I bought an honor 8 used that didn't come with OEM charger. I wanted fast charging so I bought an honor 8 gift box off of Amazon that comes with a Huawei fast charger, selfie stick, etc....It's 9v2a. Well, this thing charges soooo slow. Ampere shows like 80-90mA. Doesn't matter what cable. Not I can use like a normal Apple charger or android 5v1a or 5v2a charger and it's faster.
Is this just a faulty charging block?
If so I'll send it back for refund.
Thanks

How much does it take to fully charge your phone (From around 15% to 100%)? Mine takes about an hour or an hour and a half.

I ordered the same gift box, it arrives tomorrow. I'll give an update when I find out how it performs.
FYI: I have an OEM charger, I'll do an Ampere comparison.

hey everyone, having a frustrating issue here!
I just got the Mate 7 yesterday (MT7-TL09) and I had it charge overnight...this morning I woke up and the phone read 80%, which is really weird, because it had been charging from around 25% last night for 6 hours. This was my first time charging it.
I tried to look up more information about 'breaking in' to batteries and letting it drain and recharge, but as I'm using it now the battery seems fine (great battery life, only dropped 12% in the past 5 hours of very light usage).
Also, I have been using an iPhone charger to charge it, does the 4100mAh battery require a higher power charger? I will try to charge it with the iPad charger tonight and see if it makes a difference. It's really weird because I have never had that happen to any device that I had (had the xperia Z Ultra previously and it charged fine, albeit a little slower on the iPhone charger).
I can provide any other information about this phone if needed, i'm a noob! I want to know if there is something wrong so I can address the seller and exchange for a new one in time!
Don't use any other non huawei chargers !
DISCHARGE phone to the FLAT and charge it OFF leave it BE at least 2-3 hours !
It comes with a three prong charger and I am in North America
I will give it a try first...
The provided charger is 5 volts 2 Amp. You can use any charger delivering this charge. The original charger can be used with adapter.

Anyone got wireless charger from Aliexpress? I was looking for it, but I don't know if I should even expect it to work properly.
I was thinking of something like this

or

Do you think it is even worth 10 or 20 bucks?

I don't suggest you to order one from aliexpress, I contacted one of sellers and he said they found out fast charging isn't working..
Or you can just get a reputable one from Amazon... that way you don't have to worry about whether or not the aliexpress company made a super cheap non-safe one.
I just received this aliexpress (dot) com/item/100-Original-edition-Qi-Wireless-Charger-Charging-Pad-for-Samsung-Galaxy-S6-S6-Edge-Esge-Note/32475381375.html from china and works good with my S6 Edge+... For 8$ is amazing!
now I bought also wireless fast charger, when I'll get it I'll let you know.
It charged my phone from 1% to 100% in 2 hours and 40 minutes... never lost the charge or other problems. Galaxy Charging Current showed me a range from 400 to max 800mAh of current that my phone was getting, using a charger of 1000mAh. Wireless charger's temperature while charging (50% charging) is normal, slightly heated, but I think it's normal...

My original Samsung Fast Charge Wireless charger charges the phone 1-100% in less than 2 hrs. Plus i think i wouldnt be taking a risk with cheap make induction chargers screwing up my wireless charging capability or the nfc chip itself. I've had this issue with my note 4 with a qi insert in the past where the wireless charging completely stopped, since then i stopped using any thing non brand when it comes to wireless charging.
Mine is not fast charger...but I want to know how can I check the quality of my wireless charger...someone can give me some info?

My Samsung Fast Wireless Charger charges my phone from 0-100% in about 2 hours. Based on your slower charging times, I'd assume the charger you bought is not an authentic Samsung product.

I have imported my Huawei and I absolutely love the phone. Since it is an import it came with a UK Type fast charger. I simply used a wall adapter and powered it over the US current. Well, that fast charger isn't working what so ever - after 2 hours I only go to about 35 percent from 0. I have used my Note 7 charger to charge it, and there the charging times are much faster. Any ideas on what, if anything, I am doing wrong and maybe where I can buy a working Huawei charger. I can't return the charger since I bought the phone over Amazon and it strictly came with no warranty. It is not the end of the world if I can't use the included charger I just want to see how fast this phone truly charges.
Either this post is a joke or someone sold you a non supercharge Huawei charger. Also are you using both the charger and charging cable that came with the phone in the box. It's white with purple in the USB A area
Here from 10 to 80% in 45 minutes
Same here. I find the first 80% to be lightning quick and then it slows to a "normal" charging speed for the last 20%.
Must be something wrong with your charger or cable.
Sent from my MHA-L29 using Tapatalk
Using the european adapter, not the UK one, but charging is lightning fast for me as well.
hi
the orginal adapter and cable
i charge from 0% to 90% in about 55 minutes, the last 10 % are slower maybe 30 minutes to full
greetz benji
Mine took almost 2 hours from 48% to 100%. I'm using Original Huawei charger.......
Install ampere and see what the milliamp charge rate shows as. When the battery is almost dead it should charge at just under 5 amps and will slowly decrease as the battery level increases.
Mine typically goes from 0 to 65% in half an hour, then 90% around half an hour on top of this. The final 10% takes almost another hour.

Well there is obviously something wrong with your charger, cable or phone. I would guess the first two.
Mine turbocharges in a few minutes. I've been using fir about a year now.
Could be that an "European" charger intended for 220 volts does not provide rapid charge when plugged into a 110 volts wall plug. I have for example an electric toothbrush I bought here in Europe and it refuses to charge on a 110 volt system when using an adapter. Maybe see if you can buy an OEM charger intended for the US?
There are 2 different chargers that are official, there's the supercharge one that comes bundled with the phone which I guess everyone is using and is getting great charging speeds... (Gotta use both the charger and the cable)
And then there's the fast charger which is pretty slow compared to the bundled charger.
The next time you wanna travel abroad make sure you buy a supercharger for that regions type of socket.

