figure out where r u going wrong without seen the source. Although many people wants to work on this project but no one knows what the other is doing. Clearly what I mean is make a github account, fork villec2 repos from my github, make changes required, add proper commits, and then push those commits to your github, and then only I will know where are you going wrong and may be able to help.
Hi all. Can I help you with something?
By the way thanks dominos_liberty for different roms for C2.

The changes I did are all in the tutorial (link in the OP):
- adding local_manifest.xml (with the content you wrote in your compile tutorial)
- deleting the 'nosuid' from the data partition in '/device/htc/villec2/ramdisk/villec2.fstab'
- adding some configs in the 'kernel/htc/villec2/arch/arm/configs/villec2_defconfig'
- adding 'vendor/htc \' in 'build/core/main.mk'
@m.lekski and the rest: You can try to compile by following the guide and then debugging...

Agreed.
I might set up a GitHub for the project just based off the initial Ubuntu port stuff to give everyone a base without going through the basics.

Are you telling me that you took my work and packaged it as your own, taking all the credit for yourself? Did you even compile from source or just take my already compiled TWRP? Either way, I demand that you take down this thread or I'll be forced to report you. You're violating rule number 12 on XDA - using the work of others. If you had contacted me prior to creating this thread I may have let you use my work. But not now, because you didn't credit anyone but yourself in the first place! I repeat, take down this thread you fraud. I am seriously offended because I worked for many hours to get TWRP working. It's a real shame. If you want to keep TWRP in your signature, at least have it link to my initial post about my release of TWRP. I hope you have learned a lesson.

You still don't deserve the thanks. You're a senior member so you should know not to use someone's work without their permission. I still want you to delete this thread. You stole my work originally. I don't care that I'm not bring credited. I do care, however, that you're using the work as if it's your own, that you stole it. If you want to share my TWRP with others, keep it as a link in your signature like mine, or make an All-In-One FAQ thread for the S Duos.
EDIT - Also do the same for your thread about my BA2X 2.0 kernel or else I'll reject you the permissions to use my work in your upcoming ROM, and I'll report you. Somebody oughta teach you respect. It's not just praise.

What is this?
This is Bump! A new and easy way to sign boot images for most modern LG phones so they'll boot on any locked phone.
Bump an image once, and flash it to however many phones you please.
Click to collapse
How does this work?
Simply create an account on the site, click "Bump!", upload the boot/recovery images (also known incorrectly as 'kernels') and the service will automatically Bump them for you.

Is this project open source?
No, this project is not open source. We are however an "open" project, as we are all for transparency and user discussion. With that in mind, we'll be participating in user discussions and providing bugfixes and changelogs when possible.

Who made this?
Team Codefire, of course!
Bump would not be possible without the help and support of many people.
Please consider donating something to the people listed below to help them to continue to support your LG phone and to show your appreciation of all the hours they've put into this awesome unlock!
@thecubed - Paypal Donate - That'd be weird if I wrote something nice about myself here
@Shelnutt2 - Paypal Donate - This guy nearly single-handedly wrote the entire Bump site in a few days, and was stuck waiting for me to be around before we could test. He's awesome.
@IllegalArgument - Paypal Donate - Special thanks here, IllegalArgument really helped out and brought us across the finish line here. It's safe to say that we have the unlock today because of him - show him some love!
@autoprime - Paypal Donate - Generally awesome. Always helpful, always willing to test things, and a great guy to have on the team!
@AnimatronicRocketReptile - Paypal Donate - Crypto help, thanks!
@Dees_Troy - Paypal Donate - For building all these TWRP images for us, thanks so much!

I'm just a user, do I need this?
Most likely not. If you're just flashing ROMs, this is a tool for developers only. There is no need to Bump ROMs yourself if you're not editing anything in the kernel, recovery, or ramdisk.

How do I know if something is Bump'd?
Look for the word "signed" or "bumped" in the filename. We will create a new section of the site soon that allows you to verify that a file is bumped soon enough.

