Hi,
I want to ask about my phone j700h i dont know if dead or what.
first my phone firmware is Marshamallow then i downloaded A5 Port rom and install and success and then i saw "Speed Fusion Remix " i think its cool so i downloaded and create backup using TWRP and install "Speed Fusion Remix " and Success and when i use the "Speed Fusion Remix " i tried gps test apps in My Room and i saw slow locking location then a few hours i tried to go back to A5 Port Rom using Restore TWRP and success boot. and i tried to GPS test in my Room but also slow and i tried outside my house and then there is a bunch of GPS satellite so i think "Speed Fusion Remix ROM" have no problems. Once Again i tried to Flash "Speed Fusion Remix ROM" and after installation my phone went BLACK it won't charge, I can't go to Recovery mode but i can go to Download Mode. So i downloaded he Official Firmware J7 then Flash Using ODIN software and Success flash, but it won't BOOT and Black Screen also. I cant Go to Recovery, Only DownloadMode is Function.
WHY? Can you Help Me?
Did you do a full wipe - data, system, cache, dalvik cache - before flashing with Odin?
Odin defaults to 'upgrade' while preserving data.
If you didn't wipe before the Odin flash you now have a 'mix' of roms on your fon.
Edit
First try to reinstall TWRP using Odin.
If that fails proceed as below.
Since you can't go into recovery to wipe anymore, retry Odin but select Re-Partition under options.
If that fails use SmartSwitch emergency recovery.
You're such a flash whore! . Like me :silly:
Good Luck!

Hi Team,
I had used KIES to upgrade to DDLF2.
Then used CF-Root and was successful in rooting.
Was impressed in Avatar ROM and wanted to try it.
As mentioned in the thread i followed the steps:
1) Took a NANDROID backup using CWM Tools
2) Copied the backup to my computer
3) Downloaded the Avatar ZIP to my SD Card
4) Opened the phone in Recovery mode
5) Did Wipe Data/Factory reset
6) Did Wipe cache partition
7) Flashed the Avatar ZIP file
But it is when i when it struck me that I have forgotten to include the Gapps package. But couldn't do anything as phone didn't reboot properly.
So i was stuck in the recovery screen. So thought of doing a restore of Stock ROM.
1) Did Wipe Data/Factory reset
2) Did Wipe cache partition
3) Did Restore from the nandroid backup
It is where the failure happened. I got some error (yesterday night).
Now my phone doesn't load after the BOOT Image and it doesn't open in recovery mode.
But phone loads in DOWNLOAD mode. So I tried connecting the phone to computer and opening in ODIN.
But now my phone is not detected in the ODIN.
I have downloaded the DDLF2 stock ROM from the thread. I am using Odin 1.85.
Could some one help me please.
Thanks for all your support.

Thanks friend. Followed ur instructions. After installing the samsung drivers, my phone is detected in Odin.
I have downloaded "I9003DDLF2_I9003ODDLF2_INU.zip" from "[ROM] STOCK ROMS for GALAXY SL I9003 {NOW GINGERBREAD 2.3.6}".
I referred the thread "[i9003][ROM] i9003 XXKPH (Gingerbread 2.3.4) Feedback", and found the instructions
Flash procedure:
- Flashed clean XXKPE. Factory reset and flashed KPH as PDA.
- Flashed the Battery_Fix KPE CWM and rooted using SOC 1.9.1. That version seems to work flawlessly everytime. (Its advisable to flash a XXKPH CWM and root without all the PDA hopping.)
- Flashed the normalboot.img from KPH.
- Deodexed using xUltimate 2.8
- Restored user apps with TB.
- Flashed amit's XXKPE CWM (No longer available. Use Skin's "CWM only" for XXKPH from his thread.)
Could you suggest me what has to be done now?
I just tried flashing Liquid 2.7 on my S3 using TWRP. Cleared cache and Dalvik, then rebooted. Saw some text then the Samsung logo. Then two 'droids dancing. Then nothing. Nada. Black screen. Not responsive to the power button. Eek!
VZW S3, bootlocker unlocked, stock rooted 4.1.2 to begin with.

Post the file name of the zip you flashed. When flashing roms, you should either wipe
1) Factory reset, cache, and dalvik then flash your rom
2) System and Factory Reset then flash your rom
Can you access download mode or recovery?
Liquid-JB-v2.7-OFFICIAL-d2vzw-schi535.zip
Yes, I can get into recovery. I have backups if I need to restore (assuming I can navigate the process correctly).

So I decided to restore my TWRP backup from last night. Entered "Restore" in TWRP, selected the backup, and swiped to restore... FAILED! "Failed to wipe /system"
[Reboot]
"You do not appear to be rooted. Root now?"
[Yes]
Continued reboot, now stuck on the "Samsung Galaxy SIII" splash screen. Letting it cogitate for a bit, but seems like it should have moved by now.

