Huawei honor 8 world of tanks frames drop - Honor 8 Questions & Answers

If anyone has any ideas how to solve fps falling when playing world of tanks in minimum graphics settings pls help. I've tried changing battery settings and much more but it keeps falling after playing couple of battles like is overheating or something. In some point display brightness falls and then fps falls from 60 even to 30. Gameplay performance just becomes bad and I don't know why.

Mortal Kombat X causing a lot of heat!

Does anyone play Mortal Kombat X on their OPO?
If so, does your device get very hot playing the game?
For me, back on Kitkat, the phone got pretty warm after about 10-15 mins of playing, it wasn't too bad. Now I'm on lollipop, after 10 mins of play, the phone was very hot, especially around the camera. (think that is where the CPU/GPU chipset is located) It was so hot I closed the game and turned off the phone for a few mins to cool down. I was scared I was going to fry my phone!
Anyone else having similar experiences with this game? Other games don't really heat the phone up, but MK does have very decent graphics!

More intense apps/games will obviously increase heat output. Though nowadays mobile chipsets much like desktop or laptop chipsets have thermal trips and controls that will throttle the component that is overheating. So I wouldn't actually worry too much about the possibility of frying your phone. (Unless you disabled the thermal trip on a kernel level)
Yeah, a game like MKX does a lot of CPU and GPU work and when you add the display, the device gets warm. It's nothing to worry over.
Buy game console mate..
Confirmed with the same game and any other resource-expensive game. After 10/15 minutes the logcat gets spammed with temperature warnings (over 80 °C) and reboots to prevent damage.
I play the **** out of it, and yes after 20mins or so, it's pretty hot.

to reduce heating u must sacrifice ur little performance
flash a custom kernel
open kernel app n underclock ur cpu to 1.5ghz (dont go beyond it <1497mhz>) and keep ur gpu frequency to max @330 mhz (i would suggest keep it to 200mhz).
optionals
1. also do reduce cpu voltage atleast -30mV.
2. change the governer to silm or zzmove or any thing u like but not performance.
device get warm but doesnt goes to extreme heating .... little lags and glitches can be seen but its acceptable.
love playing in oneplus one )
happy gamming ...
Well I'm glad I'm not alone in experiencing this. I guess ill just have to play in short bursts. I also play Marvel Contest of Champions and that is another 3D fighter but my phone can play that for half an hour without much heat up, MKX has much better graphics so it gets my phone toasty very quickly.
My device is very hot too and killing battery. When i play mk x i disable 2 cores from snayps.. It doesn't effect performance.

Just install ak put cpu speed to 1.3ghz max undervolt to 140 max for pvs 7(it may reboot at first but it will get stable for gaming with no heat) use build.prop and init.d tweak to keep it your One fast.
I play MKX and godfire with this settings with no lag at all.

I moved to the CM12.1 by SultanXDA and on his rom, the phone is underclocked to 2ghz and I've noticed the phone doesn't get as hot while playing games now which is great. Another added bonus of using that ROM, its very good!
I hear ya bro
Yes the device does get warm to hot depending upon your environment.
I have noticed that while playing the game in public(non-ac), it does get pretty heated.. whereas when you do play in an ac room or a room with adequate cool air circulation using fans, it doesnt heat up so much.
Also, the internet(cellular/wifi) being on plays a huge impact on if the device heats up or not.
Moreover, I noticed that it heats up more for graphically demanding games like MKX,NOVA3 and Modern Combat 5 and not so much while playing less demanding games like Golf Star,Asphalt, etc even though all these games are typical heavy games.
Like suggested by many above, try underclocking(powersaver mode) and undervolting. It works for me to some extent.
Had the same issue of lot of heat and huge battery drain, but kept playing for hours and then I gave up on it, because I love OPO's battery life and I don't want to ruin it
Yes... very hot

Moto G4 Plus - Heating issues ? (A Review)

