LG G Flex 2 Rooted - LG G Flex 2

Hey thank you for checking out this thread..
I have bricked my phone, G FLex 2 LS996, unfortunately I can't get away from the boot screen. [The one with the LG Logo on it]
I tried using Kingo Root without knowing the consequences of rooting.
The only Solution I tried is wiping the data and going back to the phone's Factory Default settings which I did when going through the phone's hard reset.
I thought that would end my problem. Unfortunately, even after restoring the phone's Factory Default settings I am still stuck at the boot screen.
I have no knowledge working with mobile phones. So.. can I kindly ask for your help and guidance.. Thank you so much.

You need to flash firmware again. To enter download mode you hold vol up and connect USB cabel. Like here - http://www.hard-reset.mobi/lg-g-flex-2-download-mode/
Then you install firmware from LGUP software. Install phone drivers first and download right firmware for your model.
Here seams to be some stuff for LS996 - https://boycracked.com/2016/10/01/official-lg-g-flex-2-sprint-ls996-stock-rom/
Hope it helps

Which phone?
You will either need to flash back to complete stock or try any custom ROM.

HTC droid incredible 4g lte not working after flashing boot.img
I have been trying to gain root access to my phone and I found a all in one root from adroid-root.org. I successfully unlocked my bootloader. I went to flash the insecurebootlader.img for fireball because the all in one root required it. When I flashed that the HTC start up screen came up and then the screen went black. I could still access my phone via my cpu. I read in a forum were it might be stuck in bootloader loop. So I rebooted it into bootloader and restored factory settings and now my computer doesn't communicate with my phone at all. It sees it as a adroid storage device and when I connect the usb it brings up my verizon backup, but its like I have completely wiped my phone. It won't connect through adb or nothing. Is there any way someone could help? It would be greatly appreciated.

Need help getting to stock recovery

Need help...
Was messing the around with the screen density in the buildprop.. after reboot, "systemui keeps FCing" making it unusable and I cant do anything. Attempting to do a hard button combo to go into stock recovery but cant seems to get it to work.. Googleing tells me to, hold volume down and power till the LG logo, release power and rehold again.. it just reboots again.. holding all 3 brings me to a korean menu that I cant read.. holding up and power brings me to a recovery menu that I think only the service centre can use, there's no option in there, only asking me to reboot.
Any kind souls please....

I've been trying to get into my stock recovery for some time now trying all sorts of button combos but to no avail. Previously I had the g2 and when it updated from jellybean to kitkat, the combo for entering stock recovery changed however, this new combo doesn't seem to work on the G Pro 2 either
You should be able to revive your device back to stock using the LG pc Suite however, after tampering with the system, it is often necessary to perform a factory reset after the pc suite has done it's work which will need you to enter stock recovery.
If you are completely stuck, I would suggest restoring your device using the pc suit and, all being well, your device will boot sufficiently for you to perform a reset through the phone settings menu. If you are really lucky, it may boot properly and you may not need to perform any reset however, it would still probably be a good idea to do so.

I had tried everything.. Even adb command to reboot into recovery. It just brings me to a broken Android with red triangle. I am starting to think there is no stock recovery built in that is accessible to users..
I am now at the service centre. Well the guy can detect that its rooted.. voids warranty.... But will try to see if he can help to reflash the firmware.. If not have to change hardware and will be chargeable....... Fingers crossed. He did say users are not able to access the recovery..
Guys.. Until there's custom recovery, pls dun mess with it.....
That is really bad. I am stuck at bootloop and unable to reach the recovery mode. I wonder how entire web just talks about a hardreset process that doesnt even work

Glad you were able to get your phone back. I have some positive news. I am trying out a recovery method as we speak. Using the LG Software update & USB driver tool I found the option for a update recovery. So I gave the IMEI and it prompted for a connection to the device which wasnt there as the phone is stuck in a boot loop. So I thought if it is going to restore the firmware from PC ( and not OTA) then it at some point of time will take the phone to download mode. So I just put the phone in download mode and VOILA it recognised the connection. And right now it is downloading the recovery firmware. The firmware being downloaded is around 1.5GB which is exactly what size I expected it to be. I have my fingers crossed. Just hope it goes through fine.

As I mentioned in an earliar post on this thread, you can usually get the device into a booting state using the lg pc suite. You will probably have to perform a factory reset but, hopefully, after using the tool, you can access the software factory reset in the settings menu. From past experience with other lg devices, it can often help if you run the recovery more than once in the pc suite.

