[Q] How the heck do I get a Samsung Distributor Certification in GWD? - Samsung Gear S3

Trying to build a tutorial face in Gear Watch Designer (1.3 Mac). I get to the point where it's time to test on device. A pop up says I need a Samsung Distributor Certification and asks to request one.
It pops up a screen asking me to login. I type in my credentials and then the whole certificate screen goes away, taking me back to the build menu. Then the process repeats itself.
I've read that Gear Watch Designer 1.2.1 is better, but can't find a Mac download link. Anybody have it or have suggestions how to fix the certification issue mentioned above?

Did you ever get a solution for this? Having the same problem on 1.6.0 beta, except the whole app just closes.

Had to load the app in Windows (Virtual PC), then copy the license files over to my Mac. That was years ago though. They still haven't fixed it?

Sadly no, did the same except on a Windows PC. For some reason its impossible to genrate certificates on a Mac?

I made the world's lamest app because my wife won't let me squish spiders... She wants me to take it outside. I called it Spider Squisher.
I signed up for a Google developer account about 1 month ago and now I am trying to upload my app. When go to https://market.android.com/publish and try to publish an app. I
1. select the app by clicking browse
2. click upload
3. receive the following dialog box pop-up

Then
4. when I click back, I get a dialog popup that says

5. I click back again after clicking OK on the dialog and I get to my developer console.
6. I click "edit profile" or "Setup Merchant Account" and it takes me back to the Android Developer Console (basically refreshes the page Https://market.anrdoid.com/publish/Home)

I opened up a java console and see a whole bunch of errors relating to border-radius, align, cursor, zoom, user-select, and filter on the market.android.com/publish/gwt/*.css... about 20 warnings in all. Nothing I can point a finger at though.
What's going on? I'm flipping out here... I just want to publish this stupid apk file myself.
I have my receipt to the android market. It's linked to my google account. It's been over a month and I'm still receiving this message

The market is pretty buggy at times, last weekend i tried for 3 days to update an app without success.
I had the exact same error you had, after sometime i just said f*** this and went to sleep. Sometime next day it worked.
Don't give up hope!
K... I've been trying for 2 days now.
Somewhere i also read that he had the same message, which was very misleading because he got it as he was not yet fully unlocked to use the market.
Seems you are not either? Maybe this could be it too.
They wire you some cents money, which you have to type into a field to complete registration, did you do that?

That is for a sales account. I did not set that portion up. I am not accepting money for this. However, I i tried, and It's doing the same thing as clicking on my account which I mentioned earlier. The market appears to be fully broken and inoperative here. I just don't understand. Who can we call about this?
No one.
You can probably fill out a form somewhere, thats the google way im afraid.
They don't support phonesupport.
I can't find the form... that's why im here on the forums. I could not find a form or email address.
Can anyone help me? Where do I contact google market?
Here is the form http://www.google.com/support/androidmarket/bin/request.py?contact_type=publishing
Litterally, within 1 minute of hitting submit, I received an email apologizing for the delay.
Now when I log into the developer console I see

[APP] PSXPERIA Is there still support for this? Need some help

Is there still any support for this?
I'm inching closer and closer to getting this thing working, but I need some help.
Originally, I got an error saying the APK file was incompatible, but people said ignore that and just go on. Obviously that didn't work, when I tried to open the game a popup saying "Updating..." came up, then closed, and went back to my homescreen, no errors or anything, it just closed.
I did this on both V1 and V2 Beta, same problem.
Then I found the 1.0.3 APK file of Crash Bandicoot. Used V1 to convert, SWEET I thought it had worked. But then after the initial PSX Pocket loading screen, I got an error saying the data was corrupted and would need to be redownloaded.
I read up more on it, one person said this was likely caused by the person copying the data folder files BEFORE installing the APK. So I installed the APK, it forced closed obviously because theres no data. Then I copied over the data folder, same problem.
Then I tried using V2 Beta, installing the APK, then transfering the data folder, now it wont even even go into the emulator, it does the whole "updating..." popup then just closes.
After that I used V2 Beta, copied the data over, and then installed the APK. I get the same god damn "updating..."
Can ANYONE help me or should I just forget this program.
As I said I'm using a Crash Bandicoot 1.0.3 USA I got online. I have to use the 94900 zpak off my phone as I cant find the 00344 zpak online ANYWHERE.
Is that my problem though? Do I need to find the matching ZPAK file to the APK?
Can anyone share these files somehow? The closest I got was using V1 with the 1.0.3 apk, it just says the data corrupt, if I can get past that I'm good. But there NO information about it online.
Forgot to mention, I'm using an R800A, rooted, with a locked bootloader. Think it would make a difference if I unlocked the bootloader, and loaded R800i onto it?