Thanks team codefire you guys are awesome
@thecubed @autoprime
U guys ROCKED .... still debating between G3 or Note 4 for me.
Great news!!! Thank you!!
Thank you guys so much. Just Rooted and Bumped today. Waiting for something sick to flash. Thanks again! You guys are awesome.
Should I be able to take this ROM, from the Tmobile G3:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-lg-g3/orig-development/rom-cyanogenmod-11-0-t2876156
Sign it, then flash on my AT&T variant?
So now we can have ROM's bumped - are we limited to only D850 ROMs or is there some compatibility outside of that? I'm ready to load CM11 on my device at this point. I don't mind the LG skinning but just by disabling the installed AT&T apps and disabling other LG-esque apps you can free up a GIG of RAM. I'd love to see a slim ROM fly on this device.

I would think that you should always stick to ROMs intended for your device, including any indicated for all variants. ROMs for other models will likely have kernels that are not intended for the D850.
D850 specific ROMs will start popping up shortly.
Since I'm not a programmer I will agree with your assessment czucker. I realize that different devices / different kernels are out there. What I didn't know was wither or not there was specific bits that differentiate the T-Mobile builds from the AT&T ones. Meaning, would the only change necessary be the APN?
My advice, NEVER flash anything that isn't intended for the D850. If something happens people on here may not be able to save you. Personally it's not worth the risk. Just WAIT... Roms will be coming in.

Over at thr tmo forums they are saying it should work. Anyone else brave enough? Theres really no need for another person to compile if it can be a unified build.

I really wish we could get a developer to chime in on this "development thread" rather than just throwing speculation out in to thin air. Clearly some devs have managed to get roms going with a unified build on "same-hardware" devices. One example is the Galaxy S4.. every device was exactly the same apart from the cellular modem (which you don't flash anyway with the OS image). And, the recent MIUI v5 build for our G3.
I'm just trying to open this topic up for anyone adventerous enough because clearly it has worked on many other devices.. and will probably with ours as well.
After Bumping an image would we have to zip it?

Me either. There are carrier specific/TMO specific files, even though the hardware/TMO G3 will unlock and work on ATT. Patience is a good thing.
But heck, someone's always ginny pigging about, go ahead and let us know.

D855 ROMs will not work on D850. Some slight differences. Even with Bump!ed kernel. There is a D850 CM ROM now though
Save yourself the headache and take the advice that was already given, just use what is made for your device unless you want to waste more hours repairing what you broke.
Thanks for Bump! Who doubted you guys????

I thought Tmobile was a D851, not D855. Correct me if I'm wrong?
You really seem like you want to go for it ..... I honestly wouldn't and I have flashed a crap ton of stuff .. Hence my name .... Just stick with what's for your d850 .... But them again if your as stubborn as some other people go ahead and try it .. I will wish you all the luck and heck maybe it will work or maybe it will die by fire..... Who knows .... Good luck

Hello XDA,
If you've ever tried to theme or modify SecContacts on lollipop, you've undoubtedly realized that it recompiles, but does not work when pushed back to your device. Today I'm going to show you how to fix that. I've been holding off releasing this information for awhile, but what the hell, here it is, exclusively from Alliance...
***I am not responsible for any loss of data***
***or damage to your device resulting from this mod***
In order for this to work, your ROM will need to have signature validation disabled. If you do not know how to do so,
A) There are plenty of guides on XDA that will teach you. This is not one of them.
B) Why are you in a developers' forum?
Moving on....
All you need to do is open the AndroidManifest file in your decompiled SecContacts, search for:
Code:
android:authorities="@string/file_provider_authorities"
...and change it to:
Code:
android:authorities="com.android.contacts.files"
Once you've done that, make any other changes you want, recompile (keeping the new manifest), push to your device, and voila! Working SecContacts.
Remember, you heard it here first, and you heard it from Alliance. Enjoy.

There's no point in making a video tutorial, when it would only show a single text value being changed. It's worked for every single other person who's tried it, so try again. Make sure that you have signature validation disabled on your ROM, and that you're only copying the original META-INF folder back when you recompile, and keeping the new manifest.
After you check all that and try again, if you're still having problems, upload your manifest, but I strongly suspect the problem is one of the things I mentioned...