Last weekend I upgraded from my old smartphone to the new Moto G4 Plus, and after reading much about the heating and camera issues, I thought of putting it under a test.
I used CPU-Z for testing temperature and some common sense. Last night I installed the three high end games on my phone ie. Asphalt 8, Mortal Combat X and Nova 3
1. Asphalt 8
Play Time: 1 Hour 10 Minutes
Gameplay: No Lags, No Frame Drops, Ran Smooth
Temperature (Front): Varied between 39 - 41 Degrees
Temperature (Back): Varied between 42 - 45 Degrees
Hotness/Warmness Index (Out of 10) - 3/10
2. NOVA 3
Play Time: 20 Minutes
Gameplay: No Lags, No Frame Drops, Ran Smooth
Temperature (Front): Varied between 39 - 41 Degrees
Temperature (Back): Varied between 42 - 44 Degrees
Hotness/Warmness Index (Out of 10) - 3/10
2. MORTAL COMBAT X
Play Time: 15 Minutes
Gameplay: No Lags, No Frame Drops, Ran Smooth, Took 2 Minutes for Initial Loading
Temperature (Front): Varied between 40 - 42 Degrees
Temperature (Back): Varied between 42 - 45 Degrees
Hotness/Warmness Index (Out of 10) - 4/10
With all these games I have noticed one thing, the temperature varied between a certain range ie. 42 - 45 degrees, after which it stayed constant, as if it reached a certain threshold, but it was not hot as the users on various forums are claiming, it was mildly warm near the power and volume buttons. The game-play was awesome without any glitches.
The main culprit is actually the Camera, or rather the Camera app. As soon as I fired the camera, the temperature started rising, and it went as high as 48 degrees while shooting a 1080p video for 2 mins, after which I have to close it down. And it really felt hot to hold. On my Hotness/Warmness Index, it would be 8/10. There was a steep rise in temperature and it didn't stopped, it continued to rise. The pro mode makes the matter worse.
On the other hand I installed third party camera apps ie. VSCO camera and Camera 360, they worked fantastic with zero heating and lagging issue.
The TurboCharger is also making the phone reach temperatures around 50 Degrees.
In case you wanna know, my phone has a manufacturing date of 05/2016 and the outside temperature according to the weather app was 27 Degrees. The phone gave a SOT of 4 Hours 40 Minutes of a single charge.
Exactly same in my case, plating same games and there are no lags no frame drops ,running smooth. I'm happy with this.
For Camera (Update the Camera , Camera tuner app If you din't already)..I'd like to give 1 solution which is not good but Moto told to do until it brings an update for Camera-heating issue---> Turn Off Stabilization, put mobile on AirPlane Mode, use 720p (I know this is not all good but it somehow useful) and Moto said they are working hard to get this issue solved..
For turbo charge ..we can't do anything because Qualcomm set the chip like to get turbo charge(it's normal in this case)

Motorola has released an OTA update fixing this issue. This gives a good forecast to when Motorola will update its devices, and the amount of updates each phone gets.

Pubg Mobile gaming performance

Is anyone having choppy gameplay on the OnePlus 6 while playing Pubg?
I have kept the settings on default, HD and high frame rate
What graphic setting are you guys using ?
I use an iPhone X for my job and Pubg is smoother on it even at higher setting
If any one has any suggestions to improve performance I would really appreciate it
Performance is best on OP6 but there's some heating.

I did , I think it all does is disable network connections for other apps while playing
Going smooth here.. Mid graphics +max frame rate..
On hdr+max fps - it's just as good but, I wanted to conserve some battery..
Some website did a review, it's hitting 30fps 99% of the time
Waiting for update with 60fps support .. Don't know about iPhone
Edit - review is from xda ?
Pubg runs perfect on HDR+Ultra fps, although I prefer playing at smooth graphics+extreme fps (60fps). Buttery smooth gameplay, although for every 30 minute game played, the phone loses 15% battery
Just tried the game after reading this thread. Goodness this game runs smooth on highest settings possible. played a few matches this morning. Not one hiccup.
Previous experience with note 8, Nexus 6p, essential phone and mate 9. Better than all. We
Yeah just tried it for the first time too. Runs great, came in top 3 with around 10 kills first try, think I might retire and leave my PUBG career on a high
I haven't had any issues and I put mine on Max at full screen mode. Plays really well.

Ping on op6
Hi,
I have played ping on op6 over 10-15 30 min sections.. under different conditions like HD, ultra fps to smooth with ultra fps.. no performance issues... Heating is nominal just like any other phone.. not significantly alarming or something....
Only once I got choppy frame rate and that too for a couple of seconds.
Everything else is fine..
Btw I use 8gb ram model.

I'm playing have games but my op6 /8gb heating too much....... already hard rest & flashed full Rom ...
Any suggestions ?
i have no problems with ehating my i dont play high demanding games like minnecraft or fortnite or pubg so if you play 1 of these games then its normal that it makes the phone hot.... i played VR on my galaxy phone and it also got very very hot.
Maybe you should send your OP6 in for warranty.
I'm playing demanding games and the temperature never exceeds 50 degrees celsius.

Warm using Arrow latest with Optimus drunk kernel 11.36

Hello everyone!
Today I played a game Fps shooter automatically it was on high settings but I decided to go ultra and the game was 60fps.
Unfortunately while gaming I notice that was getting warm not very Heated but kind of warm.
Does anyone experience this? Is it normal or maybe I can try something to lower the temperature before gaming?
Thanks for your feedback!
