Phone's internal Installer is Broken. Custom and Stock Recoverys Cannot Reliably Work - XDA Assist

Phone is a Galaxy S5 G900P or kltespr
Basically, my phone can't correctly install updates on its own. For example, Anything with TWRP will not work because it fails the install half way through and software updates through Sprint/Samsung can't be completed because the install crashes at like 30 percent.
Is there a way to fix the internal installer? I've been using Odin 3.12 to push firmware into my phone but that firmware requires the onboard installer to do its thing but it always fails.
Also I've done like 50 reboots, Reinstalls, Wipes (System, Develik, Cash, Data, Recoverys) Etc etc.
I think the built in flasher is broken. I tried looking online for an answer but couldn't find one. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi !
If you`re using TWRP and wanted to install the official OTA stock firmware updates then this won`t work , you need no root and stock recovery
If you`re trying to update a custom rom via TWRP then you may ask the developer of that rom for possible issues
I actually don`t really understand what kind of uodates you`re trying to install though I see an answer for you here https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=71228949&postcount=6217
Cheers !

[TRICK] Hey Guys heres how to recieve OTA while ROOTED ON GT-P3100.

I Had just rooted my GTAB2 and it'd been two days. And suddenly the news came out that Official JB 4.2.2 has been released for the GT-P3100
So i Opted for unrooting and getting back my Official status but it didnt work
But then i found this trick
1.Install Triangle away
2.Have a cf-autorooted tab (GT-P3100)(may work on other models)
3.First Reset the flash counter using Traingle Away.
4.Enable the tracker option and reboot.
5.Then boot into Stockrecovery. (CWM Recovery or any other recovery won't do the trick. U can reinstall it after the OTA.)
6.Wipe Data/Factory reset.
7.Wipe Cache.
8.Wipe Dalvik Cache.
9.Reboot.
10.Voila!!! You have a device with Official Status with ROOT and Can recieve OTA.
May or May NOT WORK, but it did work for me
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS ONLY APPLICABLE IF YOU ARE NOT USING A CUSTOM ROM AND USING THE OFFICIAL STOCK WITH JUST ROOT.
accepting the ota update will most likely unroot the device. the new firmware will also probably be patched so unless you are sure that a root exploit exists for the new firmware, than perhaps it is best to wait for the odin flashable version from sammobile and use mobile odin pro to flash. mobile odin pro has an option called everoot which will root the rom. this is probably easier to do than trying to root a new firmware with a patched kernel.

Also if we can't use any custom recovery .
, then what's the need to root the device?
no one is saying that you cannot use custom recovery. you can use whatever you please custom kernel ,recovery, rom, whatever you choose is your choice. My point is that not everyone root6s thier phone so they can flash a custom rom. In my case I use official roms all the time. official kernel all the time. official recovery all the time. my phone has official status aLL THE TIME.
so why root?
if not to flash aosp roms and cwm or twrp orthe multitude of mods and roms? yes Ive been there and done that. ive overclocked and undervolted and ran aokp miui pa u name it. I have never found a rom that was 100 percent working and compatible for any phone ever. in fact most of the time i came across major bugs that made most roms unusable as a daily driver. stability is hard to find in aosp land . the manufacturers do not release sources. so cameras and fingerprint scanners and mhl and other features either are barely functional or sometimes will never work.
I ROOT BECAUSE I CAN CUSTOMIZE THE STOCK FIRMWARE THAT I USE. without root i cant use greenify ton hibernate my apps. without root i cant freeze apps in sd maid or tibu or rom toolbox pro. Root allows me to change my bootanimations . byn 8using root explorer. root allows me to edit my build prop. root allows me to zipalign my apps. and debloat them. root improves my user experience . it allows me to enjoy the stability and long battery life and full functionality if stock roms without having to use a stripped gown vanilla android rom. been there and was not impressed. but to each his own.

Update from 4.4.2 to .4.4.3

If this was already answered in another thread please link me.
So, i have a Moto G Dual-SIM Retail on 4.4.2 and i've been noticing some minor bugs, but i think the OTA updates would be able to solve it for me. But on the other hand, my device is rooted and i have quite a lot of things (XPosed Modules and etc) on it, as well as a custom recovery (I think it is CWM). How do i update, only gotta restore stock recovery and update normally via OTA? No need to reset anything? Root will remain along with my Xposed Modules?
Thanks in advance.
You need stock recovery (some have reported that philz recovery also works) and stock kernel with stock modules. Root remains. You just need to reinstall xposed framework from installer. Modules remain.
Quick way is flash 4.4.3 vesion for Bazil utmsds ( for dual sim).

