Have you made sure that your device isn't actually rooted, or has an unlocked bootloader then?

It's working now. From my experience, every time there's an update for the Chinese version, Android pay will stop working for a few days (usually less than a week). So if you want your Android pay to work without interruption, just wait a week a so after you receive the notice for a fw update.

Android 5.1.1 Update for AT&T G Flex 2 Unlocked in India.

Alright So I just got the G Flex 2 here in India, it's a AT&T device which is unlocked to work on all networks. the phone is currently running 5.0.1 which is Slow and laggy and heats up bad and I desperately need to update it to 5.1.1 even if it's not the latest one. I'm not too technical and can't flash anything so maybe a simple install package or something is available which would be helpful.
also, since I tried to check the update after manually taking the date forward and took it like 2-3 months ahead I can't check for updates till 2351 hours so maybe a work around with that too, please. I have a stable WIFI connection at my disposal.:good:
you can upgrade with H950PR A 5.1.1 , HAS A POST OF HOW TO MAKE THE PROCESS , I FEEL MY BAD ENGLISH

Faceunlock not working

Hi,
With the latest update, I got the faceunlock funktionality. If I try to the register my face, I always get the error message, that face recognition is not possible. Any Ideas?
I heve similar issue. My Honor came wiht 80.0.120 software. There is no face unlock full option. Only locscreen messages. OTA can't see any other (130) update. I have bought this phone in Germay and I am using it in Poland. Any ideas?
Hello, I just got this phone yesterday. It came with 120 (C432) software version and the November security patch. To be able to Face unlock the device, we have to have build version 130 with January security patch. I'm still waiting for the update to hit my Honor View 10.
Is there any way to update it to 8.0.0.130 manually? Honor Poland claims that I can't get official OTA update becouse my region is not supproted.
I have recieved information from Germn Honor Customer Service that my phone will be updated not later than 19th March 2018. Maybe yours also will be affected in the same time.

Where did you get your phone from? Is it unlocked?
I got mine from Amazon.de last week and it was on 80.0.120 but updated itself to 8.0.0.130 (C432) immediately after first boot.
I have bought it in Poland. But it is from german distribution. I do not know if it is unlocked? I don't think so. It is strange. I thought that it will update after first boot. But nothing happened.
I received several updates over HiCare, but didn't get the 130 update. Did anyone tried to update via HiSuite?

Guys,
you're definetly offtopic...
I just got the info from Huawei Germany, that face recognition is not yet released. You can see it but not use it.

No. All stock.
No problem with 130 OTA and face unlock. I'm in Switzerland, bootloader unlocked, not (yet) rooted.
Edit:
Now it's rooted, still ok. Even with this settings :
Works well. It depends on how you have configured, as per attached
As German huawei service claims today is the day. Have any of you received 130 update in Germany?

This is a new message from honor service:
thank you very much for your reply on this case.
It usually takes up to 8 weeks after this release date to complete the roll out within 4 waves of updates being sent out.
For the current time being, I can only kindly ask for your patience, you will definitely receive the update until the 12th May via OTA (Over-the-Air) as download notification on your phone.

Basically they keep pushing the ETA to further date.... nice. [emoji16]Just like Honor USA open source masquerade (aka advertising).
I contacted the German support yesterday once again regarding the update and they manually requested it for me. Basically I have to wait for 2 more months for the update, and I'm still on 120 version. I'm very disappointed with the Honor right now.

That's correct. I have a rom that I want to use that's on Marshmallow and since I know I can't downgrade from bootloader version 5 I'm sending this phone back that just got to my house today.
Edit: I know I said bootloader version 6 but I meant the first bootloader version with Android Marshmallow.

Damn good luck in your search I'm still on marshmallow myself cause these newer android versions have difficulty with mods like viperFX and more importantly xposed can't leave home without that.. [emoji817]

Yeah it sucks and everyone on Ebay and Amazon is claiming it is and it gets here on bootloader version 5 no where near Marshmallow! I figured I'd try here for a change since I know there's got to be some people like me that deal with phones every day and probably have one in a drawer somewhere! Hopefully anyway! Thanks though!
You might do some more research. I have heard that while Odin won't let you downgrade a bootloader, TWRP will. The "lock" isn't in the phone; it is in Odin. I haven't tried it (or needed to), so I'm not certain that it works. This means, of course, that you need to find a ROM (w/ bootloader) or standalone bootloader in TWRP zip format.

