You can try this app to get the new firmwares for your phone model.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teammt.gmanrainy.huaweifirmwarefinder
Since you are on EMUI4.0. Update to 4.1 B3XX or which ever next version is applicable for your phone model. Then you will get the system update to nougat immediately.
For example. I was on L29C432B180. I didn't get the nougat update then and I didn't get any update for 4.1 either. Once I updated it to L29C432B190 THEN I got the system update to B560.
Similarly for you, update to EMUI 4.1 using dload method first. Then switch on the wifi and see if you are able to get the system update to B563 or whichever version is applicable for your model.
So you can use firmware finder to download the EMUI4.1 version from the list you have. Download the full package. It is always better. After download, check the md5, unpack it , then push it to dload folder - > all these options are available in firmware finder app. once you are done with all these steps. Switch off the phone - > press volume + , Volume - and Power button at the same time. It will start updating.
Once that is done you are in EMUI4.1. Now switch on the wifi -you should get the system update to nougat.
Check this thread. https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-8/general/l29-c636b563-ota-firmware-finder-t3563403
Try and see if this works for you. Hope you found this information useful. :good::good::good::good:

Hi
I also bought my Mate 8 last week. I am also in Australia. I have just updated it to 7.0 minutes ago.
Go to settings/update
click on menu
then download latest package.
It downloaded L09C636B211 for me. update to that version.
After rebooting I went to check update again and L09C636B563 was available.

buggy
My phone did an OTA update to nougat build B563 last week and I've had nothing but problems.
Random volume drops, sound may as well be off. Miss calls & notifications. Only a reboot fixes the volume.
Also it seems .M4A files are no longer supported?
The music app will play them but no sound.
The Chinese variants are up to build 573 or higher.
I think an update/fix might be a long way off?

You couldn't solve the problem ? I tried to flash some other lollipop versions but it didn't succeed. I think the only option remaining is to wait for a rollback for TL09. What do you think ?

Yes. I tried to re-download the Marshmallow update twice to make sure I was not flashing a corrupted file, and I tried to flash B326 again, but my phone is still stuck in bootloop.

Here's the solution to your problem if you know your way around rooting, unlocking bootloaders,
installing custom recoveries and custom ROM's:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-7/general/tried-to-roll-b511-to-b326-fail-try-t3302479
If you don't understand the terms above, I am assuming your Mate7 has never been rooted/unlocked
and is running the official Huawei software/firmware/ROM. In this case, I can only suggest that you install
the official marshmallow to lollipop downgrade package for your Mate 7 phone model (TL10, L09, etc.),
after which, you can install the official Lollipop firmware for your Mate 7 phone model.
Unfortunately, the official marshmallow to lollipop downgrade package for Mate 7 TL10, L09 (non-China versions)
still does not exist. We have to wait for Huawei to release that package. Only the Chinese version of the
marshmallow to lollipop downgrade package has been released. (Applicable only if your Mate 7 is China version:
TL00, UL00, CL00)
You therefore have to wait for the downgrade package or send your phone to the service center
If not, then maybe you can try installing the official lollipop to Kitkat downgrade package for
Mate 7 TL10, L09 (non-China versions):
Lollipop to Kitkat Downgrade packages: (install in SD card main directory, under dload folder using
'force upgrade' <volume up + volume down + power button>)
TL10: http://consumer.huawei.com/my/support/downloads/detail/index.htm?id=47724&key4=MATE7
L09: http://consumer.huawei.com/it/support/downloads/detail/index.htm?id=45422&key4=MATE7
IF THE ABOVE IS SUCCESSFUL, then you can install the full official Kitkat software/firmware:
TL10: http://consumer.huawei.com/my/support/downloads/detail/index.htm?id=35105&key4=MATE7
L09: http://consumer.huawei.com/my/support/downloads/detail/index.htm?id=34805&key4=MATE7
IF NOT SUCCESSFUL, then you just have to wait for the release of the official marshmallow to lollipop
downgrade package or send your phone to a service center (assuming the service center personnel
are well versed with Huawei software).

