I'm trying to root my tablet without the use of a computer. I installed stumproot from their site stumproot.org. I chose this method because I read on "TECH Advisor" web page that this app doesn't need a computer to root my device. So my problem is after following all the directions, the app opens where I go to click "grind" to root my tablet but it's not highlighted. Instead it says ERROR: device not supported.
It also gave me a message telling me to come to XDA for support.
So, can someone please help me out here?!
Hi !
Check if this method can be used on your device variant ( you didn`t provide proper info about it )

well, firstly make nandroid backup this is essential many people there have a big problem after rooting their device -if you use a tool that's not good for your device you have to enter recovery mode and restore your device to that working status you just saved previously
then you have to root your device in order to get access to system files take a look at these tools or find a custom rom already rooted for you device only ! never try roms not made for you device !
then try to manually enter this entry ro.sf.lcd_density in build.prop
this is a known problem to make Market apps to work on tablets
I accidentally have unrooted my UMI X2
Pay attention: I did it with tool from Google market called RootAppDelete. With this tool I've "disabled" application "Permission Manager" (as I understand now it is kind a Superuser app?). From then on, I lost my root, or at least device behaves like this
And I stuck. What is my options to take my root back?
Please help or point to someone who can help! Thanks in advance.
NB: Tried:
Shuame root - haven't success
Method suggested by UMI itself didn't help. It just writes "[-] Failure" after step of installing SuperUser.apk.

Hey its very simple to root, but i found it after searching for it a lot. Download Kingo Root app from pc, There are two ways. 1. You can do it with android app directly in your tab. 2. Do using pc. I have done using Android app. So you can get the apk file in its website or google it. Go to products in it website and download apk for android. You have to download it from pc as market doesnt shows. After download install and open the app. It will show your Tab or android details, like Model name and android version. And details either its rooted device or Not. if it is not rooted it will indicate as no root, so click on the bottom of the page to root. It will do 4 things wait till its done till 100%. Approximately it may take around 2 to 5 minutes. After its done, Restart the device. And again open the App. Check what it indicate as rooted device or non rooted. If it shows as rooted, then your smartphone is successfully rooted. And if it shows as No root try again.
Note Try even though if your device is not listed in list, because list is incomplete, because it say "NOT LISTED" does not necessarily mean "NOT SUPPORTED".
for any more details regarding it plz mail me at [email protected]
I have searched for months on end to try and find a way to root my Goclever quantum 700s but hadnt had any luck up until now i download some software called "mobilego" made by "wondershare"
(id post the link but im new here so this isnt allowed as yet) google the above
Install mobilego to your pc/laptop
Start mobilego and connect your device (enable usb debugging)
At the top of mobilego you will see the "root" button click that and away you go it will find all drivers it needs automatically and also its app on your device (not sure why my guess would be for communication during root) your tablet will restart once or twice but just leave it to run DONT use the device once its complete congratulations you now have root access.
I tried all other methods every single .apk i could find all failed the above method worked for me so thought i would share as i see nobody claiming to have root yet so this maybe helpful
PS i would like someone to point me in the right direction as to identify what it has installed so i can maybe find a suitable custom rom that will work with the help from you guys :good:
Hello all. I have been trying to root my LG Optimus F60(MS395) for days now but have proven unsuccessful. I have the proper LGUnitedMobileDrivers installed on my PC, I have the root zip UNzipped, I have a command terminal open, I have tried PTP and MTP modes and cannot seem achieve root/SU access. The SuperSU app is on my phone but keeps asking to update binary. I have watched a couple tutorials on YouTube and have followed directions on many posts but still no dice. Notsureifuts my PC(Windows 7) or what but I can't get the "copy and paste" part of the rooting process down. I had an LGMS500 that I was able to root and flash w recovery and even bricked it then restored it to KitKat. So I'm a little familiar with some processes but not all. I also have an LG Leon that I want to root to free up bloatware and storage. But that's another mission all together.
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. I'm not sure if this is going to work but try this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2795300 You can ask in that thread if anyone with your specific devices has been successful.
