Back to stock firmware? - Sony Xperia XZ Questions & Answers

I have an unlocked bootloader and have a custom rom installed on my XZ and I was wondering if it is possible to go back to the stock firmware that you get out of the box as I like that better.

Yes you can. You just have to use the Community Flashtool to download your firmware then you can flash yourself back to stock.

Flash or side load in recovery. I don't have a official Ota link. 100% unmodified

i think the safest way is to flash D6603_23.0.A.2.93 firmware with flashtool, root it with giefroot, install xzdualrecovery and after that flash the ROM you want with recovery.
I did it the way I explained before, strange

How to get stock recovery back?

I have been looking around and can't seem to find the stock recovery for my Z5 E6653. Anyone know how to get the stock recovery back. Wanna do this to get Sony's Android N update.

How to root!?
Wait so to root this device all I need to do is flash the latest twrp recovery and flash SU?
Is there anything else I need to do before that?
How do inflash the recovery? Through adb?
If anyone could point me to a guide ill appreciated (for some reason I couldn't find one)

Check the original Android development thread. Only thing is, it will permanently break Samsung pay. So if you use that, do not flash twrp.

Odin fails at sboot.bin while installing stock firmware on SM-G930F

Hello all,
I've been using some of the Resurrection Remix 6.0 beta ROMs, but wanted to go back to stock Samsung Experience 9. While trying to flash the phone with ODIN, I get a FAIL after it gets to the sboot.bin file. What do I do to fix this? I am relatively new to flashing ROMs so I have no idea how to fix this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Also if I need to provide any more info I would be happy to help.
which Odin are you using?
if you want to get Oreo on it you will have to flash with 3.13