I think one of these guides will work (no promises though):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2725233

In the second link, the part dealing with core.jar is not necessary, but if you want to do it anyway, the file is now called core-libart.jar.

Post a logcat.
I've been looking everywhere for a sub-forum for this device but XDA has not seen fit to create one yet. So, if I'm posting this in the wrong area, that's why I did it.
USE AT YOUR OWN RISK! I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR DUMB DECISIONS AND BY EXTENSION, YOUR BROKEN PHONE! THIS WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY AND MAY BRICK YOUR DEVICE
What is this?
Basically it's the deodexed and zipalinged KDZ file in zip format so we can flash it from TWRP.
The instructions on how to root and flash TWRP can be found here
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/recovery-twrp-v3-lg-stylo-2-plus-t3482169
The guy deleted his recovery.img because he was trying to get paid for it somehow or something. So here is the link for the recovery.img
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5_Tro_qGCDcMW81VUktRDh5Rms/view?usp=sharing
I did NOT include root because I'm using system-less root to get Android Pay to work.
I tried uploading this directly to XDA so no stupid mirrors however, XDA said the attachment was too large. So instead, I'm uploading this to my personal google drive. Please help me out by mirroring this for other users.

I'm not trying to generate ad revenue, I'm just trying to give back to the community. I don't need anyone to thank me because honestly, all I did was follow the instructions from:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2431204
With one exception. I used the tool here to extract all the pieces in conjunction with the above mentioned tutorial.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2600575
I'm typing this out while flashing it myself for the first time so let me be clear.......
THIS IS UNTESTED
Reserved
@abadasstanker69 i didn't give you the permission to share my twrp port , please remove the link.
It's not "your" anything. TWRP is open source. If mods want to remove it, they can. But I'm not taking anything down.
Hopefully a mod will come remove your profile anyway. Attempting to sell TWRP on your blog through ebay? What kinda nonsense are you trying to pull anyway? Then to have the nerve to advertise it on XDA.... without this community you wouldn't even know how to do it. You're leeching from the REAL work of REAL programmers who dedicated countless hours to develop TWRP. You're robbing from THEM. You should be ashamed
< Mod Edit: Link to blog with paid recovery file removed. Keep this off xda please. >

What's your problem it's my work and share it the way i like.
You're absolutely NOT sharing it. You're attempting to make money off someone else's work. And it's not YOUR work. It's someone else's work that you're repackaging with your name and a price tag. It's disgusting IMHO
TWRP is and always has been OPEN SOURCE! You can't call dibs on it. You ported it. Big flipping deal. Look. We already have enough info on you to take to TWRP and have them file legal action against you for trying to sell/steal/make profit from their work.
This is why MultiROM doesn't try and sell their ports. It's flipping stupid and illegal.
For anyone else reading this, since XDA's admin doesn't seem to understand what "OPEN souce" means, just PM for the recovery.img I'll build one myself tonight since it's LITERALLY typed out step by step on TWRP's website and requires ZERO talent or effort......
WTF happened to this community? We're old school members so just to let you know, we're forwarding this directly to TWRP so they can take whatever legal actions need to be taken. I hope this admin understands what this means and where this is going. I highly advise you to review your admin agreement and then look at the actual laws governing open source software. https://opensource.org/faq In the mean time, I'll be contacting Ethan Yonker (Dees Troy the ACTUAL developers behind TWRP) to let him know.
https://plus.google.com/+JamesAndersonTheStonedTanker/posts/T5JXsbVQXF5?sfc=false
To anyone else reading this, I'm sorry this got side tracked by people who don't understand even the SPIRIT of this community. I'm even more sorry that this is what this community has devolved into.
Now I'm gonna go complete this talent-less task to allow REAL open source distribution as the original XDA used to be about......
Might wanna read this from the TWRP website, especially the intellectual property part, you agreed to these terms by accessing the site and it's content.

I built my own version. I'm not ready to release it yet because it's got some kinks in it. It won't allow TWRP backups to complete. I don't feel like that's worthy of being released unlike that other douche bag who put it out anyway. But if you need it, PM me and I'll send you a download link