EnableFlash for Windows 8 (RT w/JailBreak)

This is a utility which allows you to whitelist flash (Enable Adobe Flash) on any website. on Metro IE
Mainly, this is intended for RT tablets, as they do not have any other way of displaying flash content.
Metro apps are installed via "Developer License"
This means that they will expire, and need to be reactivated/reinstalled. If the share
feature disappears, just rerun the installation.
Feature List:
Automates the white-listing of Flash websites using the "Share" function
Clears History, to save you the trouble of doing it manually.
This utility installs on any Windows 8 machine, Natively on x86, and on RT if jailbroken.
You need to simply share the page which has flash content (not whitelisted), and click the "Enable Flash" Icon.
The utility will download any details about the page that it can, and it will give you an option to select which ones you
want to whitelist. Once you've selected your targets,
Click the "Do it" button, and you will be given an option to clear your history.
When that's done, go back to the page and refresh. That's it! Enjoy!
NOTE: Internet Explorer automatically resets the compatibility list, which means that sites you add will stop working after a while.
Follow these steps to prevent that.
1) Go to Desktop IE
2) Press the "alt" key once. the menu bar will show up.
3) Navigate to Tools > Compatibility View Settings.
4) Deselect "Download updated compatibility lists from Microsoft"
5) Click "Close".
To Install:
Latest Version
http://barsuleo.com/enable-flash-nonet-1.0.3.zip
ADDED: Avoiding duplicate whitelisting.
ADDED Whitelist sanitization (locate/remove duplicate entries)
The new version clears ONLY your browsing history, leaving your cookies, and other desirable data in place.
Should be pretty helpful.
http://barsuleo.com/enable-flash-nonet-1.0.2.zip
http://barsuleo.com/enable-flash-nonet-1.0.0.zip
Extract, then run "Install.exe"
Make sure you select Yes[y], or Run[r] through all the prompts.
Please be aware that if you want to run this on an RT Tablet, e.g. Surface, you need this jailbreak.
Enjoy!
Changes:
Changed to File-based system vs. Networking
Now it works!

Great work so far!
I still keep running into some errors though:
- It seems to be searching for a whitelist-srv.exe process - only srv.exe running on my device --> communication error
- It doesn't support the germanic umlaut (ä, ö, ü) in any of the folders names (my Username)
also another button to enable flash, but without clearing browser history would be nice (e.g. "Not this time")
I can confirm this bug too

I do not currently have an account with non-ansi characters, but i will run through that asap. It may be that the issue was with communication, which i've fixed. Anyways, if you run into more issues, shoot it on the post.
EDIT: Changed some encoding settings in the setup file, should work.
Your are more than welcome.
I have tryV3 with the instalation that you suggested (killing the srv.exe process first), but I still have the communication error.
"Please make sure that the service [srv.exe] is running"
Will look into it asap.

I will add some more debugging info on the next version. I've tested it on every machine that I have and it seems to work. :/
You can also try to launch the server service manually from /bin/srv.exe.
Also, when you first launch it, it asks for network access permissions. make sure you allow it, otherwise it won't work.
weird
even after update to 1.0.3 it seems to search for whitelist-srv.exe, and doesn't seem to find the server, even though i renamed the process to whitelist-srv
i don't really get that
A few things:
Redownload 1.0.3. rerun the install.
if your error actually says "whitelist-srv.exe", the app didn't reinstall. if it says "srv.exe",
kill "FlashUpdate Server" from taskmanager. then run "RunFlashServer.exe" from the download zip file.

PlayJam Gamestick: open port: possible ADB over wifi?

