Strange battery behaviour after upgrading to MIUI 8 - Xiaomi Mi 4C

Hey guys,
since I upgraded my 4C to MIUI8 I've noticed the battery life has become horrible...
With MIUI7 I was able to get a nearly flat graph during night while now... well, see screenshot below

Bad, right?
Is anyone having the same issue? Should I consider replacing my battery or maybe trying a different ROM? or maybe go back to MIUI 7.
It's really annoying.
Any comments is appreciated
Thank you!!
[I'm currently on xiaomi.eu 8.2.1]

Well this does not say anything. Show us software and hardware usage as well as SOT.
You can get 5h of SOT with 12 h from last charge, which is pretty decent.

[Q] Battery life

Hi guys, I´m here 'cause I would like to know about your Xperia Miro battery life. I usually get about 7 hours of screen per charge but I don't know why, in battery stats I have about a 20 or 30 % of Android OS battery drain. Is that normal? Some friends who have Xperia P and S also get about that drain but I'm not sure. How is your battery life? Do you have a huge battery drain from Android OS too? Thanks!!

What? Battery drain? Of course all phones, no matter what android version, will drain batt if you use it excessively. 24/7 facebook, email update every 10min, with max brightness, youre lucky if you can even last 4 hours with that 1500mah batt. Come on, think about it. An old skool nokia 1200 can last a week with its low 950mah batt.

I do not have facebook, e-mail syncronization is off. I read my own gmail cause I dont actually receive several mails, brightness is about 25% Im not worried about battery drain but specific Android OS drain. But I think it is not a crazy drain. Thanks for your answer!

It's worth to buy it?

Hello everyone,
I'm a XPERIA [emoji769] Z5 owner and I really love it.The biggest problem of this Z5 for me is the heating and poor SOT and battery life overall.. And the rest are awesome! The best screen quality, smooth experience, speaker quality and the beautiful design.
I have been looking the xz premium for some months and It's just impressive for me! What impressed me with this xzp :
1, 4k hdr display
2, Snapdragon 835(lower energy consumption and more efficient, not the same problem of 810)
3, great battery life and SOT (Screen on time)
4, super slow motion 960fps and improvements on the camera
I love my Z5 but sometimes I can't hold it because the heat and the poor battery life. In summer it will be a barbecue when I turn on the mobile data, the battery can't last until noon.
Someone say that the SD835 has problems of WiFi Connection, sometimes the WiFi Connection cut, I would like to know if it is really annoying the daily uses.
Should I buy it from a Z5 owner? How is your experience with it and how many is the difference between the Z5 and the xz premium? Will it heat somehow? The battery life and SOT on it for a heavy user?
My Z5 has only 4h 40 minutes of SOT from 100% to 2% with the mobile data.

The Z5 is awful. You can't run anything or do much on it without getting so hot. It will be a nice upgrade but not too much. Yes, you wont' have to worry about it getting hot. No more of that, it does get a little warm but not the extreme of the Z5. The battery life is awesome. After a full day and coming home around dinner time, my batter is around 50%-65%.
Other than that, nothing really changes much. You really upgrading for longer battery life and no more burning your hands.

Hello chillingrsx, thx for the answer, yes, I can't do anything on my Z5 because this will be hot running anythings about 15 minutes. I think it will be the perfect phone without the problem of battery and heat.

i have just flashed a Italian Version firmware to my Z5 which is running with Spanish's one, and everything bravo!! For the flash of a firmware I'm sure it's not necessary to unlock the bootloader, I have the bootloader locked and flashed it.
I used the latest version of FlashTool, downloaded the firmware in the XperiFirm in the FlashTool, a option with XF logo, and then flash it with FlashTool, I don't know if there are some differences with xz premium or if it's supported to xz premium.
The firmware, I thinks the US Version is not available fingerprint function and MHL function in it, so it's better others. If you live in America, version of some countries of South America? I live in Spain and I think will be working the baseband of Italian in Spain, it's similary those two countries and very nearly.

