so ive been using the Mate 9 for about 2 weeks now and i simply cant figure out why the power amp control on the huawei lockscreen is not showing up... it worked on every android device so i dont have to unlock the phone if i want to skip a song but on the huawei it simply wont show up...
i changed the standard player to power amp already and i read on mate 7 forums u have to uninstall the default player but i dont have the same folders so im kinda lost...
anyone solved this problem yet?
If you hit pause on the headphones will they show?

There is no problem, everything works. View the settings and try to set the widget on desktop.
P.S. I have the paid version
I think that is just a issue with the custom skin that Huawei is using

I don't mean the power amp lockscreen I mean the default lockscreen audio from power amp like the one which shows on the normal lockscreen.

I did factory reset again and its working.. all izz welll now.. but just wondering what caused the problem earlier..

Cheers
Thanks

You probably had a mute setting that hung itself, rebooting the device likely cleared that. The good thing is that you have it back in pristine condition.

Have you made sure you don't accidentally tap the sound button in the control panel on the status bar at the bottom?

In that case, be careful what you install. Re-Install your stuff from play store in batches and then leave it a couple of days. If it doesn't mute then put the next batch. PITA but may help you to identify which one it is.
next time it happens why dont you go into apps and force close each one and clear data one at a time to see if the sound comes back, you may find out which one it is this way. I'd also mute / unmute inbetween each app closure. - logical process of elimination is the way forward.
No sound in movies, media with galaxy note 10.1
I got sounds from notifications , ringing, but no media sounds.. tried to factory reset my note.. but the problem is still there.. dunno what to do?
Hi guys,
I just recently bought a Huawei Mate 9 and I'm loving this unit so far. I upgraded its OS to Oreo via OTA since this unit is not rooted.
After testing, I noticed that my Poweramp's headset remote control (volume up/down to skip track) doesn't work. I researched a bit and found that there should be a "Smart Headset" option in the setting that I can configure to do the same job. Weird enough, I cannot find it anywhere in the settings.
I'm using EMUI v8.0 with build number MHA-L29 8.0.0.321. Can anyone please assist this poor soul? I just want to enable the music skip track using the volume of my headset. I hope this is possible without rooting the phone.
Thank you very much everyone!
On previous versions the setting is in settings-smart assistance and then under the accessories heading.

Thanks. But on EMUI v8, it is no longer there
Anyone finding this on 5.1.8? Not sure if it's something in my setup.

Battery optimization is probably killing it.
Go into Settings>Battery>Battery Optimization, select Spotify and tick Don't Optimize.

What setup are you running? Stock or a custom rom/kernel? Xposed? Any other battery optimization apps?

Turn off "Advanced Optimization" in Battery/Battery optimizations/three dots and then Advanced Optimization. Even if you have Spotify set to Don't optimize, this setting will still kill it.

I am using spotify didnt face any problems may be try different version of spotify
I'm facing the same problem since 5.1.7 (or even 5.1.6). Nothing seems to help. After some time, the permanent notification gets wiped out, and 5-10 minutes later, my music stops.
I've something similar, when using Spotify no problems. But when I've stopped using the app and after a while resume music, there is no notification icon in the status bar, and also nothing on the lock screen. I do hear the music, see the in- app controls, with the play and pause button. But can’t control it from the lock screen and also car audio doesn’t show title playing.
Need to kill the app from multi task screen and open app again.
This problem is present with Youtube Music as well.
Notification disappears, eventually the app is killed entirely.
Something wrong on OnePlus' end where active music apps aren't being registered as such.

Go to battery-> optimization-> don't optimize apps you don't want.
Still happening? Turn off advanced optimization by pressing the 3 dots on the top right corner
Hmmm.. I even have advanced optimization ON. My Spotify works all day with no problems.

Thanks but I have all of that disabled.
I haven't had any problems with GPM or YouTube Music since the quoted post was written, it only happened once with YouTube Music and I haven't been able to reproduce since.
May well have been some ****ery with Spotify making it seem like YT Music was also affected. I did use them both that day.

I'm experiencing exactly this. Even the car part connected through BT.
And I'm not using an OP6. I'm with an HTC 10 running 8.0 so I guess the issues are on the app's side.
Hello i got my honor note 10 i love it but there are some things I don't like about it, one very annoying thing that i just cant figure out is how to get notifications on my lockscreen permanently, they only appear on my lockreen if i get them while my screen is locked. I want this because when im listening to music i have to unlock my phone everytime to change the song.

With all music players? Only changes the volume.
Hi,
It seems what you want to do cannot be achieved within EMUI directly. Which is weird because other devices allow to do so and given how it's marketed by Honor, it should allow such basic commands.
So only thing I can think of is to try to get an app that will allow you to remap your buttons from the Play Store. And hope one of them will allow you to do what you are looking for...
PLEASE NOTE : some of those apps will not work when display is "off". So you may want to turn on "Always on" feature (in the screen locking settings at the bottom...).
Hope this can be of any help...
Regards.

Told ya. It doesn't work. Horrible botching of the lockscreen by Huawei.
I have to use my smart watch to do track control, this is my first Android phone where I have to unlock the phone to skip tracks hehe.

Because that screen only appears if you use Poweramp to play local media. I use Spotify, so no such luck.
Google Play Music for some reason works, it's integrated with Huawei's lock screen. Not sure why.

Yeah. Most of them have properly working lockscreens that shows notifications from apps.
Huawei's implementation? Sometimes it shows, sometimes it doesn't. Mostly it doesn't. Even after enabling all the options.
They also mangled the double click power button for camera shortcut. Try to activate the camera shortcut when listening to music or watching a video. The worse part is that they don't even use the double power button shortcut for anything.
Updated to Pie. The split screen option is not in the menu no matter what app I try it with. I've checked every place I could think of in Good Lock, Nova Launcher & Samsung settings & can't find anything that would be preventing it. I even tried under Samsung Launcher & had the same result. If anyone has any ideas, please share.

If you have a specific app that you need to use in Multu-window with YouTube, you can also use the apps edge panel to open the pair simultaneously.

Thanks, but as you can see from the picture I posted, I know how to do it. The problem is the split screen option is not available.

I tried a few things but couldn't replicate what you are experiencing. Are you running Good Lock? I know it has a feature that modifies multi window, but I don't know if it would cause the issue you have.
Did you take the ota directly from the carrier? Or did you flash the new pie update? Mine came from the carrier last Thursday. Today, I backed up everything and did a factory reset and it feels like it's running smoother. Maybe that could fix your issue.
Turns out it was a bug in Good Lock's Multistar. They pushed an update last night that fixed the problem for me. Thanks to all for trying to help.
