Shameless self promotion.
Also most users here won't touch a cable that Benson Leung has not tested. Could fry our computer if they're not up to spec.

Disappointed in the promotion however Choetech cables have been tested by Benson and he highly promotes them as being compliant with USBC Spec

Well the USB 3.1 C to C cable here is rated as -2, pretty terrible: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1vnpEXfo2HCGADdd9G2x9dMDWqENiY2kgBJUu29f_TX8/edit#gid=0

Thought I would share. Benson Leung approved of these, and it seems to be a pretty sweet deal.
Thanks!
Disclaimer: I was sent these items in exchange for my fair and unbiased review
It’s been a while since I’ve posted a review here because I’ve been rather busy, so without further ado here’s a short simple review of some new(er) products I was sent.
Choetech USB A-C “flat” TPE cable 2-Pack (Black/white)
I was looking for a cable to replace the fabled OnePlus A-C cables that were out of spec thus were returned last year; Choetech sent me these, and to say the least I was excited.
First, let’s talk about the design at hand. Each cable features a nice aluminum end on both sides with Choetech branding giving it quality (premium is overused) feel alongside the flat region housing the wire. The metal ends will show wear faster than plastic because metal scratches, and I’m fine with that. I appreciate the longer length (1.2[m] i.e. 4[ft]) giving you more flexibility for their intended usage. I’ve used the black cable quite a bit since first receiving it, so I will post a few pictures showing how it wears overtime down below. The flat region of the cable has a nice feel to it coupled with the solid connections where the metal meets the TPE. I don’t feel like these will pull apart, or break anytime soon, so I’m happy with their build. Each cable also has the proper 56k [ohm-m] resistor for the Nexus 6P as it should at this point in the game.
Overall
Now, if I had to be picky there is one small issue I experience (rather it’s how the cable is made). Each cable doesn’t have a perfectly flat, uniform, or even area where the TPE (flat area) meets the metal; I’m a little OCD about these things. With that being said there is no issue with the cable’s functionality since that is merely a cosmetic nitpick that I personally have. In the end I would happily buy these cables as a gift, or another lot for myself given how much I’ve been using them.
Choetech 33W USB-C & QC 3.0 Type-A Enabled Car Charger
I own many car chargers, but as of lately I don’t use them because my new car has Android Auto. I recently decided to keep this particular one in my car because sometimes my wife wants to charge her phone, or I just need to have a secondary charging solution for my other phones (Note 7 and S7 Edge). Choetech did something I appreciate here: there is a proper dedicated USB-C port for the Nexus 6P/5X that will output only 5V/3A as it should. The other port is a dedicated QC 3.0 output for all of your other phones like in my case the two Samsung phones.
Build
On the build side you will find a typical glossy plastic body with a matte black back featuring Choetech’s logo, and the ports. There is a blue light that let’s you know when you’re charging, or when the charger is plugged into your car correctly. The included cable is also quite nice, and will give your Nexus 6P 1.5A from the QC 3.0 legacy port, but if you want to rapidly charge the phone, then you will need a USB C-C cable.
Ports:
USB-C: 5V 3A
QC 3.0: 3.6-5.5V 2.4A (max)
5.6-9V 2A (max)
9.1-12V 1.5A (max)
In the box:
Choetech 33W Dual port car charger (USB-C and QC 3.0)
USB A-C cable
Overall:
I keep this charger in my center console as a backup, I just wish it also came with a USB C-C cable for when I want to rapidly charge my Nexus 6P. I own a ton of C-C cables, but not everyone does, so for that reason I hope Choetech includes both cables in the future even if it means adding a few $$ to the price because everyone will benefit from that.