Hmmm... tried another restore, did a TWRP system wipe first. The restoration says it completed... and... wait for it... booting normally! So far so good, at least I appear to be back to where I was before my pre-ROM-flash debacle.
The one response I received (thank you, SlimSnoopOS) was as follows:
1) Factory reset, cache, and dalvik then flash your rom
2) System and Factory Reset then flash your rom
Any other suggestions? Also, I'm not wed to the idea of the Liquid ROM over the others... anyone recommend I start with a different ROM, now that I'm back to square one?

No problem. As for your issue, its fairly simple actually. What you need to do is a clean flash which is either of the two steps I listed earlier. You're trying to go from TW to AOSP but what you did was only wipe the cache then flashed the rom. Wiping cache and dalvik cache is regarded as a dirty flash, something you only do when flashing a newer version of the rom you're on. You never fully removed the TW rom before flashing Liquid which is why it did not boot. Basically, when you want to flash a new rom, by a different developer, you need to do 1 or 2 in order to have a successful flash.
For AOSP roms, you should also be flashing the recommended GApps (Google Apps) as well so that you have your Play Store and a few other Google Apps. The latest "generic" gapps zip is listed here at the top, its "20120301" which is March 1st. Liquid may have their own, that's for you to find out via their thread. Google apps are included in TW roms so this is not necessary.
2 days ago i was just going around my advanced junk with clean master app. there was a filed named empty folders which was 11 mb in advanced junk section, so i cleared the file and went to play angry birds, then suddenly it stuck and rebooted. :'( now every time it boots up, shows the boot image, starts the cyanogenmod boot animation and then the boot animation stucks and then the whole process again...REBOOT LOOP
i tried every thing till now:
1. tried to install stock rom through odin but still shows cyanogenmod animation and reboot loops
2.tried to install different recovery but the recovery doesn't change also.
3. tried to install a different rom for eg: PAC rom. it installs but it still shows cyanogenmod
4. also now i tried to install stock firmware with pit file but it still shows cyanogenmod animation.
AND MY WARRANTY WAS EXPIRED MONTHS AGO
i think there is a problem with the partition or something... i dont know how to fix it
SOMEONE PLZ HELP ME!
Have you tried downloading the stock Samsung Firmware and flash it thru Odin don't use pit file unless you're partiitions Are messed up

If you are able to boot to recovery, can't you wipe completely? (System, cache, data) Once CM is gone you should be able to install other Rom. I'm a little confused how CM could continue to boot if it has been wiped from phone...

You can flash a Custom-Recovery using Odin.
You´ll find a link latest recoverys in my signature.
If Stock Recovery still boots you need to uncheck "Auto-Reboot" in Odin. When Odin finished flashing, wait 1 minute to be sure. Then directly boot into recovery from download-mode and enjoy the custom recovery.
This will increase your flashcounter!
Put your Rom & Gapps on your MicroSD Card
In CWM / CWM based recoverys:
Wipe Cache
Wipe Dalvic Cache
Wipe Data Factory Reset
format /system
fromat /data and /data/media (this will format your internal sd! be sure your rom placed on microSD card)
flash the rom
reboot (first boot can take ~30 minutes - if it still bootloops: something´s worng )
if everything working:
reboot recovery
flash gapps
reboot
Strange that reflashing the system didn't help. You could try it with an other recovery?
I rooted my device(galaxy ace duos i589) and also make a nandroid backup using online nandroid backup app available from playstore.I didn't find any cwm for this device but some temporary ones which worked. But in system recovery I choosed that "test redbend fota[fs]" and my device went in a bootloop i.e it got stuck on samsung logo on starting.I can go into download mode but I can't go into recovery mode.I don't know how to unbrick this soft bricked device and really appreciate a help in unbricking the device.
Also I am not able to find odin files for this device.

I also have the same issue. I gave to Samsung service and they also returned saying Motherboard has to be replaced for Rs 7000. I have the i589 PDA files for ODIN and tried reflashing in Download mode, but flash not progressing and ending as Failure.
Can anyone please advise?
Rajesh
When flashing make sure to wipe everything!
Do it as follow
Wipe Data, Factory Reset
Wipe All Data – Preflash
Wipe Cache
Wipe Davik Cache
Then just reboot.

I have a custom rom downloaded. But to flash it, I need to erase everything. That I am unable to do because the recovery dosent wipe data. It led to a bootloop. I got back the stock firmware and tried again and same result. Further more, I cant even factory reset. I'm using TWRP 3.0. Someone please help!

Try this
1. Reboot to recovery (TWRP)
2. Select wipe.
3. Select advanced wipe.
4. Check system.
5. Repair or change file system.
6. Select change file system.
7. Select format type.
8. Swipe to change.
9. Select repair.
there is one problem with stock rom. its encrypts the data partition right after installing stock rom, therefore twrp can't access data partition. i had similar problem earlier. this is how i managed to fix.
solution: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=67980158&postcount=7
i suggest you to stick with stock rom, because right now whatever roms or recoveries are made for this phone are blindly ported (just copy paste roms). i have tried about 3-4 roms for this phone, all had major bugs especially battery related. there is only one developer who made a stable rom so far is beingtejas, search his thread. if you really want to use a custom rom, try THIS rom made by gaurav kesarwani with help of beingtejas that is why i am suggesting it you otherwise it didn't worked for me atleast.
