Hello all,
I have been trying to use the SP FLASH tool to obviously flash the recovery img to my mobile which is teh Prestigio 4500tduo
When ever I click the download button and then connect my mobile it picks it up for about 4-5seconds and disconnects from device manager repeatedly.
things I have tried,
Taking the battery out and holding VOL UP & POWERBUTTON
Leaving the battery in and doing the same above
Trying various of drivers
Tried different USB cables & USB ports
Does anybody know how to fix this ? as when it detects the phone the bar at the bottom of FLASH tool go's to RED & 100% then get an error of 4050 which is probably because it didn't flash correctly.
Hope someone can help me as I nearly through the mobile out of the window in frustration ha
Kind regards
Jadc

If your device appears and then disappears in device manager in 3-4 seconds, then this is normal. i think the problem is with your scatter file. download MTKDroidTool and extract scatter file from your phone, then use this file to flash recovery.
Hi there,
I somehow hard bricked my Jiayu F1 WCDMA smartphone (MTK6572) by flashing a wrong ROM (event though it was supposed to be good).
Now, I can connect the phone to the PC and it get's recognised (the bell rings), but I can't flash anything (nor format) through SP Flash Tool, which keeps bumping the "Enable DRAM FAILED" annoying error, no matter what ROM I'm trying to feed it.
I really could use some help, or at least getting a working scatter file, preloader, etc, just to rule out a fault on the flashed files' side.
Thanks a lot.

1. Uninstall all vcom, preloader and MTK drivers using USBdeview then manually install vcom drivers (you can see how to manually install MT65xx (MediaTek) USB VCOM drivers on Windows if you need help doing this)
2. Once you have vcom drivers installed, delete the SP flash tool folder then re-extract a fresh copy
3. I believe you should have go the correct backup now so go ahead and flash it using sp flash tool. you can try meta mode (flash without battery while holding volume up button) if you're still getting the error
Hello. I have big problem-
I had the TWRP om my phone with custom rom and all worked fine.
Today i wanted to get my phone back as original so i downloaded original rom.
Started SP flashtools and used android scatter file from original android rom. Everything was fine till the end of downloading (it took like 10 mins! when i got some error : S_DL_GET_DRAM_SETTING_FAIL (5054)
I tried to to the steps again, start SP flashtools, press to download, plug the cable. Heard the sound of connected USB (cable) but immediatelly i hear the disconnect of the cable with phont and i got message:
BROM ERROR: S_FT_DA_NO_RESPONSE (4001)
DA didnt responsne data to flashtools
And now i can not do nothing. When i check device manager, i see USB serial device only. No mtk, no mediatek. I tried some ways how to install the driver but idk. i am failing. I am retard oh god...
Still, i heard that there is still the way to make this phone work because it is mediatek based.
Can you guys please help me?
I am using Windows 10 but i also can use Zorin OS Linux. Windows is default.
Good damn guys i was so sad but i managed to fix the thingy and now my phone is working back again.
As most of ppl what i was able to read so far, had the problem with recognizing phone without battery. PC was not able to recognize it as Mediatek, just some random serial device. Nothing really worked and i was about to ....nvm
But what i tried is, to do NOT remove the battery. I pressed the VOLUME UP button, while i hold it and while battery was inside i started flash tool. Pressed download an dthen while i was holding the button volume UP and with battery in, it suddently was able to find the device and it flashed my phone.
Oh deear i am so happy . Maybe this will help to someone so back again
If your device is not recognized as MEDIATEK device and you need to use SP Flash Tools to flash the ROM, use the following
Remove SIM cards, SD Card
Leave battery in phone
Run sp flash tools and set your settings as you need (load scatter file from your unpacked rom)
Press the download button in SP FLash Tools
Now, still do not remove battery. Press the Volume UP button and hold it
Plug in the USB cable into PC and into Phone while you still holding the volume button
Release the volume button right in moment, when your device is plugged in and found by system (YOu hear the connected sound).
Now i believe, everything works and its flashing your phone
If not. so i was lucky as f....
Great
Thanks, this is great.
Hello,
After unlocking the bootloader and installing TWRP on my OUKITEL K6000 Plus I was trying to install madOS, but unfortunately my phone went into Orange State bootloop. I could not enter fastboot anymore, and at some point even Recovery stopped to work. My phone was almost dead. I was looking for solutions but actually there was no clear guide how to revive a patient. I found that many people have similar issue so when I finally managed to resurrect my K6000 with original stock ROM I decided to share my solution.
Here's the fix:
1. Google for 'Techprolonged MediaTek MT65xx USB VCOM Drivers'. Using the guide you will find install MediaTek DA USB VCOM Port Drivers via Device Manager (step 5). Do this even if you already previously installed MediaTek USB VCOM Drivers. This is very important to install this DA version of drivers, otherwise you may have problems with uploading stock ROM via SP Flash Tool.
2. Install SP Flash Tool if you don't have it yet. You can find it easily with google.
3. Download original stock K6000 Plus ROM V6.0. You can find it easily on needrom website (NOTE: you have to create an account on needrom if you don't have it yet). Unpack it.
4. Launch SP Flash Tool, go to Options->Option... in Connection settings change USB speed to Full speed and Battery to with battery. Close Option window.
5. In SP Flash Tool go to Download tab, click on choose right next to Scatter-loading file field, navigate to the folder where you unpacked previously downloaded stock K6000 Plus ROM V6.0. Open MT6750_Android_scatter.txt file.
6. In open menu choose Download Only if it's not selected by default. All fields below should have tick enabled. I mean for 'preloader', for 'recovery', etc...
7. Unplug your phone from PC if it's connected. Shut down your phone by clicking and holding for approx 10 secs ALL THREE BUTTONS: VOL UP + VOL DOWN + POWER. If you do this properly, your phone should not self-boot into Orange State anymore.
8. In SP Flash Tool click Download icon (the one with green arrow), all the fields should become inactive.
9. Using one hand only click and hold at the same time VOL UP + POWER button.
10. Now, while you still hold these buttons, you have to connect your phone to PC (plug in micro USB cable into your phone). VERY IMPORTANT: If you have STATUS_BROM_CMD_SEND_DA_FAIL (0xC0060003) error after you connect it means you don't have DA version of MediaTek driver properly installed (step no. 1).
11. Your phone should start to flash up and you should see the progress in SP Flash Tool status bar. You can release VOL UP and POWER button now. The process may take long time, for me it was more than 1 hour. The longest part was flashing up the [system]. The good thing is you can observe the progress during whole process.
12. When flashing process is end you will see a small window with the information about completion. Now you can unplug your phone, and launch it with POWER button. You should still see the Orange State message but right after that your phone should boot up into normal mode with freshly uploaded original stock ROM. Congratulations!
Hopefully this will also fix your K6000 Plus and maybe even other models.
I'm really sorry I don't provide any direct links, but I haven't posted 10 posts yet and my XDA account is still limited.