Hey guys!
I recently got a Gamestick. I already tried a lot of things to get under the hood, I am unsuccessful so far.
I have discovered the Gamestick has an open port, number 7002. It appears to be an adb bridge, as typing:
Code:
adb connect <gamestick_ip>:7002
on my PC yields a succesful connection, however, "adb devices" then says that the device is offline.
Has anyone with a bit more know-how (and a Gamestick) tried this? This device looks really useful, but it's locked down and very limited in what it can do right now. I want to try running my apps on it, but it's locked down.

Seems to be because of the authorization... You know - when you connect a phone using the adb for the first time, you have to confirm the connection for the first time... No luck confirming the adb on the gamestick...

I recently created a small custom ROM (more like a conversion) if you don't care about the Gamestick store (like me) and you want a open android stick that still works with the game pad, let me know and I can upload the ROM somewhere after I finish some details just make sure you understand that you won't be able to access the GameStick store at all, in fact your stick will no longer be a Gamestick, and well you might brick it, and all those disclaimers, blah blah blah
you can always go back to the original ROM

Google authenticator on S2

hi everybody
i am coming from a sony smartwatch 3 under Android Wear. Beside notification, the app i was using the most was Google authenticator.
do you know if i can find a compatible app somewhere ?

ouf

(spoke to the developers of Authenticator Plus - they said no plans for Gear s2 on their side)
I guess no one has any plans for S2
I written TOTP client for Gear S/S2.
This is compatible with One time password generator of Google/Microsoft/Facebook/Dropbox/Evernote.... etc.
I'm waiting certification by GalaxyApps.
The source has been published in open source .
https://github.com/tesurijp/TOTP-Tizen
Any easy way to install it from the source code?
You can also use wearable widgets with authy. Make sure you install the phone part from the play store and you can add authy's widget as an app on the gear. It does require the phone to be nearby though
This app has been released.
Search "one time password" in GalaxyApps.
Sorry , this app is a troublesome setting method.

I'm trying to push the file to the S2. I have the Tizen IDE installed. I can connect to the watch ok. I'm trying to move the file to /opt/usr/media/Documents/ and I get a permission denied error. I can move the file to /opt/usr/media/Downloads/
I've tried this through sdb and through the connection manager in the IDE. I get the same result.
The Documents directory has read/write for user, but not group and other. I don't have permission to chmod on Documents.
I am very new to this so I may be missing something very obvious. I've spent several hours on this and am stuck. Any ideas?
Alternatively is there a way to change the app to use downloads for the auth_keyinfo.txt file?
Thanks.

I was able to do it by putting the auth_keyinfo.txt file on my phone, renaming it to "auth_keyinfo.mp3", and then transferring it via the Samsung Gear app (Samsung Gear > Settings > Send content to Gear > Select tracks). The Gear's music player sees it as an MP3 file which is mildly annoying, but I can live with that. Have you tried that method?
Also, can confirm the app works on my Galaxy Gear S3 Frontier
---------- Post added at 05:14 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:09 PM ----------
@tesuri do you have any plans for further development on this? I just got my Gear S3 (parents got it as a freebie when renewing their contract, didn't want to fiddle with it so they sent it to me), and this app turns it from "a neat toy" to a very practical tool. My work requires many, many authenticator codes, and when I forgot my phone once I had to promptly turn around and go back home -- two hours of my life wasted on the train for nothing If I'd had the watch and this app then, I could've simply turned to my wrist for the necessary codes.
I'd love to see the ability to embed "background images" for each authenticator. In the file, they could be base64-encoded... but I don't know how difficult it'd be for you to parse the embedded images out (figuring out file type, etc).
Yes, it is working great for me now.
It doesn't work on S2. I only get black screen. What can I do? Thanks.
same here S3 frontier
black screen
auth_keyinfo.mp3 copied inside music with gear app
i was able to make it work under my gear s3, with debug there was an error showing up, unable to find reference TITLE,
i modified source file index.html where there is <script src="language.js"></script> in <script src="language/en/language.js"></script>
rebuild and installed on my gear s3 with tizen studio, now it works for me

It's available since 2015 for almost all Gear models. The new version is integrated with an Android companion well for QR bar scanning/backup/restore purposes. Google Drive support makes sync up easy.
Check "Google Auth Client for Samsung Gear and Android" blog at credelius dot com. This site doesn't allow posting links.