I also have a Mate 7 TL10. My update to marshmallow beta B511 was successful. It's the best firmware I've used for my Mate 7 TL10 even if it is beta software. I having tried the official lollipop firmwares (B329, B326, B324) and official KitKat firmwares (B119SP03, B120SP04, C00B130) but none can quite beat the marshmallow beta.
Maybe your B511 file is corrupted. Try re-downloading it using the download link provided by Carbon Tesla for TL10:
[Go to carbontesla.com/2016/01/download-ascend-mate-7-b511-marshmallow-ota-zip/]
Try reinstalling [force upgrade (volume up + volume down + power button)] the new download.
If not successful, you may need to try the downgrade package I mentioned earlier in this thread.

Hi everyone, just want to share my experience in this problem, it is not with a positive outcome but to save your effort and cut it short, maybe someone can continue from where I stopped and then we reach a solution. Let me tell you first that my phone is Huawei AM7 MTL10 , I was on Lollipop b324 before I tried to upgrade to M B511, I download the file from Carbontelsa site, installed on internal phone Dload directory and updated successfully and the phone restarted , and boom this was the last time I saw my phone working that was 2 weeks ago( now in boot logo loop, non stop till battery drain), since then, I am moving from one Forum to another for people to help me and to tell you the truth everyone is trying, except the Huawei service center or the Huawei global support which are all not up to your knowledge or expertise, they just say we cannot help. Ok sorry for being long but, I wanted to give you the full picture, here are the facts.
First, my phone is locked, bootlader locked and never been rooted.
Second, the phone hardware was perfectly well before the upgrade.
Third, now, in Bootlogo loop as all of your devices.
Fourth, you can only access two options in this disaster problem, either the EMUI ( with the three options either, reboot, factory reset or partition format) the other choice is by connecting it to PC with USB and fastboot mode. So our choices with a locked boot-loader are really limited.
Fifth, you cannot flash any official rom which is a version less than B511 and EMUI 4, phone won't accept! Always accept reflashing the same B511 many times succefully ( and this is a proof that it is not a hardware problem)
Now this is where you start to follow from where I stopped
Forget about unlocking boot loader , you are wasting your time! !
One of two directions to follow,
One: is to download the latest Hisuit version 4.0.0.42and go to fastboot and rescue mode and connect to PC , open Hisuite , press home on the upper left corner and choose recovery down, please download the Chinese version of this Hisuite or else others not working, however everything goes well till the last step then it fails.
Two, we have to wait for the mighty Huawei people to come out with higher version of Marshmallow or a special downgrade software to solve the problem, at least they have to show some respect to their customers who are trying their beta software!
I am a doctor and I wasted a lot of time trying to save my HM7 phone because I did not accept the fact that it cannot be repaired , but now after 2 weeks I just bought the Samsung galaxy note 5 and I'm so happy with it, one last thing, I always say, When you buy something important like a phone or a car, you buy a company not only the device, you buy the time , care and dedication of this company to support you when you are in trouble. Hope this help in a way
Really did not expect many had their Mate 7 phones (TL10, L09) bricked by the B511 marshmallow beta update. I see it here in xda and also in gsmarena Mate 7 opinions. It's sad Huawei is taking so long to release the official international marshmallow to lollipop downgrade package. I guess I'm one of the few who got B511 working for an international Ascend Mate 7 (TL10) phone. I'm actually loving the marshmallow beta (B511) on my phone so much that even when the downgrade package does come up, I'm not going back to official lollipop or official Kitkat. I'll just wait for the final version of Marshmallow (when it's no longer beta).
Here's my story how I updated to Marshmallow B511 without bricking my phone: My TL10 (dual sim) phone originally had KitKat B119SP03. A week after owning the phone, there was an OTA to KitKat B120SP04 and then another OTA to KitKat C00B130. Due to the promise of a better software in Lollipop, and the fact that Huawei was taking so long releasing an OTA for my phone to Lollipop, I tried installing manually (via local update), several Lollipop versions (C900B324, C900B326), downgrading to Kitkat AFTER EVERY Lollipop install using the official 'Lollipop to Kitkat' downgrade package (C900B300).
I did not want to risk a 'dirty' install by flashing one Lollipop version over another Lollipop version. Even though it is possible, it can have unpredictable results since you are not starting with a 'clean slate'. When I heard about marshmallow beta, I was on Lollipop C900B329 because it was also around that time when there was an official OTA from KitKat to Lollipop for my phone. From Lollipop C900B329, I resisted the temptation of installing marshmallow beta B511 directly onto a base firmware of Lollipop C900B329 because I read beforehand B511 marshmallow beta only works with Lollipop C900B326. I also resisted the temptation of a 'dirty install' from one Lollipop version (C900B329) to another Lollipop version (C900B326). I had to downgrade back to KitKat for a clean install, disabled the OTA to C900B329, then manually updated to C900B326, then to B511 marshmallow beta. In between each update (KitKat to Lollipop to Marshmallow), I updated all apps especially google services.
I hope this will help others have a successful marshmallow installation and avoid any more bricked Mate 7 phones because the marshmallow update really is much better than official Lollipop or official Kitkat even if it is still in beta. There are many more additional features and options never before available in Lollipop and Kitkat and it's a smoother and a much more refined software than either of the two.
I'd like to add that my phone is not rooted in any way with no custom recoveries/ROM's installed whatsoever and with the bootloader still locked (factory default). Those with previously rooted phones and/or with custom recoveries and/or unlocked bootloaders may have unpredictable results (including ending up in a bootloop or being bricked).

