What’s required:
USB Cable / PC
SP Flash Tool or MTK Flash Tool
ADB VCOM Drivers (normally I use PDAnet)

What to do:
Download and install the drivers
Download, extract and run SP Flash Tool
Click scatter loading on right side of SP Flash Tool and direct SPFT to where your scatter file is
Uncheck everything except for recovery
In the list of images in SPFT, click the recovery line and direct it to where your TWRP is saved
Click download at the top of SPFT
You’ll see a warning pop up letting you know that not all items are selected. Just click okay.
Remove the battery from your phone for a second and replace
Attach phone to PC via USB – At this point in the bottom of SPFT, you will see the preloader communicating with the PC. The bar at the bottom of SPFT may flash a couple of different colors, then you’ll see a green circle indicating it’s finished successfully.
Detach the phone
Boot into recovery by holding volUp + volDown+power and then hold volUP to boot into recovery
By Mobile
Download the recovery in phone or move it to phone.
Download Flashify (mobile uncle tool should work too, rename the TWRP.img to recovery.img and place it in sdcard root)
Open flashify and follow the screenshots.
Go To Flash Tap And Select Recovery Image
Select - Choose a file , Download the recovery.img and select this recovery from your dir
Tap on Yes and after successful recovery flash , reboot and enjoy
By Custom Recovery (CTR OR TWRP or CWM)
Download Recovery Flashable TWRP from the given link ... Flash It and then reboot to recovery

If you are using mobile to access this then it will not show. You have to use desktop to see the download link.

Have you renamed the recovery to recovery.img and put it in the root of SD Card?
Anyone else facing this issue?
It detect recovery image after flashing boot in to recovery mode it ask I give s but it boot in to 2.2 old recovery but twrp recovery flashed no problem

After renaming successfully flashed recovery post review after usage
The best feature in ver 2.4 I found is the backup format. If you select tag+gzip the back-up size is reduced to 2/3 if only tar is used.

Previously my Rom backup size is 2.5 gb now my Rom backup size is 1.40gb good recovery
The Recovery is working perfectly fine no problems and it is getting flashed by Mobile uncle tool.

How did you get the scatter file and original recovery for porting?
Little help needed, whenever i flash twrp with SP flash tool and boot to recovery immediatly it will boot to twrp but then if i boot system and then go back to recovery it reverts back to stock recovery. Any workaround or solution to the problem. Or do i have to flash twrp everytime i want to use it.
I don't want to root first as i don't want to modify system and install everything systemless.

You can find the firmware online I got the recovery nd scatter from there.
Yes, when you flash next time just go to /system nd move the recovery-from-boot.p to anywhere safe, like your external sdcard.
I'll recommend you to root your device nd delete all the bloatware, it'll greatly improve your performance.

Well it is a pretty good phone for normal usage. People are usually complaining about PlayStore doesn't work or blah blah but that's their own fault, a factory reset fixes almost everything. Nd the cost is pretty low so I would recommend this for normal nd reliable usage. Also, checkout Noir S2 Plus, I don't have that device but everything seems pretty good on that device. Nd most importantly I could port Cyanogenmod based roms for that device. :good:

Bro I was unable to install recovery from the sp flash tools, so I tried to install it with fastboot. After installimg recovery when the mobile reboot it stucks on qmobile logo, bootloop. It cant even go to recovery, mobile just start blinking the screen. Is there any way to fix my mobile ? Please help me bro

Nope, StartMobile Jump Is A Different Model Nd Won't Work with This Recovery. Download CPU-Z App From Playstore Nd Send Me Screenshots from All Tabs. If I get some time I'll make one for your device.

This recovery doesn't work with S6 Plus. Download your full stock firmware. Flash recovery.img from it nd it'll be fixed, if it still doesn't work then flash full firmware SP Flash Tools to fix it. Use Scatter file from your stock firmware.
For getting TWRP, upload the boot.img & recovery.img from stock firmware nd post the links here.
I'll make one for S6 Plus when I get time!

The rooting method is for the phone with above specifications
ROOTING METHOD

TWRP FLASHING:
LAVA V23GB is a very good phone and has very good configuration but it is less popular and less used by developers because of other similar models like lava pixel v2 2gb and lava pixel v2 3gb.
So I made the twrp myself.
Inorder to flash twrp u have to install spflash tool in your pc
After installing spflash tool run flash_tool.exe select scatter file and tick on recovery (download link for twrp and scatter file below)
Then keep download only and click download button and connect your phone to pc
The flashing process will start automatically
After flashing twrp dont power on your phone. Just disconnect the usb and enter into recovery mode by clicking power + volume button and select recovery mode (If u simply power on your stock recovery would replace twrp so dont directly power on)
Now u will enter into recovery mode
Thats it u flashed twrp
2)flashing Supersu :
Download the supersu zip file and copy it to sd card
Then go to recovery mode into twrp
Click install and select storage and select sd card then select the supersu.zip file and swipe to flash
Clear cache/dalvik cache
Then reboot your phone
Your phone will be rooted. you can check using root checker app

Hello guys today I'm here with update for RedWolf recovery for Cool 1 Dual.
This recovery is based on latest TWRP. and Ported from latest RedWolf recovery version from mido.
As all of you know the features about this recovery (mentioned in my previous post), I've added the extra partitions in this version
previous version wasnt having modem,splash and persist. This version supports all of the partitions.
And I have to say that we are not getting that future builds as they cant be ported as they are coming with master password i.e. when i port and boot into recovery its asking for password (which I've never set) and without that we cant enter into recovery :crying: .
Bugs : -
Flashlight broken
Force enabling fast charge dont work (as we dont have kernel support)
You cant enter into any mode directly from recovery (i.e. you cant boot into system or bootloader, every time you select any option it reboot into recovery itself) do a force reboot.

0. make sure OEM unlock is ON in the developer options before doing anything.
1. Unzip the recovery from the .zip.
2. Open SP Flash tool.
3.set your DA AGENT to all in one MTK DA.
4.load your scatter.file into the Flash tool.
5.wait for your scatter to load your files.
6.unselect all files for flash but recovery.
7.load twrp_3.1 into recovery slot.
7.1 if you have 5044T flash my patched boot.img below also.
8.MAKE SURE DOWNLOAD ONLY is set DO NOT use format all + download.
9. Click start download.
10. Remove battery from phone.
11. Connect to pc with usb cord.
12. wait for flash to complete.
13. Unplug & insert your battery.
14. Hold power & volume up until the first screen appears and release, TWRP will now load.
15. Swipe to allow modifications.
16. Tap wipe.
17. Tap format & type yes then press ok
18. Reboot recovery once complete,
19. You can now root your device or flash what you need to.
20. Hit the thanks button here on XDA i spent hours upon hours building this for everyone once you reboot after formatting the data partition it will take roughly 5 minutes for your 5044 to boot.

If you need help please dont be afraid to ask here im here to help, if it does not boot on your device your board is different in which case you will need to attach your boot.img & recovery.img in a post so i can download and create a compatible twrp for your device.

Alcatel Versa
First off... Great work and an awesome easy to follow tutorial. Now for the million dollar question... I have an Alcatel 5044c. It's the Cricket version and it's called the Versa. It has Android 7.0. Is this compatible?

Hey mate,
No not for this recovery your kernel will be different,
If you 5044C is mediatek you can upload me your recovery.img and i can most certainly make you twrp for your 5044C
android version your currently on wont matter TWRP version 3.x.x supports from android 6-9