Please help I have error 4032 (BROM ERROR S_FT_ENABLE_DRAM_FAIL)

this should solve that
STATUS_BROM_CMD_SEND_DA_FAIL
persists even after installing correct drivers?
Solution: Choose
Download Agent as DA-PL in SP flash tools. And follow the same guide.
Thank you so much for this post, just saved an Oukitel K6000 Plus. Just finished process, rebooting normally for first use. It's been stressfull hours, what a relieve.

Thank you very much for the advice
I thought I put my phone in the trash when I read this.
But in point 9 I had to push only the VOL UP if I press the two buttons, the AP returns an error.
You saved mine as well, slavedriver!
And it is a Teclast Tpad A10S!
I had given it up.
Thanks a lot!
It works also on U20 plus. I had to select DA_SWSEC as Download Agent. Thank you so much!
Guide worked Perfectly for me.
My mobile was bricked in the same Bootloop. The guide worked perfectly for me. Thanks a lot for useful and detailed help.
I understand this thread is almost 1 year old. I tried this procedure and everything went well. The only problem the phone does not boot. It does turn on but nothing comes up. No boot menu no logo just a few flickering lights and a very dark background. Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi, do I need my phone to be rooted to do this.
I unlocked bootloader in my gionee f205 from fastboot and now it is in orange state bootloop.
I haven't rooted my phone before doing it.
Hi, I tried to flash LineageOs to a Cubot King Kong Mini using this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/general/rooting-roms/installing-custom-rom-cubot-kingkong-t4050815
I had to flash recovery_TWRP.img, lk_patched.img and vbmeta.img in order to avoid orange and red states, but I couldn't be able to run LineageOs.
Then I flashed stock rom, and the phone worked ok for a couple of hours. Then I realized that I didn't lock the bootloader, and after running the command "fastboot flashing lock" the screen went to black and buttons didn't respond.
The threat mentioned at the begining of this post, says that waitting for battery discharge will bring phone back to life again, but my battery didn't discharge for 11 days, so finally I disassembled my phone, I removed battery with the hope of getting same result as running out battery, but the problem still persist.
There is any way to solve this problem?
Finally I could bring it to live flashing stock rom with SP Flash Tool, both files downloaded from here:https://www.cubot.net/index.php/platform/Support/detail/id/311/cid/8.html (I suggest you to download the instructions posted in that site)
At first, I tried it in linux (with SP Flash Tools downloaded from another site), the last version of SP Tools didn't recognize the MT6761_Android_scatter.txt, and v5.18 recognized it, but flash process was stuck at 0%.
Then I tryed at win 10 with downloaded files from cubot website and it worked (no VCOM drivers need to be installed)
My battery was empty, but after flashing I had to wait arround 2 minutes while usb wire was connected to phone, to see the empty battery icon.
After that, I could turn on my phone.
Thanks,