Thanks for sharing your experience, you have been more careful than me I admitt, my phone also is original factory default never rooted but I guess now , it makes no difference, it is dead in the drawer waiting for Huawei to release a downgrade or the official Marshmallow update.
Till then I am enjoying my new Samsung G note 5.

Guys I have mt7-l09 and its working with marshmallow, yes it drains more battery and some lagging in some areas but this should happen because its a beta and incremental release. For people who got spoil their phone while installing, you should read the requirements very well before downloading this rom. Its clearly mentioned for B326 and for un-rooted phones. so before you install you should install the B326 (you can download using this link: http://m.huawei.com/pkmobile/c... make sure to choose mt7-l09 or mt7-l10 and after installing the B326 install marshmallow beta.
For people who wants to downgrade, yes you can but you have to choose a full release like the B326-B327-B328.
N.B. ONLY Marshmallow BETA rom, Don't unzip the after downloading, its not like the other updates. You should copy the zipped file as is to inside "dload" folder.
Just a tip, some releases are not supporting 4G lte especially when it marked Europe.
For people who keep rebooting, try to connect you phone to pc or take out the memory card and use card reader and access your files and then delete the files from the "dload" folder and then download using your pc any full release rom (b326 or b327 or b328) and extract it and then copy the "UPDATE" file to the dload folder and then turn off the phone and then boot your phone while holding Vol up + Vol down + Power buttons at same time to automatically trigger the update installation and should go smooth.
Hope my comments will help

If you have a bricked phone any suggestion to restore it to working condition is worth trying.
I really don't know if the original author (wissam marrash at Carbon tesla website) tried this himself,
but it seems from his original post here (comments section):
http://www.carbontesla.com/2016/01/download-ascend-mate-7-b511-marshmallow-ota-zip/
it is INTENDED ONLY for those who are on bootloop while upgrading to b511.
Here is an excerpt of the original author's (wissam marrash) quote:
"For people who keep rebooting, try to connect you phone to pc or take out the memory card and use card reader and access your files and then delete the files from the "dload" folder and then download using your pc any full release rom (b326 or b327 or b328) and extract it and then copy the "UPDATE" file to the dload folder and then turn off the phone and then boot your phone while holding Vol up + Vol down + Power buttons at same time to automatically trigger the update installation and should go smooth.

Maybe you can ask the author (wissam marrash) at Carbon tesla website if you have doubts. As for me, my Mate 7 is not one
of those bricked by B511. I had a successful upgrade and have no plans whatsoever to rollback to Lollipop and KitKat which to
me are not quite as good and loaded with features which make me love B511 marshmallow beta.

[TUTORIAL]How to update EVA-L09C636 (Asia-Pacific) model to B361 (EMUI 5)