Since the proper resistor is being used I see no reason why they wouldn't be.
Just going to add my thoughts on the car charger.
Having tested the USBA port with a QC3 device, but the USB C seems to charge my 5X fairly quickly (my battery level actually goes up when I take a drive). The LED is a soft glow, unlike in other electronics that blind you.
Having had the Tronsmart USB C charger as well, the Choetech one is slightly smaller and has an LED. Both work well, so I'd suggest getting the one that's cheaper at the time of buying.
I suppose I can add my thoughts on these cables as well.
I bought the blue and orange cables, and they look kind of pastel-ie coloured.
The plug ends are metal and look pretty sleek, but are pretty darn slippery (sometimes I just resort to pulling on the cable, which is bad).
Testing on my 5x and external USB C battery with Charger Doctor does in fact show that it charges within spec.
I'm not sure the premium material and look are worth the premium pricing for these cables for me, but to each their own.
Bottom line is that they work properly, look good, but are darn slippery to remove.
Review by Pliz, always the best!
Any suggestions on reasonably priced USB-C to USB-A 3.0 charging/ data cables..... I am seeing cables anywhere from $5.99 each to $19.99 each and then there are these 56 ohm resister cables..... I am use to getting quality micro usb cables for the note 3 and tablets for $5.99-$6.99 with out any problems, so I am not looking for $19 unless there is really a difference. (And I want like 5 or 10 of them so the cost adds up), one for work, home, the car, etc,etc,etc.... Not spending $100 on charging cables.

Thanks everyone. I have used monoprice cables before, I am going to try the other ones this time.
I wanted longer ones, so I got these:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01706YAXY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
They're 5 foot long, $8 each. Needed to go from my desktop computer which is on the floor up to my desk.
Little more than you wanted to spend though.
Those are USB 3.0 you need USB 3.1
Buy the choetech 6 pack or the aukey cables

I bought 2 of these last week, seem very nice quality.
Below is the cables i am reviewing
https://www.amazon.com/1-6ft1-3-3ft...qid=1483562829&sr=8-9&keywords=choetech+usb+c
I received these as a hopes to replace the shorter cable that came with the 6p. Choetech sent them to me to review at a discounted rate. I've been using them for over a month now.
Pros - the 6.6 ft cable is amazing for home when im plugging in the device. Having the extra cable to charge and surf the phone while in bed is amazing.
The construction of the cable is quality and i have had 0 issues with them so far. I was even able to give the wife one of the cables for her mac.
Supports quickcharge with no issues.
I no longer use the stock charging cable as i like these better.
Packaging is a minimalist packaging. i like that.
Cons - I wish it came with two 6.6 foot cables in the 6 pack.
If your in the market for a cable or even multiple cables. Definitely check these out.
Choetech sent me a coupon code for you guys.
LUI7QEDK - coupon code to save 12 dollars
Bought the same 4 weeks ago. Works A1. Price is unbeatable.

Anyone have any tips or tricks to add wireless charging?
Any mods etc?
For example Qi Adapters. I found some on Amazon

Not sure how effective/safe these are.
Let me know what you guys think.
Wireless charging is a hardware thing, how would you propose to "add" wireless charging to a device neither bult for it, nor has it engineered into the design?
Good luck.

I though about something like that as well, however I don't like it that these retrofits block your USB-C Port. Just because I want to enable my phone to be charged wirelessly, I don't necessarily want to rely on it. Also, I still would like to connect it to other devices and such. So far, I did not find a solution to this problem.

To tell you the truth my main phone is the Note 9, if I had wireless charging I will never use cable. and I use Bluetooth earbuds. so I have no use for the USB C port. But yeah the no wireless charging on the pixel 4a 5G got me down.
Sounds like you have some experimenting to do! Those adapters would be the only option.

Yea, looks like it. I will order one today and let you guys know how it goes.
i haven't used the adapters on the 4a 5g, but i had one for my OG Pixel and it was really a pain. you had to position it very precisely and any little bump or nudge would make it stop charging. it was honestly more of a hassle than just plugging it in. i used it for a couple of months, got sick of it, and went back to a magnetic quick connect cable.
I just use the USB C to C magnetic cables. Bought 3 sets, so there's a cable at work/car/home. Closest thing to "wireless" charging for non Qi phones. Buy them on Amazon