EU rom questions

ToneLa said:
It's not only the best phone I've ever used, I think it's clearly far & away the best in class for a phone today and I genuinely want it to raise bars for what's possible with the hardware. As a package, it's remarkable. Best in class overall & in many areas.
I just love it. Nothing is a disappointment. Getting on the xiaomi.eu ROM negated the ill effects of importing a deGoogled phone. It's reliable, charges in ludicrously quick time, is a fantastic camera, seems unofficially pretty splashproof. Feels good, looks good, sounds good, works with everything
Yes, it gets five snowflakes

Interesting, I just got mine and was thinking about jumping on that eu rom as well, do you know if its an official rom or if its unsupported? and how will we get updates if we use it?

based on official, but not official. They do updates over the air normally but not til TWRP is ready. They're a solid group, used them before when I had a Mi 9. From a readme:
> Xiaomi Europe was founded [...] to provide [...] an exlcusive community for English MIUI Android and Xiaomi products. Since 2010 our web site has officially worked with Xiaomi on a variety of projects for APP translations and bug fixing and is a major part of today's Xiaomi Global ROM experience thanks to the great team at xiaomi.eu and its community.

trust them.
Get yourself on to the EU ROM. I know it's going to take a week to get unlocked but it's well worth while. The EU ROM makes this a superb phone and I've come from a Huawei P40 Pro plus that photographically may be better but there is not much in it. I just love this phone now. Got a couple of cases coming and a better screen cover protector.

Ok is there a way back to getting the phone "locked" again on stock rom if i want to return ?
Why do you want it locked again? The EU ROM shows no security issues, it passed every test.
On the Chinese ROM, I couldn't use my Sky Q as it said it wasn't secure and that was before flashing. Now I can use it. Is there a reason you need it locked?
You can flash the Chinese stock ROM if you do want. I have done to test but come back to the EU version. If you need a link to the stock let me know, I did put instructions on the Xiaomi forum but can copy it here.

I mean if i want to return it to default to be able to sell it. Also 2 questions, does the windows way work or not because i read there's issues in the bat file and only linux works. I dont have access to a linux machine currently. 2nd question, when twrp is ready, until then we will have to flash ourselves until twrp is ready to be able to do OTA?
We've found a fix for the windows method which involves swapping out the fastboot. It's all there in the thread for it, I promise...this is for overall love
And if you may sell it, unless you are going to sell to a Chinese person, I think they will appreciate not having to do the change from the Chinese version.
There are warnings about relocking and the possibility of bricking but you can always flash the stock Chinese version again like I did to test it and then back to EU ROM. Unlocking will bind your Mi account to you phones hardware but this can be swapped to another user if you sell.

Unfortunately not. You will have to wait 168 hours ( 1 week). No way round it as the hardware will be locked to your Mi account during the process.

What are the benefits of EU Rom? I have removed all bloat on China ROM and it's doing fine. Just having and issue of high power consumption of Google Play Services and mdnsd.
See attached screenshots. Plus battery lasts longer, no issues with notification and it reports it's fully secure. For me, it refused to run skyq as the app said it was not secure. Using the EU ROM, it's happy. Have a look at the attached.
How long does Xiaomi normally support their devices? How many "Major" android upgrades do the provide? Like from 10 to 11? And if we went through the EU Rom route will they provide updates for longer?

General The new C5 update causes lag in some applications

Today my neo 2 was updated and it started to have lag using some apps (twitter, play store...)
I do not recommend updating to this version
I confirm that I've similar issues with some apps, more precisely with the apps (play store, reddit, firefox...) where the screen frequency goes from 120 Hz to 60 Hz.
Same here, after applying the lateste C05 update

I dont go upgrade to c.05.
For the things I read about c.05 I prefer keep my in c.04.
there's a new c.06 updates for indian rom. After the updates, all my games are laggy and fps are dropping. Even after restart, it run smoothly for couple of minutes then lag after. I'm trying to reset my devices now.

Same here on C05 (global) since a few days and it's terrible, some apps work fine but Twitter, play store and a few other feel like they work on 10FPS. Will a phone reset work or is it just a bugfest update ?

Someone on official forum said factory reset kinda helps a little, but honestly I doubt it because a lot of other people said it doesn't help at all. Maybe you can try it and confirm it for the rest of the people here because I'm still happily chilling in C.02 Global.

Curious question. Do these problems apply to the global version only? I'm on the EU version (in Sweden) and I have upgraded to the C.05 and I don't have lag. Same experience as with C.04 - actually batterywise it seems a tad better (a bit early to say for sure, though).

I'm not quite sure. Before downgrade, I am on Indian rom and updated to C.06 and this cause the lag. I decided to go to global rom just in case downgrading back to older version of indian rom cannot fix the lag.