I had been searching for a way to update my EVA-L09C636 (Asia-Pacific) model to EMUI 5.0. During the previous month I tried to install EVA-L09C636B361 firmware via either dload and Huawei Updater, but such means of direct installation never worked out.
Now the problem is solved, and the solution is quite simple, though a little bit unexpected: using Huawei Updater to install EVA-L19C636B190 before installing EVA-L09's own B361 firmware. I mean, it is interesting that we have to "borrow" the B190 firmware from the Dual SIM L19 model in order to update to EMUI 5.
(I'm not the first person to find the solution. I just found out that in a Taiwanese forum a tutorial is already posted. )
So there are two steps to install B361:
1.
Install EVA-L19C636B190 via Huawei Updater
Use Custom ROM URL
Copy and paste the link to EVA-L19C636B190:
http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1079/g104/v64578/f1/
Use the HiSuite on PC to finish the installation of B190 (Set its proxy to 127.0.0.1 and the port to 41279)
2.
Repeat the previous process, but this time, replace the link with the one to EVA-L09C636B361:
http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1256/g104/v73928/f1/
Again, use the HiSuite to finish the installation of B361
Note that the C636B190 version firmware for L19 model does run on L09 without the support of the L09-exclusive NFC. I think there should be a thread discussing this. Anyways, before official update comes out, the two steps above seem to be the only way to install EMUI 5 on the Asia-Pacific EVA-L09C636 version without losing data.
That is interesting, I dont have a C636 but I would assume just doing step 2 without the need to flash a L19B636 would do the trick.

I was searching for this for months. I bought my p9 EVA-L09C636 in the US (I'm european) and I never had the chance to update, even at 4.1.1. I went crazy because I tried several times to unlock the bootloader first, installing twrp and flashing updates but with no success. It's unbelievable that I need to fake the version with huawei updater to obtain the updates for my phone. Now I've Nougat, without factory reset, with everything working, from nfc to all stock apps and services. Thank you very much

That is interesting, I dont have a C636 but I would assume just doing step 2 without the need to flash a L19B636 would do the trick.

Well, in that case it keeps failing at 1%. I saw some previous posts talking about this as well.
Need Help
My model is Huawei P9 EVA-L09C636
I tried to update like this, it's started updating and got an error while updating then phone rebooted with new update,
but there's lot of errors,
Built Number displays as - NRD90M test-keys
Updater missing in settings
Camera missing
Flash Light not working
Clock missing
File Manger missing
and few more default huawei apps missing.
How do I fix it or downgrade to previous version back?
Thanks finally I was able to update my P9 to Nougat using this steps. The only difference is that there is a EVA-L09C636B190 available now so i didnt have to use the version for any other cell, I was afraid to do it. So following this steps i was able to upgrade from 168 to 190 and finally to 361 version.
My Phone is Huawei P9 EVA-L09C636
Even though my phone is L09 I've flashed L19 by following the steps on this thread -
(https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-8/general/nxt-l09c636b521-official-firmware-guide-t3544729/)
2016.12.29 - EVA-L19C636 - EVA-L19C636B361

it's still NRD90M test-keys. but i'm cool with it.
Works on AL00 as well?
I was wondering if I can get the most current european rom on my AL00 with that method as well?
Holy cow thank you for this tutorial.
I spent six hours following every tutorial I could find on the web and my P9 staunchly refused to install ANY update from the very next one after the one it came with all the way up to the latest!
After hours and hours of trying this method is the one that worked.
Edit: This firmware is a developer build.
There have been several updates installed since it was released.
After you this firmware it you should immediately install Huawei Firmware Finder from the Play Store and install the latest full OTA.
The developer build changes the device ID of your phone so you have to manually add the model of your phone in Firmware Finder as:
EVA-L19C636
Otherwise Firmware Finder would tell you there are no firmwares available for your model.
If you can't install the latest OTA immediately after installing this firmware, first install the next one available (38 if I recall correctly) then install the latest OTA -- 38 will say it failed to install but it actually installs just fine, then install the latest full OTA.
That will give you all the bug fixes and the security patches from Google.
Also note that this firmware works on both the dual sim and single sim models (it's built for the single sim but my device is dual sim and the sim configuration in settings works).

The build number is normal.
As for the disappearing apps, it sounds like you have faulty flash storage.
That will cause files and apps to randomly disappear.

