Yes it can. But not possible to downgrade to older firmware with old bootloader.

Just root it and flash any custom rom you want based on newest firmware. No point updating with 4.3 around the corner. And why update to locked bootloader if you can run a latest custom with old bootloader.

Sorry to bump this, just wondering is upgrading the baseband bring anything extra ? or it is useless and better keep old unlocked bootloader baseband and Rom based on new firmware ?

Can we flash new firmware without wiping data ??i flashed two times by just wiping data i think if u dont add CS file data wont wipe anyone has experienxce regarding thiS?

G935FD takes the same firmware as G935F

I have the US Verizon S7 Edge APB4 6.0.1 firmware available here. This is the newest firmware and any other S7 Edge Verizon firmware will he uploaded in the same thread for fast and easy access.

I downloaded and extracted the latest firmware the bootloader was new but the modem was the old GBPB modem from around march. If people want it I will upload when I get back from holiday on Tuesday but I haven't bothered applying it

i need latest bootloader and modem for my sprint unlocked sm 900p which i am usin in india..i didnt find it anywhere..can anyone help..my signal unstability is not allowing me to use this phone at all..continously the signal waivers

Update: Latest for EU as of now!
Modem: CP_N9005XXUGBPI1 and bootloader as well: BL_N9005XXUGBPH2.
They came straight from a stock 5.0 ROM on sammobile (Luxembourg and Spain ROM).
I have extracted them from the fw and they are flashable in Odin.
Re-upped them to zippyshare (~5mb/s speed no wait time and free) for you as a package including Odin flashtool and USB drivers.

Sm j7108 firmware needed!

I got j7108 that costumer was trying to root it and it's now write me:
kernel is not seandroid enforcing
Custom binary blocked by FRP lock
I need firmware to try to flash and fix it.

Hey, I am having the same problem. Is your SM-J7108 HongKong version? You need to flash stock firmware to fix it, but I can't seem to find it anywhere on the Internet.

I need Hk version stock firmware for 5.1.1 or frp wont let me flash other firmware. :crying:

There is now an official 6.01 marshmallow available. This is the Hong Kong firmware with Google services. It works perfectly on my China Mobile J7108 which was originally J7108ZMU1APG4

This is brand new this month. The previous Hong Kong firmware was android 5.1.1 even though the website said its 6.01. This one really is 6.01

I have the s8+ UK on contract with 3 I am wondering if I can flash the oreo beta with odin my phone is completely stock I would like to keep it stock without triggering Knox any ideas.
I done this with nougat beta on the s7 edge

Its from the samfirm tool, type your model and region use BTU, then make sure auto is checked. Use ODIN to flash the files (will wipe data as you need to flash the CSC_OXM)

Home CSC will keep whatever your current one is and the beta won't be available.
I flashed the "CSC_OXM" file, IT WILL WIPE YOUR DATA! so make sure you backup anything you wish to keep!
