My honor 8 keeps changing my white noise app to pause during the night which is super annoying because then I have to wake up and set it to play. I've never had this issue on any other phone. Is there a setting I can change in the phone so it stops doing this? I've tried three different white noise apps and the same thing keeps happening.
Have you allowed it to run in the background
Yes and when the screen is locked as well

This thing is driving me crazy. Whenever I'm listening to music and I lock the screen in a couple of seconds after locking the screen the music stops and its really annoying cause I have to take the phone out of my pocket and/or unlock the screen. I've tried with different media players and still happens. So its gotta be something with the phone.
Sometimes it happens right after turning the screen on or it may take 10-30 seconds which sometimes make me believe that its not going to happen. Also when I hit play again either on the lockscren controls or in the app it starts with a different volume, sometimes louder or lower.
So I'm wondering if this issue happens with your RAZR HDs(or other phone) and if there's a fix.
Do you have any type of battery saving apps or memory killers?

Hi folks. I have a 16GB US GSM Moto G, and yesterday, the character of my device's external speaker changed.
Formerly, to get a good average sound level in apps, the volume needed to be near the high end, I'd say about 60-80% of max. Now, that same volume level corresponds to about 20-40% on the slider. At the same time, I started to get weird sound artefacts in one app (Tiny Death Star). I hear a light popping sound in the speaker about once per second, and every couple of seconds the sound stutters. Not terrible, but enough to be distracting. It doesn't affect all apps, but I haven't tested extensively to see if it's the only app affected.
There are a couple of variables:
1. Yesterday I installed the KitKat OTA update. I'm about 80% sure that the issue didn't start immediately after that, but I can't be positive.
2. I played with a couple of music player apps: WinAmp and PowerAmp. In the latter, I did mess around with some EQ/volume/balance settings, but I left everything where I found it. Once I noticed the new issue, I uninstalled both and rebooted the device, but the problem persists.
I also noticed the "Audio Effects" setting in the Sound settings. Tried turning that off, but it didn't change anything. I also tried wiping the cache partition; no change.
Anyone have any idea what may have caused this (and more importantly, how to fix it)? I could live with the volume range change, but not so much the stutter/pop.

When i tracking my runs halfway using runkeeper and spotify to listen to music, there is this strange constant sound alert that keeps coming out that DOESNT HAVE NOTIFICATION and keeps pausing my spotify music. From what i know, the sound keeps coming out like 30 times constantly and somehow my phone is running very laggy when i try to troubleshoot it. Then after awhile it goes back to normal.
There was once when i tried to reboot the phone and the sound still came out even when the samsung logo came out to shut down the phone. Don't know how to describe the sound but its very fast. Like notification tone fast, but keeps repeating itself for many times.
uninstall xposed and problems still occurs. Any help is appreciated. Thanks and merry christmas
After getting my new Pixel 2, I've been noticing a strange behavior while using Whatsapp.
The audio notes on Whatsapp can be played both on "loudspeaker" or "phone speker" mode, depending on how you hold your phone if far or close to you ear. This is determined by the proximity sensor, I guess.
The BIG problem is that when I hold the phone close to my ear to privately listen to the audio notes I've received, the audio starts low (normal) but suddenly goes high as if it was on "loudspeaker" mode. This is deafening! My ear really hurts when it's happening!!!
I guess this is a huge problem, like causing real immediate injuries...
I wonder if this is a problem with my phone only or it's a common one.
I've already tried to reinstall Whatsapp but with no sucess.
Please, help.
Regards.

No solution, but I've encountered the same issue as well. Even though the phone was against my head, it was like the sensor malfunctioned or something. Maybe it's something Google could fix?
Edited to add that I have worked out what the notificaiton is that is making this sound. It's under software and it flashes up with "detecting" and I hear the sound every time. Does anyone know what this issue is?
I have had my phone for around 4 weeks and it was working fine until yesterday when it starting making a random notification sound on and off all day. It was happening when I had the phone in my hand and when I had the phone on the table next to me. One thing I have noticed is that it only does it when the screen is not locked. Sometimes it did it 10 times in a row other times only once and then not again for an hour. Oppo Support tried all the troubleshooting and nothing worked. We have turned all notifications off and the sound it is making isn't a sound that I have saved for any sort of notification - it is the sound an iphone makes when a charger is disconnected. The next step is for me to do a full factory re-set which I am very reluctant to do - I found transferring my data to this phone extremely slow/frustrating. Does anyone know why this would be happening?
