bluetooth question - Samsung Gear S3

Hello,
I am having an issue with BT connection- I do not want take calls via BT on the watch but I still want to receive notifications (via BT). I connect to BT normally, and I go to settings, BT, and unselect "call audio" because I have a headset I use, but the watch disconnects completely from BT and the watch is now in standalone mode and does not receive notifications. So, how can I be connected to BT but NOT take calls on the watch? Any ideas?

I have my watch and my plantronics bluetooth paired to my S7 and what I do is when I get a call is see who calls me on the watch then I answer it with the my bluetooth. Only thing that kind of suck is when I have call waiting and it doesn't show on the watch.

Does it ever show call waiting if you're connected via bluetooth?

It doesn't show on the watch but you will hear a beep tone on the Bluetooth headset. Well at least on my Bluetooth it does.

CAn you connect the watch over wifi to the phone? Tot est, turn off bluetooth on the watch and see if it will connect via wifi - this might solve the issue

BLuetooth Please!!!

Ok I am going to ask this question because there are way to many bluetooth programs here and I need to find a specific one.
All I want is for when I turn my headset on and its connected to my phone I want it to transfer the sounds to the headset and pull the microphone from the headset. So when its connected it immediately sends the sound to the headset; Not just in call sounds. I mean all sounds. I am using VITO VOice command so I just need it to send the sound to the headset and pull the microphone form the headset. Also I need it to send teh sound back to the headset after a call as well if a call is happening while using the headset for sound.
Can this be done?

Thanks nir36, I've just tried BTaudio but, unfortunately, it doesn't seem to reconnect the audio gateway after a call ends.

What I use is a program called BtMusic (available here: http://maxmobilesoft.com/index.php/software/btmusic). It is shareware, I think, but does pop up a message box when opening the program and every 5 or so times the gateway is established. I believe you can donate to get rid of these prompts, but you'd have to ask the author through that website. It isn't annoying if you don't need to keep reconnecting very often. BtMusic seems to have some advantages:
1. Reconnects automatically after a call ends.
2. Does not need the headset to be turned on before being enabled - it waits for the headset to connect and connects the gateway when it is found (you can therefore leave BtMusic running in the background and just turn on and off the headset as needed!).
3. Supports stereo headsets.
All the best,
Martin
Anybody have any other ideas?

Is there a way to auto swtich bluetooth?

I have my phone setup with my car and quality is great, but i can't figure out how to set the phone to auto switch to a bluetooth device for all calls once it's connected. Is there a way to do this?
My calls go to my bluetooth headset when the headset is already connected. My issue is that the phone doesn't automatically connect to the headset upon power on/boot up. This is the first phone I've had that does this and I don't like it.

It should be automatic, I think (or at least, in the BT devices settings). If not, try Tasker,

I don't get it. My phone auto connects for me. Did it with the tunelink in my car today and the past few weeks, did it for 4 days with my friends ford car with sync and does it at work with many different devices when I get near them.

I'm not sure I 100% get what you want. Are you saying you get the BT connection in your car but it won't send the calls to it? Your phone rings instead?
I can tell when my phone locks into my car's BT because the screen in my car indicates it. All calls then get redirected to the car's system.
My phone automatically connects when I start my car. Calls that I pickup with my steering will buttons route through to bluetooth. All that is fine. My problem is making outgoing calls. I have a feedback dial that is a pain to dial from. I like using the 1 touch calling on my phone much more - except when I dial through the phone, it never pushes to bluetooth. After connecting, I can switch to bluetooth, but I have to manually use the touchscreen to get it going. Is there any way that it can auto connect using bluetooth when I dial from my phone?
Weird, my phone automatically uses bluetooth even when I dial my from my phone. This is true for both my car's bluetooth and my bluetooth headphones. Maybe it's a setting in your car?

Did you check through the phone settings? I think there are some bluetooth settings in there.

Bluetooth Headset

I have a bluetooth headset for calls and music, and previously I used to pair it to the phone. Now I cannot do that because the Gear 2 needs to phone pairing, so I have paired the headset as media to the phone and then paired the headset to the watch.
However, when the call comes in, it doesn't direct it to the headset... does anyone know if this is possible?
My Gear 2 is connected to phone audio and my head set is connected to phone and media audio. When a call comes in is answered with the phone is goes to my bluetooth headset. If answered with the gear 2 i can push the bluetooth symbol that shows on the watch and it transfers to my bluetooth headset. This is with a Note 3 stock.

I am using GPE, so non Samsung TW. If I try and pair my headset to Phone and Media, the Gear 2 disconnects from bluetooth
There is an option to pair the headset to the watch, but that doesn't seem to do anything either
/Edit: I have the LG Tone HBS-730 if that helps and the S4.

gear s2 stay connected with cars Bluetooth?

Does anyone have any experience with this? Basically when you get in your car and the car connects to your phone for phone calls and media, does the gear s2 stay connected? Also, how does calls work? Obviously you want the call to go through the car, but does it do it because the s2 has a speaker. I know the huawei watch has this issue. Can anyone comment on this?
Everything works like it should. You'll get notifications and calls, etc. on your phone, watch, and car stereo. I use it every day without issue.

Will the car take the phone call over the watch? Also the issue with the huawei was that since the watch connected to the phone as "media" it wouldn't connect to the car for phone calls and media streaming.

Your phone should connect to multiple Bluetooth devices. And like I said, yes, it does work fine. Calls and texts and whatever will buzz all devices connected to the phone. You can choose which to answer on.

Ok thanks. So with both the watch and car connected to the phone, the car takes priority in pushing phone calls through the car and not the watches speaker, and able to stream music from your phone to the car and not the watches speaker? All while still receiving notifications on the watch? Sorry, just issues I had with the huawei watch.
You got it. I use mine daily with my pioneer hu. When all three are paired, the radio takes call priority. While streaming music through the radio, the radio will switch to phone call with caller ID, the watch will notify and the phone all seamlessly together. Answering the call comes through the radio unless I hit private on the display then it switches to phone. When I get a text, my radio displays "new message received" and the watch actually shows the message like it was the only thing paired.

Is it capable of connecting bluetooth to multiple phone+media devices?

I can't find a way to have both my headset and car stereo connected at the same time without changing the bluetooth profiles in settings. Samsung s8 can do this automatically/natively. both bluetooth devices show connected for phone and media audio.
I use a bluetooth headset on my oneplus 6 (trialing it) during working hours for calls and music.. when i get in my car, I sometimes make calls on my headset... but in between calls, I want to listen to music on my car stereo. That's fine.... IF i remove media audio bluetooth profile from my headset first...
But wait..... Sometimes I want to transfer the call from my headset to my car stereo, and/or vice versa. I don't want to change the Bluetooth profile manually every single time i want to use a different device which I have been having to do.
Pretty please can you try connect your nex to 2 devices that have phone and media capabilities and see if you can connect them both at the same time? If so... try and switch calls between the 2 without changing any settings in the bluetooth? Will you take a screenshot of the bluetooth settings page once they are connected too? I appreciate your time.
Only Samsung is making what you want. (Afair)
Yes, you can pair two Bluetooth devices at a time but only one can be used/selected for calling. If you want to pair two Devices of this type you have to disable Media or Calling for the first connected devices. Then the other one is connecting fine.
I use this in my car. Bluetooth streams music to a FM Transmitter and is connected to my car for calls. In this case (when one device is detected as media only) you can connect the Calling devices without a flaw.