If you buy a replacement make sure it actually says SuperCharge on it.

So I have only a titacute 30w or 5v at 6a charger. I never received the original. I then purchased the orange titacute cable. In the end it can only get 4400 mah only totally dead 1% charge with ampere and other software..
What could be causing this the charger the cable or what I really wanted to get 30w charging. Thanks everyone.
Cheap *** Warp Charger clone, don't expect to much. Warp Charge is an active circuitry-controlled charger and isn't that simple to clone.
And if it's try you charger is a clone of a clone I wouldn't expect anything to charge active, what you get is normal 5v charging.

Right but OEM one plus charger only does 5v 6a for 30w. And titacute says it does that. But it's more like 5v 4.2. Can someone with the OEM and titacute 6a cable show an ampere or other app screenshot of 5800 mAh at 5v. So I know that it's the charger and just seek OEM or whatever works.. thanks
I use chargers & cables purchased from China, not from OnePlus and they work great. Since OnePlus 3. All my OnePlus phones i purchased from other people with no accesories.
Fast charge best time, 45 minutes from 0% to 100% with the phone off. (with OP 3 and op5) . Now i can't try on OP 7 pro because of Magisk.

Why not because of Magisk... I have Magisk is that why it won'y work ... I get WARP charge banner but it's a 4A charge and I have the 6A titacute charger and short orange cable (quite thick indeed) ... what gives ? Any advice for me ?
Let me clear this up.
Magisk it's the issue if you charge with the phone OFF.
It charges the phone but the screen do not show you how much (%) and when it's full, 100%.

Sorry friend but it didn't exactly clear this up. How can be sure it is charging at 6A when it's off. Also how come it says warp charge but ampure .APK shows 4100 mah which is like 4 amp.. I have seen people with 5800 mAh screenshots.. is this cause of magisk? Can we figure out why?
No. I don't think so.
Magisk it's one of the problems if you charge with the phone OFF. NOT the case for you.
Also if you got Fast charge it's ok.

Right I am aware that it is ok. But I want to know if I can buy the original charger and have it charge at max speed.. it's one of the reasons I wanted this phone. Because I hata waiting for a charge and this phone is supposed to warp charge really really fast..
This is good for many reasons but main reason why is :
I am on the road and the quicker I can charge at a stop the quicker I can get back to making money..
And also
It is better to be NOT be using the phone while a cable is attached for many reasons. Therefore the faster it charges the less time it's plugged in. The less time it is plugged in the better. For the jack , cable and experience in general
Yes, buy warp charger if you like the price 30 euro + transport (about 13-14 euro) . On OnePlus.net
Or you can buy from chinese stores, other than OnePlus, Much Cheaper. I both warp charger+warp cable with 10,30 $ US.
You can buy warp charger for car.
As the title says. The phone shows mi turbo charging and not the yellow/gold 120 while charging.
Any ideas?
Using a 120v outlet?
Edit: yep you live in the US. 120v outlets with this charger can only provide 96w and won't even get that high actually. They use 96va but the actual power being used is only ~55w if you use a kill-a-watt. Your phone never charged at 120w unfortunately. If it said it was, the software was lying.

Actually I am using 220v and it was charging at 120w speed 2 days ago. The difference is staggering between the 120w and the mi turbo charging.
I just did a factory reset and it didn't help. I'm starting to think the cable or the charger malfunctioned but they are a week old both.
Sounds like the brick - change the cable and see if it works. I don't think there are any 3rd (or official) 120W chargers. Maybe time for RMA, they may even send you one without a return

How do you enable or disable turbo max? I have the same problem, since last updates the 5-100 charge takes more than an hour. That's a shame for the "super fast" charge. I'm really regretting of getting a Xiaomi phone. I have been an always iphone user and this is my first experience with an Android and for now it's very dissapointing.

I have a 240v circuit in my garage breaker but I never found the outlet for it. Our dryer also has a 240v outlet but it's not a standard plug. I was curious to experiment with proper 120w charging so I bought a step up transformer on Amazon, 300w 120v to 240v or vice versa.
For what it's worth I've had to plug and unplug the cable from the charger occasionally or it won't charge properly. I'm guessing dust gets in just the wrong place or something, or some other weird little quirk. The other day it was doing really slow charging on my 55w wireless charger, I had to unplug the cable from the brick and charger, and unplug the brick from the wall, but it all worked fine again after that.
Same for me. Living in Denmark. We have 220V. Using the original 120w charger and cable. When charging the message is "quick charge" . Not max 120 Wat. Charging is slow. When I get to the batery status. It shows for example 30 min left to charge from 70% to 100%.
The 120w charging was the whole reason I got this phone. What is going on?
That's a bad reason to buy a phone

Super fast charging is (was) a really nice feature of this phone.
I will try to ask Giztop (the webshop where I bought it) to help me. Maybe RMA of the charging brick.

I am using a transformer in the US that gets about 240v and I have no issues with 120w. That said it's only slightly faster than on 120v (which is supposedly 96w) anyway, not much of a difference.

My friend, I have a feeling there is no issue with software. You won't solve this issue flashing another rom. I think it is better to return this unit to the seller invoking warranty conditions.
The unit is not performing as it is expected.
If you unlock bootloader, then you will probably void your warranty.
Do not waste your time, get in touch with seller.
Best regards,
Andrei
