Any root/roms/recovery available yet for the Verizon Moto G?
I just upgraded mine to Lollipop from KitKat 4.4.4 if that helps...
I would be interested in helping you test anything pertaining to this as my Moto G is not my daily driver (I have my Moto X and Moto E for that) and it has a cracked screen, and not enough storage for all my stuff (my music collection exceeds 20GB easily).

I'm looking to get my mom on a framily group on sprint but when I went to look at the phones available I didn't see the moto g. This would be the perfect phone for her because she wont be doing much on it. Anyone know if there is a moto g compatible with the sprint network. I guess my next question would be is there anything like the moto g(droid mini, razr i) that would work on the sprint network.

Zenfone or moto g 2nd gen?? I know moto will offer guaranteed future update. but in very less price zenfone offering better hardware. So what you guys suggest?

I recommend the Moto G as it is practically guaranteed future updates to at least Android 5.0, also the Moto G has almost stock Android experiance with a better screen.
I personally own a Moto G (1st Gen) and love it so much I've recommended it to most people for a cheap powerful Android phone and I'm sure the 2nd Gen will not disapoint.
Also if price is an issue then go for the 1st gen Moto G as it should drop in price due to launch of the Moto G 4G and Moto G 2nd gen

But zenfone have 2gb ram but moto g 2014 have 1gb ram. Will it not give any performance effect?
Sometimes specs don't make a difference. I would pick the Moto G any day

I know people have tried importing spotlight player from moto x bit as far as i could see, nobody was able to use it on any other device.
I own moto g gen 2 xt1068 and i would be grateful if somebody could post the apk file from moto g 4g edition!
Only moto x n moto g 4g have permission to install spotlight player, moto g gen 2 being similar to moto g 4g should also be compatible i guess??
This really sucks. I wonder if there is any chance it will be released at a later date?
I don't understand why there can be a Moto X 2015 for Verizon but not a Moto G 2015?
i agree, i hate the new moto x, looks like a note. the g is just the right size
I was planning to get a Verizon moto G for my wife! Looks like I wont be able to do so.
I would like to get the Moto G 2015 3rd gen with 2GB of ram and 16GB storage. But when I got to just about every place on the web, they only have the 1GB ram version. Has the 2GB version been released yet or is it just out of stock? Also does the Moto G have active display with the Moto X? Meaning can I just wave my hand over the phone and it will show me info....
Thanks

The case here in Brazil is that the 16GB/2GB model is only available through Moto Maker.
According to this post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=62141422&postcount=3), it may as well be the case in the US.
Aw OK got it. What about the hand swipe thing. Is it like the Moto X, where I just wave my hand over the phone and it displays notifications?