Hi Bob,
Yes I think the same option is there in the LG PC Suite as well. But unless you do what I have tried to do it wont recognise a device that has not booted yet. Devices soft-bricked or bootlooping wont be recognised by the PC suite for recovery. But thanks for the tip. I'd keep that in mind and see if it'd need another factory reset after recovery. But it seems like it will be a hard reset done by the recovery happening right now

Good luck. If no joy just try the pc suit. I'm fairly sure I had a success on my old g2 with a similar problem to yours. Can't remember exactly what I did but I kept trying things and eventually the pc suit recognised and sorted my device. Perhaps try to adb reboot recovery with the pc suit on screen??
PC suite and the software update thing didn't work for me. It just refuse to recognize my device. Hope things work out for u!

Thanks. I was able to revive my phone. No loss of apps and data. Just the root was lost. Can you tell me what issues you have witnessed after such a recovery that made you to do a factory reset? The phone looks fine at the moment but wonder if it'd end up in a boot loop again.

You shouldn't have a problem. I just like to have a clean start and to make sure that there are no alien files left from my previous tampering.

It went all smooth. I'd like to shout out to all LG G Pro 2 users to make a note of this method and try it whenever they soft-brick their phones.

Hi there,
I am in the same situation, I can not do the factory reset in any way was mentioned here (pc suite, lg update) in the forum, because there is no connection between the pc and the mobile.
Where you from anyway and which mobile service did you take your phone, how much was the service cost?

[Completed] Possibly fully bricked... Please help me

I have an LG Stylo from MetroPCS. I have first I rooted, then twrp, following the Katana custom rom. Exposed came pre-installed. I attempted to install it. Next came the time to reboot the phone via exposed. Unfortunately I have oem locked, forgetting to leaving it unlocked. When I clicked reboot, the phone turned off but never turned rebooted past the LG screen again. All it will do now is keep flashing something like a secure booting error. There are numbers on the top left side of the screen flashing. I tried using the hard keys but it didn't help. What I did was when I turned the phone on I held the power and volume down buttons and when I saw the LG screen, I quickly let go and held them in again. This got me to the phone asking me if I want a factory reset. Normally by choosing yes, the phone boots into twrp but in my case the phone went back to the flashing numbers LG screen. I tried connecting the phone to a computer but when I plugged the phone into the USB it wouldn't show in my computer, even when I installed LG drivers. If I cannot fix this phone, I will have to pay a lot of money. Can someone please let me know whether this phone can really be fixed?

You are going to have to get phone in download mode and use the LG flash tool to flash it back to factory. Look here for guidance, but be aware this is for a boost model.
Thank you very much for your help. I'm just scared that the phone won't respond to another computer but I'll try. But I have another issue. My LG is one that has the buttons on the bottom. The only way that I know of trying to get the phone into recovery mode is to do it like I described before. But my phone will not go into my twrp.

[Completed] Need help with a lg tribute that is stuck in bootloop after a factory reset.

I have been reading everything I can find and tried to figure it out myself but the more I read the more questions I have and the less sure I am about trying any of the things I have read.
My problem is with an lg tribute from the company called Textnow. My friend ordered the phone from them and was having some issue she decided to try to fix by doing a factory reset which caused it to be stuck on the Lg boot logo. I tried booting to recovery to fix it. The recovery was TWRP. I was under the impression that Twrp was a custom recovery program that was installed after unlocking boot loader. Best I can tell is the phone was already rooted by the company. Does this sound right?
I messed with it for while but couldn't get anywhere with it because I haven't any knowledge of rooting except what I read . I noticed it kept saying something about simulating actions and figured that out but now after trying to back up and restore and poking around that it says there is no os , I was hoping someone could help me figure out where to go from here as it isn't my phone and I would hate to damage it although my friend keeps telling me to just try whatever no big loss because she can't use it like it is so. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Bootloop + Security Error 1006

First time when phone went on bootloop I sent it on fixing , apparently when they tried to boot it up for backup it went on security error loop, and now I cannot enter to download mode nor the phone is visible on pc , is there any way I can enter download mode without key combination and get phone visible again , and how to wipe everything and reinstall stock rom (watched tutorials , cant do since no download/vis. port on pc / need more "brutal" way).
Phone wasnt previously rooted , dont know if it was done when they tried the recovery.
Thanks for reading and hopefully answering , cheers

That's hardware failure.. flashing the stock rom won't fix your problem. Only fix is a board or phone replacement.
Google LG G4 bootloop, it's extremely common. Never store anything important on a G4, always use an SD Card.
There are some methods of baking it or taking it apart and using a heat gun/blow dryer in places but it's not a permanent fix and sometimes never really works.

You can reduce the cores that are being used when you root the phone, but i cannot do that cause of the problems stated above. Im perfectly aware of the hardware failure , what i need is possibly the solution to get phone recognizable to pc again.