Where can i get the stock recovery and how to flash it? Currently using PhilZ but it doesn't let me do the OTA update.
And there's a thread on this section that shows how to restore stock firmware, but i'm already running it and would not wan't to wipe out the phone or anything just to update.
Thanks anyway guys!
PS: Now that i tried this without success, phone goes on rebooting to Philz Recovery after a while in attempt to update (and fails everytime of course)
EDIT again: Done it by getting recovery.img from stock firmware and flashing via fastboot (Android SDK), but now getting error while phone tries to update and when it boots get "update unsuccessful" warning.
Because u use Xposed and some module. Best way u should use Titanium Backup, backup all you apps, after that, use Root Explore ,copy whole sdcard to yr PC, flash stock 4.4.3,root and copy back all detail to sdcard, use Titan backup all apps lost and all data. Done. If not ,u still have to unroot, uninstall Xposed with all module, i mean must do yr phone like stock rom,and update it.

[Q] Rooting issue!!!

I have a Samsung galaxy Tab2 p3100,
Few dayz back I tried to install a custom rom in it thru CWM, but it was unsuccessfull.
Then I installed back that stock rom that I had backup.
Then I formatted my tab few times.
Then it shows some errorr;!!.
Then I used my phone, but when I opened SuperSU,
It is showing "There is no SU binary installed, and SuperSU cannot install it,This is a problem"
So I flashed again that rooting file thru odin 3 times,
but still itz showing the same error.
So Dev's I kindly request u guyz to provide any solution to this problem.
Its really freaking me out .
Plzzz help me Guyszz....
You may need to flash a stock firmware, something may be borked in system, by updating your firmware and updating your custom recovery it will probably fix issue . After wards root update binary again and flash roms.
Pp.
any other solutions Bro
If something is borked due to a bad flash or bad or wrong download the only way to fix it is to reflash original stock firmware in order to fix it. You then start all over again.
I keep a folder on my pc with all the stuff I need incase this happens.
Pp.
Flash a custom recovery. Download latest SuperSU zip from SuperSu thread and flash in recovery

Easiest way to reinstall stock rom

Hi all as title states my moto g is downloading the new 5.0 update but during install it says error and switches phone back on with no changes made. It was rooted and custom firmware was installed. Since then uts back to fully unrooted, stock recovery is reinstalled and bootloader is still unlocked. However still it errors a quarter into installing.
So i have come to the assumption that it is best for me to revert/ reinstall the stock 4.4.4 rom back on and try updating after that. However seen loads of complicated methods on how to reinstall the stock firmware onto my phone so want the easiest way if possible.
In attatchments is the info from the current stock rom that is on the phone (will state a custom rom has never been installed to the phone always been stock) and i have downloaded the following to put onto it:
XT1032_RETAIL-GB_4.4.4_KXB21.14-L1.40_36_cid7_CFC_1FF.xml.zip
Ive tried using the mototools v3.1 and does abserlitly nothing non of the commants work or do anything with my phone.
So which is the easiest method?
Many Thanks
major problems!!!!!
Stock recovery installed to phone. Started update it was installing and got to 3/4 of the way through, errored, restarted and not goes in a loop saying no command!
Phone will not switch on!!!
Why has this happened?
If fastboot is too convoluted - using a custom recovery, flash one of these zips:

What update were you installing when it errored?

Unable to flash any ROM on 6045

Hey there.
So, my 6045 was on that awful MM update filled with ads, so I changed the firmware to the Panasonic one in order to be able to install TWRP and next flash either Lineage or RR.
I have no problem installing TWRP using the Idol 3 suite (Here), however, whenever I try to flash the Lineage zip, or the RR zip, it gets stuck on the Powered by Android screen.
I always wipe everything before flashing the zips.
I have tried wiping cache/dalvik after flashing them, and also not wiping. Either way, and with both roms, the phone gets stuck, and I need to use the Panasonic tool again to restore the phone to a functioning state.
Please help, I've been repeating this process about 10 times, and it's getting very frustrating.
Thanks.
EDIT: Is the version of TWRP somehow relevant for this? The latest version I can install is 3.0, from the link provided. If I try to install this one I get a bootloop. Please help.
Hi, u need to flash the MM partitons zip first then the rom . Look on AlekDev customs roms threads, he usualy has the MM partition file.