Huawei Mate 8 Update went wrong

hi, dear xda forumers!
this is my very first post, and i am not very good at tech things, so please bear with me (plus I may unwantingly commit grammatical mistakes because i am not a native speaker and it is 2AM here)
first my back story:
I had a Huawei Mate 8 (nxt-l29c....something) European version, I had it for about 6 or 7 months, then it was stolen. By that time it had automatically upgraded to Nougat and I really liked it, got used to it, could not live without it.... so i decided to buy the same phone again. It came with Marshmallow, and I tried to update it but the OTA had been for a limited time only I guess, I emailed around with official huawei customer service asked them maybe to update my device from their headquarters or something, but they could not help me, they said I should just wait and eventually it would update.
after 3 months still nothing I grew impatient and I really wanted to have my "old experience" back, so I tried a tutorial with updating via filmware finder, using one of the first updates that were about 2GB big. It was successful, so it seemed at first, because there were no errors or interruptions, but finally when I turned it on, I noticed that during the update process my phone has lost the built in keyboard (still has the google), no more bluetooth, alarm clock, date time settings, update option
I downloaded the official rollback to Android 6 from 7 but since I updated with an unofficial update, it failed to fix my phone. now I still have the issues listed above.
Now I ended up with
Model number: NXT-L29C900B500 (originally it was NXT-L29C432B180)
EMUI version: 5.0
Android version: 7.0
Edit:
Now trying to use a new filmware from the official huawei website with the dload method
Edit 2:
it did not do anything. I will try again when I wake up
I kindly ask anyone who has any idea how to fix this to reply.
Mate 8 nougat update as far as I know have 2 update zips, I've experienced that problem when trying to update to nougat, I used twrp to flash the update.zip, I had emui 5 after but Bluetooth didn't work and some settings were missing, after searching I found that there are 2 zips to an update, a update.zip and a hwupdate.zip, basically only one was installed for you, you need to install both

Honor 8 FRD-AL00 (China) was stuck after trying to update in France...

Hi, 10 days ago my sister got her Honor 8 (FRD-AL00) china version, she didn't when she ordered it, Stuck after trying to apply a OTA update...
She going to a Huawei center at Paris and they can't help because is a china version ! So I found a lot of people who got the same problem (with china version or not) and it very not serious from Honor to got this king of critical problem.
So I try the RollBack method to Marshmallow and after 30 attempts it still was not sucessfull, I can't rollBack. So I tried to flash with a chinese ROM and after hours searching I found a Chinese STOCK "EMUI 5.0 [7.0] FRD-C00-B368 FullOTA-MF-PV". I installed it with the SD card and dload directory and YES, the phone is work again yeah !
BUT now when I go to phone informations I got this :
Model number : FRD-L19
Build number : NRD90M test-keys
EMUI Version : 5.0
Android Version : 7.0
How it was possible to my phone become a L19 version (EU) after flashing with a China ROM ? And le build number seem to be a test version while a seem used "EMUI 5.0 [7.0] FRD-C00-B368 FullOTA-MF-PV" ??
- My sister live in France so do exist any way to install an EU Rom to get futur OTA update ?
- How can I found a really lastest Chinese Stock rom ?
- Can I and how to make a reset factory / recovery to get back the original ROM version if it still possible ?
Thx

the Link for downgrade don't work, is it the article who tell to download "Honor 8 Rollback Package For NEM-L22" to make the roll Back ?
If is this, I already try maybe 30 time to rollBack.... when the installation is ending, I reboot to a black screen asking downloading the last firmware.... If the rollBack Work I must be return to a normal OS screen ?
You got a chinese Phone too (FRD-AL00) ?

Sakor,
Same issue with my phone as well, Honor 8 FRD-AL00, this is chinees android and i got this in India, And found no google services in this phone as google is not working in China, So searched for english version of Adroid but same Honor customer care refused to help on this.
I tried manually install play service and play store, but google service like play store, Map, Youtube doesn't work some time.

Mate 9 stuck on 7.0 Nougat

I bought my son a second hand Mate 9 last February for his birthday and all is well, the phone works perfectly and he is delighted.
We were talking about software yesterday and when he might get the 9.0 pie update. It turns out he hasn't even got Oreo yet and his phone is still on 7.0 and is on February 2017 security patch!
When you search for update on the phone there is nothing, In Hicare there is nothing. I used Huawei Firmware Finder and can see a number of 8.0 updates and a couple are compatible with his phone. I have followed the app instruction method to download and install, but no joy. When I follow the process the last step is to go back to the phone settings and check for update but there is still nothing showing.
Can anyone help?
He has a Mate 9 MHA-L29 Dual Sim variant.

Me too :c
I used a force update with a modified hosts for Windows and modded hisuite, unfortunately I can't find the link anymore but it's here on xda somewhere.
The procedure is you download firmware Finder in your phone, find the latest firmware that is approved for your phone, then click update via erecovery, and the modded hisuite will see it and update your phone
hisuite now can update till 9.1
