Flash or side load in recovery. I don't have a official Ota link. 100% unmodified

Performane wise it is good, but battery has been a big problem for me, as the stock 4.1.1 sojuk was way good in battery performance..
My phone has TWRP recovery and I have the official stock .zip file for my phone (Nexus S M200)...
The question is that flashing firmware via recovery is recommended or not? Will i brick my phone or what? Will my phone work perfect after flashing stock firmware via twrp? I dont want to use the fastboot method pls...
Need the answers fast

There are few stock ROMs in development thread which are flashable via twrp/cwm, you'll not gonna loose your recovery.

Can you please get a link to the post, as I wasnt able to search it...
Though, I found the official stock rom in .zip format (100% confirmed)... should I use this ROM for flashing? Loosing recovery or root doesnt matter... i can get that back anytime...

Just flash it via TWRP if that's more convenient for you.

I quoted just one question and i answered straight. Besides, your phone won't work perfect if it's bricked lol.
So yea, that question and that answer is sufficient for you to calm down and JUST FLASH IT. :good:
I don't have enough posts to post in the thread for Jamal's 4.2.2 Google Experience ROM, but this was so close to stock that I got a 4.3 OTA update!. Sweet!
Thanks, jamal!
Well, I guess that didn't work since I don't have a stock recovery. Anyone know how to bring an OTA update into recovery?
Recovery isn't your only problem. Even if you flashed the stock recovery, it'll fail at attempting to flash the bootloader or modem.

Hi,
I'm using only stock rom, rooted and with xposed mods on my Nexus devices. Because of trying some things out, I want to have a stock rom update.zip from the latest Factory Image on my device to have the security to flash it back to stock without a computer.
So, I've managed with some help this update.zip. It's absolutely pure stock. Not rooted, not deodexed or anything else (to root, there is a link below)
I think, some of you are thinking the same and so I want to share this update zip. I hope you have fun with it.
It works with CWM and TWRP Recovery!

Hi, i understand. Razor or flo?
vía n7II r-paco
Is this flo?
Razor is the codename and flo the productname of Nexus 7 2013 Wi-Fi model.
So it's both. Razor and flo ?

Nope, just the ROM itself, meaning no stock recovery or anything else you'd get by flashing the stock image

Thank you for the rom, will try this one. Is the latest Version of TWRP really necessary or is the most common version 2.633 good for installation?

I think 2.633 ok. You may update twrp with this aroma recovery installer http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23501681358549174

No, it's stock rom without any modifications. You can root it yourself if need.
To better understand. I have an s-on m7. If I extract the boot.img from the zip and flash it via fastboot and then flash the rom via twrp, will I be able to install this rom and not end up in a bootloop?

I did as you advise and it worked. I'm now having a great GPE based Rom on my S-on device. Everything is smooth and works as it should. A very big and appreciative thanks. Great work and kudos!
4.4.4 ready OP
Has anyone tried installing this over ARHD 6.1 (GE 4.4.3)? I am guessing it should work without wiping if I erase dalvik/cache after flashing.
Edit: Tried it myself. Works just fine. Happily using 4.4.4.
Is this build any different from the Skydragon build of @HolyAngel ? I'm using that with the ElementalX 15.1 GPE kernel.

but that doesnt answer my Q...
is rooted phones (with stock ofcourse) are getting OTA updates?
Sent from my A0001 using XDA Free mobile app
Because dolphins. Dude, as with any OTA it's rolled out gradually, not everyone gets it at once. If you can't handle waiting, do it manually. This information is available everywhere if you look.
