Hi everyone,
I tried flashing Android 7 on my Xperia Z3 and now, when I get past the SIM Pin, it says: "Encryption Unsuccessful". I tried to do a factory reset in my recovery (cyanogenmod) and get the error "failed to mount /data". Also, my device doesn't get recognized in the flashtool.
Help would be appreciated.
If you can access fastboot flash the Twrp recovery and then flash a stock rom not a custom Aosp based rom . I hope this helps

Dear experts,
I was on moto G 1033, unlocked, Philz touch recovery, Nexus 5 experience ROM. From that I tried to encrypt the phone, I left it connected to charger for 5 hours but still it just showed the blank screen.
I can boot to fastboot on the phone, and Philz recovery too. The only way to remove encryption is supposed to be factory reset, but factory reset is giving an error about unable to mount /sdcard. I guess this is because /sdcard is now an encrypted partition so cannot mount it normally.
Most other options that I can think of are resulting into this problem of inability to mount /sdcard. Please help, I am stuck here.
thanks a million
Ok guys, I was able to restore to stock ROM using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2542219

Hi I am trying to fix a friend's tablet and it's stuck at the bootloader. I have tried to wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache partition and already flashed a stock firmware via Odin (v3.07) without success and when I enter in recovery mode the following error appears:
"failed to compare 'system/csc/common/system/wallpaper/default_wallpaper/default_wallpaper.png' 'system/wallpaper/default_wallpaper/default_wallpaper.png' (No data available)"
It looks like the wallpaper default file was deleted. Maybe you can attach it to a PC and create a null default_wallpaper.png
Hi everyone,
I have a XT1032 with a loop boot (It hangs everytime on the Motorola logo).
First of all I was unable to enter into the recovery mode. And I've unlocked the mobile with the motorola code and flashed with the stock recovery. After that I was able to enter into recovery mode.
I've tried to install a ROM via adb sideload but at the 60% always failed and says me that the package couldn't be validated.
I've tried to wipe the data/cache, also I tried to format the partitions (with cache It has gone OK but formatting the userdata partition tolds me that was unsuccessful due blkdiscard errors)
After that I've tried to flash a new recovery (TRWP and CWM) but unfortunately always said the mismatched partition size error, and It's impossible to flash any recovery (only worked with the stock).
Any idea to recover my XT1032?
Thank you!
Hi friends, my samsung Galaxy Note 2 (GT-N7100), got soft bricked after an official software update. I tried to recover it by doing few processes that i found here on this forum, but none worked for me. Here is the list of procedures i did and their out come. please read them and lem me know what can i do further.
1. Tried to factory reset and clear cache partition and reboot: when i entered the android official recovery (Android system recovery<3e>, KOT49H.N7100XXUFNL1) it shows
E: failed to mount/cache (no such file or directory)
E: Can't mount/cache /last_recovery
E: failed to mount/data (no such file or directory)
E: Can't mount/data /log/recovery _log.txt
E: Can't mount/cache /last_install
etc.... in red scrolling and finallly shows rebbo system /wipe data/factory reset options , even after doing factory reset and or wiping cache partition it still unable to bootup, struck at samsung logo screen.
2. Tried to install custom recovery TWRP.. failed to install, i tried different versions of TWRP specified for my phone , and also with different versions of odin.. still unable to install
3. Tried to flash official rom downloaded from sammobile, via odin, but this also failed.
4. tried to root by CF-Autoroot through odin. but failed again.
Note: My phone was on official ROM and recovery when it was bricked, and was never touched to root or flash anything into it before. and i never activated developer options in my phone and the USB debugging mode is also never activated.
please suggest me how to trouble shoot this now. I am not a techie, i just learned above procedures from forums like this, so please try to give me detailed step by step procedures. thanks.

Greetings and welcome to assist. It sounds like you need to flash a pit file. The easiest way to recover your device is use kies/smart switch emergency firmware recovery. Unfortunately this will wipe all your data but should fix the phone
Good Luck

Hello there!
I used to run a custom ROM on my Mate 9 with encryption deactivated.
My mistake:
-Factory reset from TWRP instead of from within the rom.
Now, I cant install any ROM, cant flash a new recovery, cant format, cant change file format. Always getting this "cant mount volume error".
When I try to flash a different rom, I get "error 7".
I'm lost, dont know what to do.
Can anybody help me out?
Best regards