Battery Drain issue with MI A1

Hi All,
I have been using MI A1 for 4 months. Everything went fine till March Security Patch, once I updated it to April Patch the battery drain issue started. To resolve it I took it to Service centre and after detailed analysis, they came to a conclusion that there is a problem with Battery and they replaced it but it didn't resolve the issue. I requested them to install Nougat as the last measure. With Nougat the issue the battery drain issue was resolved but it created a new problem of charging.
With Oreo 8.0.0:
Charging time: Approx 90 Minutes.
Screen Usage time: 2 hours. "Battery Drains excessively when the phone is at standby.
With Nougat :
Charging time: 6 Hours.
Screen Usage time: 4 Hours.
Can anyone let me know how to resolve the issue?
I have a similar case. I will add my information, perhaps it can help you (or others) towards the solution:
Used the phone on nougat, never updated, for about 6-8 months. Never had a problem, Deep Sleep always worked. Few days ago decided to try other ROMs.
I started with LineageOS 15.1, flashed it cleanly, but noticed that deepsleep was not working. Didn't tried to solve it, just went back to stock, this time I flashed Official Oreo (April Patch) with MiFlashTool.
Still Deep Sleep didn't work. I had no apps installed, and DeepSleep was not working out of the box with a clean flashed Official build.
Using "Kernel Auditor" app or "CPU Spy", I could see that DeepSleep was almost never used.
Using "Wakelock Detector [root]" I noticed that something called "7000000.ssusb" is waking the kernel very frequently, like 3 times per second!
On google, there's a lot of people with this 7000000.ssusb problem keeping the device from deepsleeping, but I couldn't find anyone that fixed it.
Additionally, I've seen a few people complaining about deepsleep/battery issues on latest builds of LineageOS (not many) and on RR (quite a few!).}
Good luck with this problem. It's really annoying ^^
My A1 is working completly fine with latest stock firmware. I use apps like Messenger, Instagram and more and I get more than 6 hours of SoT. No modifications made, no root, no custom ROM - everything stock. Maybe your battery has to calibrate or something? Actually my phone was draining for the first time I got it but after few weeks battery got much better and sometimes I get 7,5 hrs of SoT (depends on usage).

Do you use it in 4G (LTE) or WiFi, or which kind of connection?
suppose you have the mi a1 out of the box untouched and unmodified
and you update to oreo, and you want to go back.
can anyone tell me what are the steps that i need to follow?
download MiFlashTool
download nougot firmware
what settings i need to enter in miflashtool to flash correctly?
that 6hour to charge the battery is very bad
Maybe it's a charger related issue. 1 h 40 mins its normal.

Battery Drain issue with MI A1 | Xiaomi Mi A1
I was thinking of waiting for Official Oreo 8.1 and if still doesn't resolve the issue then I will downgrade to Nougat. If it works fine on Nougat then I will have to fight with Xiaomi to replace my mobile or to provide a permanent solution for it. The main reason to buy MI A1 was having stock Android experience.

I've read that 8.1 will fix some battery issues, so wait and try it out. Another question, what about your apps? Maybe you have a lot of apps running in the background and they might drain your battery.
Regarding the Apps there are no rogue apps. Because when I had Oreo reinstalled again without any apps the issue was still there. The beauty of Oreo is one time I see an app consuming more battery and then I uninstall it. The next time it's a different app. So apps have not made any difference.
My friend had a problem just like you, but after he changed the sim with another one from another network everything returnet to normal.
Try using brevent to standby or force close apps after they're closed using back button. Considerably improves battery life, at least for me.
O god 6hrs of charging time

Got my android 10 update in the Netherlands

Seems to work ok.
Keep you informed
edit 21:12: Few days working now. No problems so far. I like the improvement on settings, like alternative face in recognition part, for the rest I am not very thrilled. Maybe battery will be better. Difficult to check...

I test my phone's battery always the same way. Not sure if it is the best way, but it helps me:
I charge it to 100% before going to sleep and leave everything like Sync, Wifi and Bluetooth on.
With GSAM I got 0.7 till 0.8% per hour while sleeping, so from 100 till appr. 94% left.
With Android 10 it started at .1% per hour discharging, but it is is back now at 0.8%. Thats is OK to me.
Be careful. It is location dependent. I have another appartment that gives me 0,12% all the time because (I think) Vodafone antenna is further away.

Custom ROM for GM1913

I have an unbranded OP7P GM1913 on 10.0.5.GM21BA with NoLimits 10.2 debloat
The battery life (standby) is unsatisfactory. I basically never use the phone so its always on standby at home, but the standby drain is bad. I charge it to 70% at night and i come back from work on the next day its nearly down to 50%. I barely have anything installed. Aeroplane mode turned on. Wifi, bluetooth, and nfc turned off. I have not even given it a sim card or cell service. (its basically my spare phone) I bought it in August and its practically new. I use Battery Charge Limit and take care of the battery like a baby, never letting it drop below 40% or exceed 70%. I have not played any games on it.
So I'd like to install a custom rom that has great standby battery time. I do not need any performance boost or fancy features. Just clean and lean. I am avoiding stock rom because I dont trust the background telemetry, and all the serious debloat guides/mods are either outdated or shifted focus to newer Oneplus models.
Hope I can get some constructive replies
Thanks
Hi
CRDroid works correctly. I'm using the 7.0 version under A 11. You can try the 6.0 to begin.
